He's been in a lot of different movies and some TV stuff. He's one of those guys who's just a really really good actor, and also just a really really good person.. he's done so much for Down syndrome the Special Olympics
His great acting is one thing, his inspirational, truly admirable service to the disabled children's community is what sets him apart from all of his peers. Hollywood takes a far backseat to his duties as father and caring human, so bravo for that.
I do not think this will ever get to you but I saw your movie in the 1980s and in the mid-1990s I listed in the military and was stationed overseas and had the opportunity to be a part of the Special Olympics and I always remembered what you said about special needs kids and try to help them as much as I could after my deployment to the Balkans
Met him briefly in a pub in Belfast a good few years ago. Place was packed like sardines and he came in with his cousins (I think). Been playing golf up in Portrush. That big smile of his. Slowly squeezing his way to the bar. Which was five deep.
@ Ah okay I see what you mean. So we were in White's Tavern for a mate's birthday. It was early June and really warm. Upstairs is packed. I'm chatting with my mate and I see this face coming towards me with a group of guys. Pushing through. My mate sees this as well. Just as he comes through I stick out my hand and shake his. "John McGinley. How's the form?" (I think I might have said John McGarry so there you go) He says "Great. Just been up the coast playing golf". I looked up the guys he was who said something about being his cousins. "So what are you doing now?" "Going to the bar for a beer?". He made that ducking and pushing gesture, pointing through the crowd, like doing the breast stroke. " Well good luck" I said "It's five deep. You might have a chance" He just smiled that big smile and there were off past me into the glue of people. My mate just turned to me and laughed saying "Of all the things. And you just stick your hand out cool as a cucumber like you've known him for years". He gave off that kind of vibe. I thought I'd treat him like a person. Which he seemed to appreciate. Although he was more concerned with the beer.
also from Martin Sheen speaking to Charlie's great generosity - i.e. Charlie helping everyone, giving everyone a-hand-up. Good to hear positive things about The MaSheen. .
Wrong wrong wrong wrong, wrong wrong wrong wrong Yourwrong, Yourwrong, Yourwrong. Out of all his put downs, this one sticks the most Him and Christa Miller were amazing.
Great movie for anybody who’s a fan of John c McGinley: “Watch it” , from late 80’s, I’d guess. It also has Jon Gallagher, Suzy Amis, Tom Sizemore, others.
I forgot my lines in a first grade Christmas play in elementary school (that's when you could actually talk about Jesus in public school). The kid beside me had to feed me my lines. I've never forgotten about that horrible moment.
Thought the same thing! Love John, but this story didn’t make a fucking bit of sense. Something about Teamsters, and understudies, and forgetting lines? How they all go together I couldn’t make out.
John McGinley is one of my all-time favorite actors, but this story didn’t make a bit of sense to me the way that he told it. Is he basically saying he forgot some lines once?
Charlie should throw-out-the-first-football-for the Browns this year - thing is I'm not sure Charlie is a Brown's fan - behind Charlie OBJ would have his greatest ever year. .
Why John McGinley is not in more movies/tv shows is baffling. The guy is truly talented and intelligent.
The guy below you says that he “can’t count the number of movies he has been in.” Ask him.
Office Space
Also extremely handsome!!!! Even now!!!!
@@patsfan4life "come again?? 8 different bosses???"

This man is seriously an amazing actor. Absolutely kills it in everything I've seen him in.
Remember him in Nothin to Lose?

His face when Dale Dye gives him 2nd platoon in Platoon is priceless!
I got a bad feeling bout this one.. ya know I mean a bad feeheeling.
Why’s that Lieutenant? Whatchoo savin up to be, Jewish?”
"Bunny we leave now and nobody's seen a fucking thing!" Love this dude!!
We all gotta die sometime Red.

He was hoping to see Betsy
Underrated character actor who was part of many iconic movies: Platoon, Wall Street, Se7en, Point Break, The Rock, and many more.
SCRUBS!!!
Hugely underrated character actor. I can't count how many movies I've seen him in
Yes he is great 👍😎
How is he underrated? He's very respected and been in huge movies and TV shows. Not underrated. Stop using that term

@@RuhDolu Tom Cruise? Overrated! 🤷♂️😉
"I got a bad feeling about this one Bob".
Everybody's gonna die sometime red
Was just about to write this 😂
He literally did not have a Charlie Sheen story. Title is 1000% click bait.

so you really don't have a McGinley story

Luv'd John in Scrubs! Best medical sit-com EVER!

