Absolutely fantastic performance. I haven't been to an air show for many years; I've never seen any aerobatic flying so impressive. I'm amazed.
Watching this flyer made me realize just how boring my life really is.
And that is EXCATLY why the guy flew that plane that day too. And not to mention why the person filming filmed the video.

Goodness this guy is Amazing.
First of all, maneuvers I've never ever seen, and second, that plane is crazy powerful! Can you imagine that thing, by itself, in WWI? Hell someone flying that could be an ace in WWII.

6:05, whatever that aerobatic manoeuver was, that would seriously could nearly either knock or kill an untrained pilot from that manoeuvre. That is seriously no joke, this is only used by exceptional skilled aerobatic pilots like Stewart here. He’s just a God at aerobatics in his jaw dropping Bi-plane

These maneuvers are only possible thanks to the highly modified Pitts - larger wing area with more predictable stall characteristics - plus a massively overpowered engine. With a great pilot of course !!!

Anyone know how the sideways slip sliding manuever is done
At the beginning? Don't quote me on this, but I think it works like a normal forward slip, with the plane's power compensating for less lift at that angle.
Knife edge flight, control the descent with power.
