No, not at all. After my first attempt, I started drinking. I thought it would be a nice way to save money on something that I buy frequently. Nope. Not at all. I have easily spent over $100 between citric acid, epsom salt, molds, essential oils, and on and on and on. Even after having purchased all of this stuff (that is now totally useless), I'm going to go back to buying bath bombs. $20 for 14 on eBay - done. I think this is a project best left to straight women. They're the only ones that have patience for stuff like kids, getting on their knees and sucking on penises, maintaining long hair and scary talon nails, etc. Yes, I am totally drunk after 1 attempt at making these. Ride on, str8ies... I have no clue why my dy-ke ass even LIKES bath bombs...

Witch Hazel or Alcohol sprayed in the mixture always helped my bath bombs harden better. 👍😉 Thank you for the video.😊

When you add water to your formulation you always have to use preservative, otherwise it start growing bacterias a mould, even if you can't see it.

I looked a lot of UA-cam videos of how to make a bath bomb, and this is the first one that mentions that you should add citric acid at the end. Thank you for sharing that tip.

My granddaughter really loves bath bombs and wanted to make some. This video was basically our attempts! The first batch expanded so much that I thought it was alive! We’ve been experimenting a lot. Grandpa is sick of bath bombs all over the kitchen, but we also found the same results as you. Not to much water; the bath bombs molds full, full, full - so full that you have to really push the molds shut. The denser the bomb the better. Remove from the mold and gently, gently, gently place on a plate and set aside to dry about two to three days. Personally, I’d rather buy the damn things but grandbaby is determined to master these. So grandma keeps helping her.

Haha I'm glad you kept trying!! Who knew these could be so difficult!? There's no exact science. It totally depends on the weather and probably which way the wind is blowing 😂😂

What a GREAT VIDEO! It’s like watching déjà vu for the last four weeks of my life LOL. So glad to know I’m not the only one who is struggling with the magic of bath bombs and the various intricacies of recipes and humidity. Thanks so much for showing your ABC’s! And I think you hit it on the nose, when you said - big part of the key is to get the moisture in to the mixture “before” adding the citric acid. After a bunch of C grade bombs I discovered the same thing. Never in the world did I think a bath bomb could bring me to tears. But when you finally get just the perfect recipe and the bath bomb comes out beautiful and smooth and doesn’t crumble
oh my goodness! Success! Haha aren’t we easy to entertain?
    Thank you for sharing! -Momo

Such a helpful video!! After using the bathbomb did you notice a filmy coat floating on top of bath water or that the colors didn't disperse into the bath water? I absolutely love that your recipe doesn't include polysorbate 80 but wondering if it leaves a film. Thanks again for making this video!

For the crumbling dry bath bombs you could crunch them up a bit more into a to a powder, add a couple of cups
of Epsom salt or dead sea salt and make fizzy bath salts :)

I might also recommend as a fellow goof up. You should tap the backs of the molds with something like a spoon to help them release easier.

Humidity is key and if you add alcohol it acts as a harderner/binder.

This is why you shouldn’t just try Pinterest bath bomb recipes… a lot of them are terrible and actually unsafe.
Especially with the essential oils, you need to measure everything by weight and percentage of your total mixture for safe usage. Also, you really need an emulsifier like polysorbate 80. Otherwise your oils will just pool on the top and create dangerous pockets of undiluted essential oils sitting on top of the water and a dangerous slippery mess in the tub.
Also, I’m not sure if you used any, but just as a rule.. don’t use food coloring to color bath bombs. That is how you get bad stains on yourself and your tub. The are also not skin safe for cosmetic use like a bath bomb. You need to use fda certified lakes or dyes or some micas… but you definitely need to use polysorbate 80 with lakes or micas or else you will still have staining issues and a huge mess to clean up.
For anyone wanting to actually make a good bath bomb, make sure you do your research. Maybe even purchase a recipe. Take an online course, read a book about it. You don’t want to waste money on ingredients for recipes that aren’t good, and you really need to know what you are doing for a product meant to be soaked in.

Hi no you shoyldnt remove them directly from the mold you keep them first in the mold for few hours than remove one side and the next day the other side.

I’m on my 4th attempt now. First one would crumble when squeezing it. Second one was way too oily (I thought more oil would help).. third I thought was perfect.. but once again.. crumbled.. I’ve done everything but spray the water.. that’s my next attempt
