It was so nice to see the legendary but now defunct Channel One studio at 29 Maxfield Ave on the corner of Swettenham Road. Excellent video, thank you!!
Thanks for watching😀
Thanks again for this drive through. All of Maxfield Ave lookes diffrence. From you turn off Spanish town rd I couldnt recognise any where until you reach Champion House ,This was the place for good food. I was born on Mc Donald Iane 4:44 our houes was damage by hurricane Charly Aug 1951, and we moved the Molynes Rd area about 1mile from HWT square. St Andrew parish church, the old library building and the old fire brigade station brings back sweet memories.

busby 72 I know what you mean my mother never wants to drive through Kingston in her words “ no man, it too rough” 🤣
@@davidmcfarlane9185Everytime i go to Jamaica the people always ask me where did your parents grow up and when i tell them they always say the same thing," Them areas mash up".Which is a great shame as my parents loved talking about their area when they were kids..

Loving the street names feature...Awesome. That feature probably requires lots of your time.
Thank you.. Yes it does at times
Yes Boss. Done it again While living in Nigeria I used to look at reggae record labels and I am sure I seen Maxfield Avenue as the address for a record label. Just like I memorized Retirement Rd, Chisholm Avenue, Hope rd, etc.
@Sina Olowoake You are from Nigeria and I am impressed at your memory and the knowledge you have. I hope you can visit soon to see these places first hand. One Love and Blessings Bro
@@InJamaica To make you laugh, I even have a number for Chisholm Avenue that's 82 Chisholm Avenue ..ACES. That I found on a live Aces Disco album with Yellow, Buro Banton, Eek a Mouse... 1982. Released on Greensleeves label
Wow that's really cool 1982

Show us some new commerical buildings going up in Kingston. Also some new condos.
Ok
Wow, you went by st Andrew's parish church. Use to attend church there every Easter. I never knew that road was called Maxfield ave so where's is Halfway tree rd?
Half Way Tree Rd begins from the Clock to Crossroads 👉 ua-cam.com/video/E1BNWtJigw0/v-deo.html
Wow, amazing. Get to see where my hubby is from.
Landmarks?!
You are welcome. Please turn Closed Captions on to see landmarks
love it
Beautiful
Loving it
Is Maxfield Park cricket ground still there?
There was also a Esso gas station beside it owned by the Mahfood family plus there was a cinema called the Ritz
Looks like you're coming from East Ave, across Spanish Town Road...? Maxfield Avenue is quite derelict but I believe it has new roads - maybe an updated video is in the pipelines...?
Yes
@@InJamaica Look forward to the updated video.

Can you tell us some of the streets you are passing. Makes no sense when we don't know where you are, just saying Maxfield Avenue we are not learning anything from your video more than you are taking a drive for yourself. Not an informative vodeo
I agree to an extent. It would great to hear an introduction from you vocally.
2021 videos now have narration. Thanks
