The opening cutscene has some nice subtle foreshadowing. When Irons first shows up, he appears as a dark, sinister silhouette, but then the lighting becomes warm and welcoming when he walks in. This hints at his more nefarious nature under that grandfatherly persona.
Mitchell also says "What happened to that guy we pulled out of the drink anyway?" Referring to the Nigerian prime minister they rescued in the last mission, Gideon says that Irons took care of him, and later on in the game we see leaked intel of Irons killing the prime minister.
@@Awesomenessgaminglebrony Actually it wasn't the prime minister, it was the technician that they rescued from the van that fell into the water who Irons killed.

Advanced Warfare felt criminally underrated in my opinion. An amazing campaign with stunning visuals, complimented by a solid multiplayer trying to integrate exo-suit combat into the game for the first time. Loved this game.
Actually quite interesting to now know that this mission was actually rescued from a early AW build where it was once a sequel to Ghosts called Phantom tbh
Phantom was the prototype name for Ghosts, this one had the internal name of "Blacksmith" Sledgehammer simply had to reuse the Phantom logo as a placeholder, lol.
The funniest part of the campaign is that your allies run in front of you when you shoot and give them only 1 bullet and you are already returned to the checkpoint lol
they do, then overlay the actors with animation. it keeps the player in the game and in the moment, plus they can do other stuff like have wounds look different for less of the cost. sorry if you dint want a long winded response

Advanced Warfare caught a lot of flak back then and I honestly don't think it deserved it, it's not a bad game by any means

COD AW sucked when i was in a tank the soldiers were hacking. I blowed up a car but the soldiers are still alive.

I notice that Call of Duty maintains the tradition that whatever helicopter is closest to yours during the insertion scene will always get shot down.
