Plot twist: he didn't really want to do cameos he just wanted to save money on extras 😆
I trust and believe that statement.
Michael G. Wilson. The "Stan Lee" of James Bond films.
Holy cow so that makes Wilson the only one to share screen with Moore, Brosnan and Craig?
4:26 when I saw Goldeneye at the cinema in 1995 I noticed Michael G in that scene - I was proud of myself for being such a fan!
I guess Michael G. Wilson is the Stan Lee of the Bond films lol. I had no idea about his voice in A View To A Kill. I think my personal favorite of his cameos is probably from Tomorrow Never Dies.
Good to see all the cameos arranged together in one place!
In the official James Bond Encyclopedia there is a little section where they go through under all of Micheal Wilson's cameos. He's depicted as a possible double agent for the CIA whose identity is unknown, but is suspected to be Russian hence the boardroom scenes in Octopussy and Goldeneye.
I believe that he has a kind of on-screen cameo in Licence To Kill - when Bond cuts the police tape to get back into Leiter's house, the close-up of Bond's hands is actually Wilson's hands.
Michael G. Wilson was a partner in a law firm when his stepfather, Cubby Broccoli, brought him in to help during the 'divorce' from Harry Saltzmann after 'Man with the Golden Gun' and was key part in ensuring Cubby took full control of Bond.
He's also worked as an assistant director [Goldfinger], Cubby's assistant [Spy] and as a writer [uncredited on Moonraker, co-writer for FYEO-Licence to Kill].
Slight correction 4:10, while Goldeneye was Barbara Broccoli's first time as producer [having previously been assistant director on Ocotopussy +View and associate producer on the Dalton films], Michael G. Wilson was a producer alongside Cubby from View to a Kill onwards.
Tupac famously gave a speech that mentions the producer dancing in the videos. Who knew he was talking about Michael G Wilson.
That was Suge Knight who said that on the Source Awards
I wanna see Michael G Wilson wearing a _Where's Wally_ outfit in his next cameo!
Fun Fact:
Albert "Cubby" Broccoli's daughter & Bond producer Barbara also has a cameo in *"The Living Daylights"* but unlike her step-brother, her cameo was just a one-time thing.
Oh really? Where does she appear?
@@DutchBondFan
According to IMDB, she played a soldier in the snow sequence.
Very good observation
Love the videos pal keep them coming
Cool, I love mick G. Btw hope you can discuss how Mick G very essential in Bond production and how Cuby trusted Bond to him and barbara on your next video
Entertaining video. The cameos are a nice bit of fun, especially when it's pretty prominent like 'Casino'.
great video as always
Wow, how did I not know about this?!
Spotting the MGW cameo is always a highlight of watching a Bond film a second time on the big screen. Some are obvious like TND, CR and some like Spectre we don't know about until much later.
Unless it's been done far more discreetly I've often wondered why Barbara hasn't had any prominent cameos. Knowing her love for DC I'm surprised BB didn't slot herself in as the girl Bond has with him in the villa in Turkey after the intro to Skyfall.
I know the children’s puzzle books of “Where’s Waldo,” dude, since I was a kid.
He also turns up in No Time to Die, during the Spectre party in Cuba.
Trivia question: Who made more cameos in their own movies: Alfred Hitchcock or Michael G. Wilson?
Happy Easter Jeroen!! Hope you and Lyrith have a good one.🐣
Love this!
This is really funny
On a much-smaller scale, I know that Michael Nesmith had cameos in at least 2 of the films he produced, TIMERIDER (near the beginning) and TAPE HEADS (as a guy delivering water who's mistaken for a record producer). If he's in REPO MAN, I've never noticed him.
Plot twist… his son will be the next James Bond
In "The Spy Who Loved Me" I think that Michael G Wilson is the one with the dark blue T-shirts. I don't know, but for me he looks younger and thinner for that year.
Thats what I sometimes leaned towards myself. But apparantely from research, he's the tan shirt one ...
@@DutchBondFan Well, this time I think differently and I respect your opinion. By the way, I also posted a video (three months ago) about the MGW cameos. Even for me the one in the blue shirt looks more like the MGW that we see in "Moonraker". Just have to make the comparison.
In Goldeneye Michael G Wilson's hand can be visible on scene when you see guy killed by Xenia Onatopp. The hand takes document (passport?).
Nice video
Podría haber un video sobre breves apariciones de actores famosos, que cuando aparecieron no eran muy conocidos. Como Gerard Butler en Tomorrow never dies
Great video.
His part in TND was pretty lame but otherwise some fun cameos over the years.
Where is Michael G. Wilson at now?
So he's Stan Lee of Bond universe?
Oh micheal g Wilson, I remember seeing him in some. But the very first Easter egg I found was in die another day as a USA General.
Happy Easter Jeroen, did you and your girlfriend eat any Chocolate eggs?
5:09 wait isn't that him that say to Call the President when the Missile get Destroyed by Icarus?
You got a cold?
Yeah I did, show had to go on
The first and third ones look nothing like him.
