Lovely project! Decoupage is a favourite of mine. A little tip; instead of cutting off the edges with scissors you can take a large nail file or a piece of sand paper and file off the edges. Just make sure to file from the top and downwards away from the glued side of the card (not up and down and not side to side) this gives a neat edge. TFS 🤗🕊️
Thank you so much; I'm glad you like the idea 😀 Good tip with the sandpaper/nail file - I had heard that before but I definitely need to try it 😀💖 xoxo
Hi Justine, someone might have said this already, but if one doesn't have playing cards, file cards would work too although they are not as sturdy as the playing cards. These are very versatile! Happy to watch you today 😀❤
Thank you very much 🤩💖 I bought it from a shop here in the UK called Hobbycraft. I believe it was last year that they stocked some Country Diary products... they may still have some or maybe there will be some online 😊💖
Potentially - just as long as the paint can stay on the playing card. I presume it can - you may also need to water down the paint so you can still see the playing card pattern through the paint 😊💖
If you are not getting messy you are doing it right !!
Haha very true!! 😅😅
❤ turned out beautifully! I hadn’t thought of gold tissue paper/napkin or even silver, thanks for the inspiration 😊
Thank you so much! I'm thinking I'll use the gold for autumn - it'll make a lovely background with some brown papers or book page 🤩💖
I love these, one of my favorite crafts is decoupage. I have done picture frames boxes and all sorts.
Amazing! I'd love to try decoupaging something proper one day 🤩💖
@houseofmahalo it's so much fun! I even have done the inside of drawers. Then I seal them of course with acrylic. But it looks awesome.
When pulling napkins apart put a piece of sticky tape on either side of napkin they pull apart so easy x
Thank you - I definitely need to try this next time 😀💖 xoxo
How fun! I have loads of napkins to work with. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you so much 🥰💖 Haha, I know the feeling! These only used my scraps up, oops lol
Great idea on the mass make! Definitely love the finished tuck spot card. TFS
Thank you so much; I'm so pleased you like it 🤩💖

Hi Justine, beautiful! x 🌸
Thank you very much lovely 🥰💖
Use 2 pieces of blue tack to separate napkin pieces. Easy.
I definitely need to try this! 😀💖
No clue about gesso. Could white acrylic paint accomplish same effect? As you just need to cover slick surface of card.
Potentially - just as long as the paint can stay on the playing card. I presume it can - you may also need to water down the paint so you can still see the playing card pattern through the paint 😊💖
Why not use the white back ply of napkin for a scrappy look on a journal page or tag or. . .
That's a great idea! 🤩💖
I call gesso giving it “tooth”
Yes, that's a great way to describe it 🤩 I'll remember that one! 💖💖
Where. Is the sound??
Hi there, the sound is coming out fine on my computer 😊
