we haven’t had an amazing wildlife sighting yet, but we’re hoping to get some on an upcoming trip to Alaska. Not via hike, but hopefully some good sightings on a whale watch. 🤞
@Stephen & Andie Oh my goodness, so very very envious of you guys having an upcoming Alaska trip planned ❤️ It's somewhere I've wanted to visit for a very long time, but incredibly expensive from the UK. A whale watching trip sounds brilliant. I'd love to see a grizz and I know they're more common up there! I'll be keeping an eager eye out for your Alaska content as I know I'll find it fascinating!
really unexpected charm from this Norfolk tour !!! I mean... I've never met anyone (where I live) willing to spend their holidays in Norfolk, but how charming is it?!? 🙆♂ the seals on the dune beach (only at nr 38 😃), all the countryside and the wildlife, the mills, the boat tour between the broads by yourself - I guess how much my kids would have enjoyed that... Any region has its own hidden gems, it only takes to know them, or let someone else share them, cause, Norfolk for example, is one of those places I would have never taken into account for a trip
I'm with you on this one Marco, an area I wouldn't have thought that would have much in the way of interest. However I was eager to visit all of the UK National Parks and the Norfolk Broads was one I'd never been to, so I started researching what there was to see and do and was left pleasantly surprised. I think for those in the know, Norfolk is a really popular UK break destination, especially for families as the beaches are lovely and there's a lot of kid-centric things to do too, but it doesn't get too much attention online. We loved it though!
We were really surprised too. The hike started off as 'maybe we'll get to see one or two'. Got to the top of the dunes where there was the one lone seal and it took a minute or 2 for the penny to drop that in the distance it wasn't 100's of rocks, but instead, 100's of seals. ❤️ Hikes AND wildlife all in one are the best!!
Wow - you weren't kidding when you said you got to see even more seals later on in your trip! Wonderful to see so many just chilling out and relaxing, funny how they all congregate in the same area like you said - no idea what that's all about. Loved the windmills and pumps, my favourite has got to be the ruined one, wasn't expecting to see one in that state! Very informative video, I certainly know more about the area now than I did 15 minutes ago. Looking forward to seeing the food tour!
I really enjoy sharing the facts that I learn when out and about on adventures so pleased you do too! 🙌 I agree, I preferred the ruined mill to the restored one, something just a bit more poetic about it! So pleased you enjoyed this video!
Ooooh , good question! It depends on who you ask. I have a friend (the one who I met up with in the Yellowstone National Park Vlog where we go wild swimming) and she swims year round in the North East, but that's very hardcore - especially up there where the waters are much colder! Wet suits are common place for people who regularly partake in water sports (e.g. surfing), but I'd say the majority of Brits will only go in the sea/lakes when it's very hot/we get a heatwave or its the height of summer. I can't believe I've not asked you before, but where in the US are you based? As a comparison I think our waters in summer are not too dissimilar to New England's if that helps at all?
Finally broads is network of rivers lakes in east county south into Suffolk there are Suffolk national park protected by broad authority there are attractions as British beaches Great Yarmouth cromarry holkham National parks such as Norfolk coast anob several theatres theatre royal nearly 250 years madder market Norwich play house princess theatre best towns to stay in Norfolk hustanton Norwich best for culture history Cromer for spectacular seasides Great Yarmouth for family friends thank you for showing such wonderful landscapes you are as guide tourists for all people around world stay safe blessed have great time good luck to you your dearest ones
Hey hey, yes you're right with this information too. The only slight thing was you wrote 'anob' but it's 'aonb' which stands for area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (not quite at National Park status level)

Hi Khatoon, I'm pretty sure you're the first person to comment on my videos who is Arabic (or at least they've not shared this information before) which is SO cool. Where abouts are you based? Such a shame you can't come and visit England, but pleased I'm able to share it through my videos. I know I have a very weird accent so I might be difficult to understand at points, but whenever possible, I try to put correct sub titles on the videos - I always hope it will help people whose first language isn't English as well as those with hearing impairments. Your research is spot on too, I bet a lot of Brits couldn't say which counties bordered Norfolk!! 🙏 So pleased you've found the channel and subscribed
Of all the hikes you've done, which one gave you the best spotting's of wildlife? Where was the hike and what were you lucky enough to see?

I went there today 👍👍👍. But no seals on the beach, nearby in the sea. Will have to go in the winter I think.
Beautiful sea coast adventure Caroline! How many months is it warm enough to swim?

@@WhenAdventureKnox I am in Tennessee, much hotter than the Northeast. Wild swimming is amazing (stay tuned)! 😉
