8:50 One trick that I would do was would be to always hit the hotkey for the primary skill first when leveling up. For example, do Breath of Fire 1st then Drunken Haze even though BoF would already be allocated at level 2 and 4.
Back in my days we played on 15 fps with 300ms+ latency. We achieved gladiator on wow tbc with these lags :D

Is slippers of agility good or bad on far seer? I've seen grubby find this item and then sell it(and he wasn't in an extreme scenario like all peons dead or something like that), and here he actively bought it from a shop. I am confused...

One thing I've always wondered about both Warcraft and Starcraft is...do you ever use Patrol? Is there any actual tactical use of Patrol? In Broodwar I remember it looks kinda cool sometimes...but I never actually use it.
In starcraft brood war you used it on a bounch of units when kiting. For example Mutalisks agianst chasing scourge, or vultures in general u use patrol to turn around and fire quickly. But other than that I don't know if there's any uses in Wc3 or Sc2

My background is AoE2 so go easy on me, but can someone please explain to me what's with the incessant spamming of the gather points at the start of the game? Feels like it serves 0 purpose other than increasing your apm😂
The optimal number of workers in a mine is 5. The game caps the income from gold mines by slowing down the gathering workers that have to walk there (peasants and peons for humans and orcs respectively). By putting 4 instead of 5 workers on the mine and spamming the gather button Grubby can overcome that slowing of their movement speed and gather slightly more gold than 4 workers would without spam, but still slightly less than 5 workers. This means he can put that fifth worker on lumber, but it won't cost him a whole workers worth of gold. So he makes slightly less gold but is up on wood.
I don't know what's the usual APM in AoE2. But in WC3, especially at Grubby's level, I would expect him to have 200-300 apm on average. By spamming way points at the beginning (since there aren't much to do anyway), the players essentially are keeping their APM to certain level, so it will feel more natural to maintain that level of apm throughout the game.
Like say you're playing a game, and you're playing at 10 apm at the beginning, it will be hard to jump to 300 apm (like for microing a battle) when you need to, because it's hard for our body to cope with it.
@dark3031 the average over an entire game is rarely over a 100, players tend to conserve energy in moments when there's no fighting since even 1v1s can be over an hour long and often you play several in a row. That's why it's so hard for me to grasp why someone would just spam click when there's not a game situation that requires it.
@@GvF11 Yea, I guess that's the main difference. A game that averages over an hour long, vs a game that averages 10 to 20 minutes.
@dark3031 I mean the average is probably like 30minutes, but you don't know how long the game gonna be when youre getting into it, the potential for a longer game is definitely there, whereas in wc3 the resources are a bit more finite and fights (especially the ones resulting I hero deaths) generally have a higher potential to abruptly end games.
So like... I kinda get it, but the whole warmup spam click thing is so damn tilting anyway😂