So, his Charlie Sheen story is that he can't tell ANY Charlie Sheen stories.
Actually a REALLY good Charlie Sheen story…. Considering what we know about Charlie.
"So, what is it YA DO here?!" Such a good actor
"I am a michael bolton fan.
I celebrate his entire catalog."
Os
He’s got upper management written all over him
Of course you must be an even bigger fan being that you have the same name as him
You must really love his music.
"Ya, ya. He's ok I guess".
You're goddam right he is!
What I got from John C. and Rich was/is how beloved Charlie Sheen is.
-Dudes just love the guy.
.I can see John and Charlie having some nyc fun.

Such a great actor, he is amazing!
I literally fell in love with the show Scrubs because of him and his character Dr. Cox.
Wrong wrong wrong wrong, wrong wrong wrong wrong
Yourwrong, Yourwrong, Yourwrong.
Out of all his put downs, this one sticks the most
Him and Christa Miller were amazing.
Same
Dr. Cox was the best character in that show!
*you're
did you LITERALLY fall in love with it? That's LITERALLY amazing. I'm LITERALLY lost for words.
LITERALLY: the most raped word in human history
Such a great actor. Loved him in 7even.
Now that's funny.
I miss Scrubs, and Dr. Cox :)

Yes me too he was so nasty but still had a heart WAY DOWN THERE
JCM is getting that Al Michaels tone and East Coast/New York accent going.
This guy is a real pro. Even now, you could see how upset he is about his acting faux pas from 40 years ago.
40 years ago? Not quite 33 years ago they made the film Wall Street.
I admire this man, he has a big heart. And he’s a very good actor too.
So good in Platoon and Office Space. Diametrical roles and he nailed both.
I got a bad feeling about this one , Sarge! Real baaaaad feeling!!!
Great actor and awesome 👍
Huh? When does the Charlie Sheen story begin exactly?!?
Zach Braff was his understudy!
I'm not even an actor and that story was fucking amazing.
" what is it that you DO here"
i like this actor!!! - i feel like i seen him in 20 movies
He was also born on August 3rd, like Charlie's father, Martin :)
I'm glad he let the Understudy take his place. Maybe the Understudy needs to have his chance in the Spotlight.
He'll always be 'Harp' to me. Legend.
This reminds me of that old Buddhist maxim “What is the sound of a Charlie Sheen story that is never told?”
Great movie for anybody who’s a fan of John c McGinley: “Watch it” , from late 80’s, I’d guess. It also has Jon Gallagher, Suzy Amis, Tom Sizemore, others.
He'd own the Lex Luthor Role.
They way he take specs on acting makes me feel very very dumb but also impressed 😂. Zero idea wll the jargon
I forgot my lines in a first grade Christmas play in elementary school (that's when you could actually talk about Jesus in public school). The kid beside me had to feed me my lines. I've never forgotten about that horrible moment.
How is this a Charlie Sheen story?
@Jerry L. Corey Haim's mother denied such claims, in matter of fact, her son told her that what you said never happened.
Oh it’s just click bait
Λαυρέντιος Ψαροκάηκας She knows the twisted truth about hollyweird, she said that to haim so nothing would happen to him. He should be in F’n jail!
This guy was amazing in stephen kings Insanity. Must see movie if you haven't seen it.
McGinley is awesome.
WOW, nice click bait! So what's the Charlie Sheen story? Can I get that 2:55 back please?

very fine actor, did great work in films
I love him as an actor, but I didn’t understand much of what he said here
Wished you asked him how it was working with Sly in Get Carter
Favourite McGinley line.... ehhhh somebody call somebody. Any one??
This is nothing about Charlie Sheen
TMWSITY I’m talking about the title of the video. Not so much mcginley
They don’t have the guy who whispers the lines to the actors?
He starts off saying there is no charlie sheen story, and he doesn't give one, he talks about a play he was in. Talk about a misleading title!
More of John please
Oh! Missed your cue there Sally? Lol! (Dr. Cox!)
"Seems we have a shortage of assholes around here." "Not so far....."
he was so funny in OFFICE SPACE.
Johnny C is always jacked!

Nothing about Platoon? Or Sheen?
McKinley has not changed since his days at Millburn high school
You knew him. That's very drummer from Green Day.
Yeah, I understood all of that...
He's talkin' about the Knicks aaand CHICKS!
Had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Charlie Sheen!!!!!
I just blew five minutes my life to hear a story about how this guy forgot his line...
I could listen to Johnny C read a phone book.
Dr Cox
His character O'Neil got screwed over in almost every scene.
@Swamp Donkey he calls him Red , but yeah i see yer point
@Winston Churchill's Ghost Who u talkin to ?
Hey, O'Neill, take a break. You don't have to be a prick every day of you life, you know.
