Really helpful thanks as always. I appreciate all the content you put in these videos. Thanks from Greater London!
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Definitely shareable! One of your best (most useful) episodes! Thanks! 😎
Awesome info TG! I bookmarked this video & also sent it to quite a few others to view! Thanks...👍👍
Lately I having trouble finding stuff on Google. It's getting really good at bringing up and trees that are not relevant to your search.
Wow, great information thank you so much. I didn't know that we're so many search engines.
Thank you for posting this! Very interesting and useful. 🙂
Another great video!! Thank you guys as always for sharing!
Great video! When I use Google to search the results are limited because of aggressive advertising to sell me the products I had previously done searches for.
thanks buddy !! your help is much appreciated !!!
👏🏻👏🏻 Informative as usual. Thanks!
What I want is a search engine that gives me results for what I asked for and nothing else. If I search for Minnie Pearl I want links to Minnie Pearl and not everyone named Minnie, information on pearls, and other links not related to what I asked for. If I ask for something and specify Linux I don't want links to pages for Windows or MacIntosh.
If you put a + in front of a word you want it to have it show up for certain and if you put a - in front of it it will make sure it doesn't have that and this applies to all search engines so if you are bothered by bad results add those
@D R it's not only that they're relegated to the bottom of the list. You can't even get to them because big search engines won't even show you all of the results that they claim to return. They'll give you 15 or 20 pages of repetitions of a small number of articles from big media outlets and then nothing else. They'll tell you that they found millions or even billions of search results but they won't even let you see hundreds of them.
@@Chesemiser does not help
Wonderful resources! Thanks for another very helpful video.
Just might be the best video on search engines I've seen yet. Thanks
This is a keeper for future use/Thanks 👍👍
Thanks for the info, I will be trying out some of your suggestions to see what works best for me.
"twitter and facebook are not deemed reputable" by Wolfram Alpha, that's exactly my kind of Search Engine, just please don't forget to add evil Google to the list!
What's your problem with Google?
@@PhilMinecraft Alot! Surveillance, shadow banning ideas they don't agree with, censoring, working with CCP, search result manipulation ( choosing what you see and what you cannot see ) etc...
@@PhilMinecraft Do an image search of "white couple."
? I didn't get it @@liahfox5840 🤔
@@PhilMinecraft Unless they patched their software, there were no white couples. It was like that for at least 2 years.
Excellent broadcast🎯👍🏼 new sub looking forward to your videos.
You have quality content. I have switched to ecosia for environmental reason.
God bless you Sir for sharing information l. Have never heard of
Thank you for the useful information
- Me: googles "20 best search engines".
- Google: "What other search engines?"
Lol I tried this just to see and it shows 4 plus an expansion button for 20 more:
Bing at the top,
Google second,
Duck duck go and then...
yahoo XD
Google his a good something to use
@@knight-of-design
Ok google
@@knight-of-design Qwant is better than any of those and it's not close.
@@PeterEganLA used qwant, but it sucked ngl, duck duck go is much better in my opinion.
Thanks 👍 Very informative!
Thx a ton gonna try all🙂
Great video!
I've used Google for most of my life, however a few years ago I switched to Ecosia and never looked back
I will give that a go thanks for that. Andy England 🇬🇧👍
Try duckduckgo its great
Ecosia is actually powered by bing?
love your all videos👌👌
As always Best tech chennel on UA-cam.😊😊😊.
The ducks. The swiss cows and others look promising! Thank you!
Excellent. Please share in all schools.
Super duper vid gumbo....🤩👍
This is a great video. I did not know about most of this stuff. especially did not know how to use the bank feature and DuckDuckGo. That was very helpful.
Thank you love the idea of more Privacy especially when I have un older Chromebook and don't get any more safety updates from Google.
Awesome list buddy.. It was a really helpful info..
I have stopped using chrome now.
Good content. Thank you.
Nice, I'm gonna try the rest.
Greatt information thank you.
Who is old enough to remember Altavista, Lycos, Hotbot, Webcrawler, Looksmart, Excite, and Infoseek? I mostly use DuckDuckGo 95% of the time now and Yahoo perhaps 5% of the time.
I remember about 15 or 20 years ago there was this new start-up search engine that had a perfect visual carousel type interface, but I think they sadly didn't make it or were taken over by someone else and the technology never seemed to be implemented. I forget what the name was.
nice man so helpfull
3:49 Thanks for the recommendation, @TechGumbo ! "Swisscows (Switzerland) has been added to my Google Chrome search engines. I'll be sure to use it!"
Don't use chrome. Try brave or vivaldi 👍
I like Yippy and the rest of my family uses Swisscows. I get a lot of traffic to my website from Ecosia, Bing and Yahoo. Really love the creativecommons suggestion, didn't know about that, will be using that from now on for images. Agree with you on Qwant, they're like Google but smoking something weird.
Love your vedios 😀
Amazing, I have always used Google because it never occurred to me to look elsewhere. I am grateful for your information..
Great video, thanks
_I always feel so much smarter on 'da Net after watching your videos!_ *Thanks, TG!* ♥♥♥
Back in the dial-up days when Yahoo was king I switched to Google because it had a simple page that loaded quickly. Yahoo's home page, on the other hand, was full of links and graphics that would take FOREVER to load. I loved Yahoo for games and stuff but usually when I wanted to search it was for a quick answer. Post dial-up, that logic no longer applies but you can't turn back the clock. Sadly, it seems that Google's corporate culture has also made its motto 'Don't be evil' a thing of the past.
