We just bought our little 3 acre 123 year old home in the country to do just this. We have just begun the adventure. Love what the two of you have accomplished. Bless self sufficiency and ingenuity. Congrats on the nuptials and the pups, lol.

Having lived way out in Colorado myself I can tell you that water is a HUGE factor. I don't think people realize that water rights in Colorado are a very big thing and before buying land make sure you can get a well permit. If there is a process I would seek this as hauling water is going to be very tiresome and sometimes impossible. Great what you two have done with the place...good luck and have a great life!

In 2022, we accomplished visiting all 50 states (which had been a goal since 2017)! Our last state was Maine which we visited in the fall. I’m looking forward to visiting Colorado again. Would love to stay at your property!!

Colorado was one of first places to look for some land to build a homestead but most of the land is in Southern Colorado in which the county has a permit for every little thing. Not to mention the cost of living in Colorado. I am glad you guys are doing well. Ryan is very handy!

I actually found this by searching YT for "5 acres" lol, because that's what I just bought. What's interesting is I'm also going to have solar but I'm not going to be off-grid. While the house is being built, I'm going to build solar racking and install 16 kW of solar panels but it will be grid-tie. I'll have the builders install a heat pump in the house so I won't need propane for heating. I plan to release a series of videos as progress is made.... until I have my dream home 😊 Thanks for sharing!

You are living the perfect life. This would be my dream life. However it's neigh on impossible here in the UK as land is insanely expensive and getting planning permission for and off grid home would be a miracle. I wish I lived somewhere else that's affordable

What you've achieved is fantastic! I'm curious about your glamping set up. Did you have to ensure your property was zoned for that and did you need to get any permits? I want to do something like that here in Florida but they seem to be kind of strict with the zoning in these parts.

When you went traveling where were your pups-/ dogs

2:44 if you are on solar and off grid why on earth do you have a gas-powered cooktop for? why not make it all electric like an induction cooktop.
