Interestingly, the Nod arty is loosely based of the real world M110 artillery piece. US doesn't use them anymore but Iran does.
It's also used by Japan, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, and a bunch of other countries 😛
How about that. To me the game looks more like they bolted artillery to a flat board.
@@OneSybert I always thought they looked derpy, too, especially with the poor graphics of the time, but they could be terrifying, as we saw here!
And GDI Rocket Launcher - M270 MLRS, and Medium Tank - M1A2 Abrams, and APC - M113 etc. Most of vehicles are from real, cause it is 1999 in game.
Watching this I really hope the remasters is selling well. Surely it'd stimulate the intention to remaster the later games like RA2, Generals, Tiberium War 3. Fingers crossed
I was so happy with my copy, I bought a copy for my brother-in-law. He has some memories with it, but I don't expect he'll play it much. It was an excuse to tell EA how much I liked what they did, and do something nice for my relative!

@@TheLugia345 he does the same thing every match as well. starts with an engineer he tries to sneak into the base, and sells the MCV after building an airstrip or two. with a tiny map like this you could easily block him off at that central choke point and take him out.

Red rocking the advanced power plant, man just throwing his money away. $700 for 200 power as opposed to $600 for 200 power if you buy them as singles.
You can clearly tell none of these guys played Tib Dawn before. Especially not Bikerush, as he trained several flamer dudes and used them at the same time... and most of them died the second one took a hit. Unlike in C&C3, here (and i Tib Sun i suppose...) flamer dudes are more dangerous to you than they are to the enemy. GDI grenadiers are kinda like that too but they have greater range so less of a risk of them blowing themselves up.
Yeah.... I never got to play the OG tib dawn, so when i started playing the remasters I did the same. I learned the hard way that infantry swarm of flame troopers is not the brightest idea.
he actualy just spawned there, it is actually a spawn. It makes the map unplayable to me tbh

The random spawns on some of these maps are really bizarre.
I think this is the reason to play it. But the spawns should be similar on both sides xD
This really makes me think I should try some PvP. Looks fun!

At least they don't feel like bitsy ants like in the original. I HATED infantry because of how tiny, slow, and difficult to use they were. This remaster really fixes a lot of that!
infantry is only good for random orca attacks and for distracting obelisks
The artillery is actually a Vietnam-era M110 self-propelled howitzer 😛

Ras+kol+nik+ov(Raskolnikov) is pronounced like Ras as in "rust", but without the "t".
Kol as in "cold", but without the "d".
Nik as in the name Nick.
Ov as in "over", but without the "er".
Just add all those sounds together. It is a famous classic Russian literature character.
Also "L" pronounced with a soft sound :D

Is there still a scene for RA2/Yuri's Revenge? Those were my favourite C&C games, would really love to see them covered since we're already going retro.
Bryan Vahey used to stream RA2/YR games pretty regularly before Remasters' release.
Yeah, there's tons of people still playing RA 2 and YR online. I have been unable to get RA2 stable while recording. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
Even cncnet's channel sometimes uploads. I used to watch a very good pro player in RA2/YR, but he's not been uploading lately, maybe he went back to bilibili. But worth to check his old stuff out as he's the best of the best. RA2 carrier is his yt nickname. CsoH is his cncnet acc name.

Looks like a very imbalanced map, between the wonky spawns, whether it's randomly spawning next to an opponent or spawning in a position that is more difficult to harvest from.
what ISeeMangos should have done is immediately redeploy his MCV away from Bikerush, at the first instance of attack.
