There are a select few people that have good sounding raspy singing voices . Corey isn't one of them . His raspy attempts at singing are like fingernails on a chalkboard to me no matter what style he's doing .

I didn't sound this bad learning to play guitar and sing in 1975. I went on to play for 34 years professionally. If I ever sounded this bad I would never been paid and probably would have had the shit kicked out of me. I give Corey credit it's hard to be in the business but he is determined ( not at all self aware) to do his thing. No matter how horrible it is. I don't know how his band can face themselves in a mirror. I used to think he was just harmless and goofy but, the more I know about Corey the more I know about he I have come to think he's a total creeper. A friend of mine put out the record that this song is on, Former Child Actor. I kept telling him it was awful and a waste of money. He didn't listen and he lost about $30,000.
Corey has an awesome stage presence and a high energy level that is perfect for lead in a band. I think some breathing work with a professional trainer could help with vocals and perhaps a quick course in song structure and perhaps even a comprehensive scale lesson.