How come when I use search engines i can't find anything new on images noting bad just something new I want to see there has be anthoer search engine find things you know
Thanks for this ! Really.
Yea doesn't make a lot of sense does it?
Something USEFUL , Thanks!
If I "google" a city name the result is flooded with real estate ads, and I learn nothing useful of the city.
to choose an engine, search your name and see the results.
awhile ago google gave me more results than bing, but these days, bing is crushing it.
I use startpage and love it
TG Uploaded and I watched ♥
You are a great man
Hello that was a informative video
Great video
Nice editing
Best tech channel
LOVE Ecosia!!!
Was hoping this would show how to bypass google. I have to download the duck duck go app in Google play. Interesting
Thank you! Google is staying so much private data. I can't wait to get rid of it.
I won't be using Google anymore. I'll be using one of the other search engines from now on. Thanks for sharing this information.
My fav search engine is Alta Vista.
My primary search engine and default browser on iPhone and iPad is DuckDuckGo but I also love Bing.
very useful thnx
thank you sir
Is there anything like Yippy still out there? I have been trying Iseek but it just is not cutting it for me.
When I have complex hardware questions of gaming questions, Google gets much better results, it always seems to know what you mean and what you want. With Bing, a single word can make all the diference.
I really like “Duck Duck Go” and find it’s better than Google by far! I like 👍🏼 its privacy feature especially!!!
@Ecard Ecardian Sorry man! Back up your claim with some Cold Hard Facts!!!
Theyre censoring also
They were bought by Google over a year ago. I don't trust them.
@@morningglory7279 I heard they got bought out. Same old story get the public to trust in a brand/company then buy it and then invert it.
They are now censoring. That's what brought me to this video.
I've used Dogpile for the last 27 years. It searches other search engines. I like it better than Google.
Brother I am Indian but your vedios Is very important my life , very very thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😥😥👍👍👍👍
I like Duck Duck Go but I wish they would offer a better auto fill when typing in full search results. You usually have to type in all your search words in to get what you want. All in all, I guess that is better then being spied on.
It takes inking to get those to auto complete.
they do that for a reason so when you type in Po you do not get Porn
I’ve been trying to find something better bc google is so inaccurate with what I need. It doesn’t matter if I’m searching with a new/other accounts, guest accounts, or if I clear my web data in settings. If I search “better search engines than Google” it gives me more unrelated stuff like vpns and instructional things on how to use google. UA-cam is so accurate with search results and I hope to find a search engine with similar precision
I added onesearch as one of my search engines but each time I search a pop up appears saying to agree to Google terms and conditions. Does that mean by agreeing your search results are not private?
Is there any search engine where I can even see removed content also or taboo contents without being tracked
Great list! The Microsoft Bing and NASA URLs are swapped.
When I tell my wife to search something I tell her to check out what Mr. Crosby has to say. This may date me but it works for us when searching. LOL
I alway loved the beautiful pictures on bing. I love Duckduckgo. I mostly use it as a web browser. Thanks.
huge fan of Ecosia and what they stand for here... :)
Another good ethical browser is Ocean hero
Instant like.
Have been using Startpage and ixquick for almost 8 years! Love them!
I used ecosia in my smartphone and Ocean Hero in my Laptop
What about Bravo? Could you review it, please?
Advanced search engines are immensely useful in searching for some specific resource on the internet, where google search is limited.
Huh
It would take too long to go into all the reasons to avoid Google, so I will just say that 99% of my searches online are via DuckDuckGo. The only time I use Google is for maps, and when I do it is always from a private window which is closed as soon as I am finished with my immediate use of the site. No long do I have ads for anything and everything related somehow to my web search following me for weeks.
Moreover, using Google search today never nets the most relevant information, but the information Google wants to feed to you.
you may want to try adblock plus for your ad problem. i've been using it for years & love the ad free experience.
Ecosia image search is really good.
yes it is. I also love pyrite search
Sidekick browser best browser so far!! You should try it!! It was featured in PHunt
Duck duck go gets our praises
The shape of your abs is better than my future ! 😂
Yes Yippy uses customised ads..from Google, at least. Several sources report that DDG does not respect privacy laws.
TY. Looking for search engines that dont block 90-95% of all content, especially concerning suppressed history, esoteria, etc.
Peace from Canada.
yr info is right.
Askjeeves used to be awesome. Dogpile was good too, back in the dialup days. Then it fell by the wayside. I use DuckDuckGo, an Searx now.
Yep !
Been using startpage.
I was using start page before I learned it was owned by an advertising company.
This needs more views
Ah, Nice!😃🙂
"Powered by bing"......... yeah.
Anyway, great stuff, Useful.
Course. Search is hard, especially keeping it free.
I've been using "Dogpile" for decades.
I use Brave and Bing Altavista
Hi. I would like to reccommend another search engine named SearchScene, it's layout is somehow like Bing and 95% of their profits go to charity. Their search is powered by Bing.
Where have I been ?? Thank You!
4:57 Uh... Read the text under that genre title, man. "American Heavy Metal band"; That's exactly what they are! (I dunno WHERE they got "Rap" from though, I agree. Geez!!!)
I just want a search engine that gives me what I am actually looking for is that so hard
2:27 if you have Duckduckgo as your main search engine, you can use the !bangs just by searching them in your browser
What is a good email sight to use? I have GMAIL
“I use the dark theme” I’ll assume that DuckDuckGo is your preferred search?
I use Google, but very, very tweaked. They have massive amounts of data. After that, I like Duck search engine a lot,
