They only appeal to people who enjoy listening to the actual music. There is no media hype, no fake personality BS. The orchestration creates a professional perfection that does not make the critics jump on any particular feature, as it all good. While Cristinia has one of the finest voices in all of the progressive genre, it is not just a vehicle for her, she is part of the band. The guitar solos are restrained and do not stray outside the theme and chords of the song, as they are not a soloist ensemble. Fame is something you seek if you really want it -- it does not make for better music, or a better career as a musician. The idea that everyone wants to be Aerosmith or Taylor Swift or even Yes level is something you can grow out of. Superstardom often means writing and performing lesser songs at lesser levels of perfection, in order to cater to a rough touring business and festivals of rowdy crowds not there for you, and not caring how you sound. Also I bet all the prog artists in the UK know a lot about them, and I believe they produce music in their own studio a lot of the time.
Came across this purely by accident: thought I recognised Jon Mitchell? Absolutely gorgeous song, This is just sublime. Love the keyboards, the synth effects, the vocal phrasings, the acoustic picking, 10/10
One of the most beautiful songs ever!! I’m listening over and over. Can’t get enough of this kind of music. I hear Anthony Phillips, Hackett, Tony Banks, and BBT. My absolute favorite style of prog.
I really liked the Cyan album For King and Country and so to find this is a bonus. Lead singer has a wonderful voice and the playing is great. I want to hear more please!
I love the Masters Of Illusion album. The album is very theatrical and resonates emotionally, something all to often missing these days. As an audiophile, the connection is enhanced by the brilliant production.
What a perfect blend of harmonies so rich and vibrant all the different instruments perfectly mixed. As my introduction to Magenta, this song and Bela have really touched something within me. The middle section with the acoustic ... paints pictures of sunlight reflecting on water through leaves on trees... dappled light rippling ... and so uplifting. Christina is a beautiful singer and such a lovely looking woman
@@Bizzy368 I’m sure that they will be on the web somewhere if you Google … there’s usually a lot of sharks peddling lyrics but you can usually find a decent site that will display them for you
Does this century's musical fusion-power plant John Mitchell ever sleep!?! Here across the pond John, we all love you!! With your Lonely Robot, John please, leave home and tour with us here in the U.S.! Happy '21 to all of you and thank-you!
It was very reminiscent of one of the favorite songs "Entagled" by Genesis. Inspired by the magic of that era. Melotron plays fantastically here. By the way, I remembered one song "Envy" from the second album.
Mageta gosh wow fantastic prog music is one of the well what can you say. OK folks .I love muic with soul and soundscape. Looking forward to lots of gigs 2021. Phil Wells.
What a beautiful song! So far the two songs of the new album are amazing... for sure this is going to be another master work from Magenta!! Thanks for the wonderful music!!
Caught Christina singing on the special Spectral Mornings video for Parkinsons research. Had to check out her work. This is great stuff I'll have to explore. In a number of ways, she reminds me of Annie Haslam; same angelic quality.
Very beautifully played and so well orchestrated. Great musicians. Just loved this. You sounded like a whole amazing Orchestra....i was in an awesome trance. I could bring 'anyone' to you all to listen, and they would just love your music. My goodness. This is perfect for any type and age. What a great show !!!! What great performance !!!
Such a beautiful song with great performances from all the members. Good to see John Mitchell in there. Got to say that Chris's solo is my favourite by him.
This new album looks like it's going to be for sure one of the best prog music in 2020... I'm happy I ordered the special deluxe edition; very excited wainting for the cds to arrive soon!!
Or the electric guitars. However, I think they are just Masters of Illusion :) Watched this a number of times and hadn't twigged - it is impossible to tell from Christina's performance. She is a very gifted singer, one of the great voices.
I discovered this band way too late. And Christina's voice is probably my favorite of any vocalist.
Buy the HOME album. Fantastic, I cannot stop to listen to it
My gosh what a beautiful song and the chorus harmonies are perfect, why aren't this band bigger?

One of the most beautiful songs ever!! I’m listening over and over. Can’t get enough of this kind of music. I hear Anthony Phillips, Hackett, Tony Banks, and BBT. My absolute favorite style of prog.
What a beautyful song. Absolutly perfect! Greetings from South Germany 😊
It has a "Ripples" (Genesis) style, combined with Pink Floyd.....beautiful!!
Yea, I was thinking "Entangled"
And a bit of King Crimson, maybe?
=
Nice profile photo.
Ripples was the first song I was thinking of.
I really liked the Cyan album For King and Country and so to find this is a bonus. Lead singer has a wonderful voice and the playing is great. I want to hear more please!
Not only is this music superb but the production quality is beyond top notch. Bravo well done.
For some reason, this song brings me straight back to Renaissance´s "Novella"album.
Amazing I was thinking the same thing
Absolutely brilliant!!
What a magnificent song.

Constantly brilliant. If they had been around in prog rock’s pomp they would have been a massive band.
I want of those magic microphones that work without being plugged in!

Just saw....2:39, John Mitchell pulls a 'wooops' face as he forgot to do a single strum on the acoustic!

Just grabbed Master Of Illusion & Lost Reel from Bandcamp.
There are no cables plugged into the mics LOL!
Or the electric guitars. However, I think they are just Masters of Illusion :)
Watched this a number of times and hadn't twigged - it is impossible to tell from Christina's performance. She is a very gifted singer, one of the great voices.

Gift from Christina (a.o.)

Great song, great band, but microphones and instruments without wires looks really weird.
Incredibly good tune, incredibly bad drummer :-(
