Motor mounts like to be married to the motors in my experience with WL toys. As I was unable to find one online, and had just ordered my upgrades, was looking to find a mount a.s.a.p. however, you have given me hope I can swap, or at the very least, drill a slot for an adjustment screw.THIS INFO is so important tho! @ 2:48
So happy I could help! I have struggled to get motors off motor mounts countless times also. The buggy’s are getting better with people selling mounts separately on amazon

@@413RC Yeh keeping the front down is an issue at speed! Some weights will work nicely dude 🤘🏻🤘🏻💪
a tip i picked up was if you put rubber bands on the wheels is stops the ballooning and gives the cars tires more traction but they'd have to be heavy duty bands with an rc car at that speed it would shredd em in an instant B) and it should stop tire blow outs too

Do you know if there is a cheap wltoys brushless buggy that all the electronics and motor can be swapped to the 104009. If so you could swap the electronics and still have 2 running RC’s that would be better than buying all new electronics for the truck…
You can get a check electronics package for less than a new car. It’d be difficult to swap electronics from a smaller scale to a 1/10 like the 104009
@@413RC I think the brushless mjx buggy uses the same physical size motor and you can buy them for $99with no battery and charger on aliexpress. May be able to trade out the electronics on them. I have had it ordered for 2 weeks. I may try to frankenstein it up.

hi. i don't get it, Deans plugs are no where near 120Amp rated, not even the ultra version which is 60A rated. how come that 120A esc has a deans on it?
Because its a cheap amazon ESC. you can definitely upgrade it or get a better ESC

If you want to show yourself off just do a video talking about yourself. We get it you have a mid class car and a drone with auto pilot. Good job. I was just trying to say you're on here doing a video acting like it's for the rc car yet presentation wise it looked more like you were doing it to show yourself. Too many youtubers on here in it for their own image thinking their celebrity or something. Thats all I was trying to get at without actually being a dick and saying it.
The camera is a bit too far away from the truck and you cant see the parts clearly. For people who want to do this
Upgrade it would matter more.
my opinion is that this car is actually NOT going fast enough. meaning that the motor and gearing are much faster than the car itself. no point in upgrading it to be so fast, not even for let's say air control while jumping. if you keep loosing a dogbone of cvd every time you rung the car...that's a bit sad :( sorry for the negatives here, wltoys for me are just that: toys and nowhere near hobby grade
Its plenty fast with the setup I added. Its not really meant to be a speed run car. The point of this build was simply to show a cheap upgrade to a WLToys car. They are definitely unbeatable at their price point though
Bro, I have a question. Btw you just saved me, I spent hours finding the right video to see how to actually convert this to brushless. I still didn’t watch the tear down video on how to remove the stock electronics etc, so I don’t know how easy it is but ima ask, is it easy? Like how much time would it take and does it have any risks?

@@413RC hey, I converted mine to brushless and it’s so good!!! It is literally indestructible and I make it do jumps and wheelies and it’s all ok. I just struggle to make it not drift when trying to beat my speed record but it’s alright I’m getting better! Thanks so much!
Edit: I also got a problem with braking that when I brake while I’m fast like half throttle or more it tumbles over. Do you think that I have to decrease the brake force or do I just have to like either brake with less force on the controller or just do a few quick brakes and when it’s slow brake completely? Anyways I don’t wanna interrupt you making content since I can probably find out this myself by testing it so cya!
@@nicc2366 depending on the ESC you have you should be able to decrease the braking force using one of those programming cards. Some of the amazon brushless systems don’t have much proportionality when it comes to braking. Seems like it’s all or nothing
