- M70 V12/6-Speed E34 Touring exhaust and startup. I absolutely love the sound of the starter. Don't mind me hitting the camera with the door. :s

As stated, not actually a straight-piped example, but a sleeper like this shouldn't be straight-piped if you ask me. Not every car has to be antisocially loud; this is just about perfect for a V12 wagon, as I see it. Thanks for showcasing!

This was a prototype that was done by BMW PAUL ROSCHE. I'm not sure if this one was one, but it may have been a swap that another person did?

Straight pipe in the US often means "test pipe" or cat delete. Confusing and needs to stop

One of the best m70 sounds i have heard. How did you build the exhaust? only 1 muffler after cat?
"Muffler" It's stock DPs into a dual 3" in and out Y, then single 3" to the "muffler" with dual 3" outlets.

E34 Touring was never sold with the 3.5L M30 engine, so this could not have been a 535i.
Daniel Stance this car had an m30b35 swapped into it before the v12 was in there.
That's what I figured, but it's not originally a 535i then.

Bet your life. It has bad valve guides and ate oil. I've since totally rebuilt another M70 and swapped it in, so keep your panties on please.
Jeff Hollen bad valve guides? I heard this was never a problem with the bmw v12 engines. Or at least, it’s not a problem on the m73?

there are adapter plates you can buy to attach a 420g to a v12
@@derekpauldarch Nobody in their right mind swaps in the 560G. They cannot be serviced anymore, whereas the 420G is rated for this engine just fine and BMW still supports it to a degree.

^^^ as well, although hard to find, the 560G from the 850csi is a 6-speed that fits the m70/m73 with no adapter
