- If you or a loved one are facing a life-limiting illness, do you wonder whether a film / a message might help you or your grieving loved one? Perhaps a message to your child who can watch it when they are older and can hear directly from a loved one.
There are many powerful reasons to create a legacy film. Kerry Glass, founder of Memories Live, has been creating films for families for 12 years. This is a way for many family members to grieve, create legacy and honor their loved one.

For me even being in the photography business for 25-30 years both stills and video, I couldn't do it. I cared for my mom for just 2-3 years at the end. We are all very different in our motivations and actions and for me selfishly perhaps, I knew I would never be able to look at the ftg or photos anyway and the invasion it felt like wasn't worth it. To this day she passed away 3 years ago in November on the 16th, I have some of her vc mails and I had recorded some of our talks and I just can't listen to them without falling completely apart. I was my mom's only son and I am the baby at 66 years old and those dynamics may play a part in why I am one photo or memory away from an emotional breakdown at all times. I admire what you were able to do but I just wasn't able and it probably had a lot to do with I was very busy as her only care taker. But oddly enough I ran across this video tonight at the end of a day of purging some things, photos, stuff that stirs up memories that I have to selfishly give away in order to save myself from a heart attack or stroke from grief and despair. This isn't going to turn into a therapy session so I'll just leave it here and tell you we are both members of a club we never wanted to be a part of and I get it. From one orphan to another, peace and God bless.
