Nice to have a little peak into you Texas life. That grocery store was huge! I was in Houston once and found everything there to be so big! Even compared to the rest of the US. Did you know that The Netherlands fits into Texas for more than16 times? Loved the tree ❤️.
Everything really is so so big in Texas, and Houston especially! We were overwhelmed grocery shopping for sure. Thank you for your kind words about the tree, it's so special. We appreciate you so much Jiska, thank you!
So sorry about your loss. The memorial tree is on a beautiful part of land. Very beautiful overcast day too which I love about Holland too when no sunglasses are necessary which makes the scenery look like a painting.
It's beautiful to see how fond you are of each other, both in happy and in sadder moments. Also thanks for the peek in your 'Texan' life. Hope you return safely here in the Netherlands!
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so lucky to have each other. We had a really nice time, but it's nice to be back here in The Netherlands. Thanks for watching!
So sorry for your loss! We went through the same, and subsequent struggles with getting pregnant again. Nature does what nature does... In the end, with the help of great doctors, we were able to get pregnant again and had our first kid. I hope you'll eventually be able to overcome and have yours too. I wish you the best!
Thank you so much for sharing your story. Infertility struggles can make you feel so alone, but it's always nice to be reminded that there are so many of us! Congratulations of your first child, we hope to follow in your footsteps soon!
So nice to see you at your Texas homestead. I’m sorry for your loss and the tree is a beautiful way to remember. I lived in Austin in the 80’s and really loved it! Didn’t want to leave and have all good memories- even the scorpions falling out of vents! Not to mention the spiders!
Austin is an amazing city- so vibrant and fun. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and for your kind words. They mean so much to us. We appreciate you!
Very nice to see a little peak of your life in the US. Wow so many choices in that grocery store. Love to see what you guys eat over there. Have a good time there.
I loved this video! Seeing that tree had my eyes filling up. I pray you have a family soon, you are such a nice couple and will make great parents! ❤️ I liked hearing about Texas - I went to Austin a few years back, and think I changed planes at Houston! 😀👍🏼
YEEHAWWWWWW :) You'll miss a beautiful spring in Nederland though but ENJOY your stay cowboy :) BEAUTIFUL FARMHOUSE BY THE WAY. And the tree is a beautiful symbol..
That is an amazing property your family has in Texas, so big and so very beautiful and peaceful, just wow! And such a beautiful place for a very special tree. Take care!
@@TAndTGoDutch It really look a good environment to live in, I'm wondering why you choose to go to the Netherlands and leave this behind. Ok, me, I don't see myself moving to the US because work ethics and politics.
I am very jealous that you got to visit home! Thanks so much for that peek of living back in the states. We do have refrigerated eggs here in Korea, but I was also FLOORED when you showed the ranch dressing section! That is also hard to find over here. That was a wonderful thing about planting that tree as a memorial to the little one. Thank you both for sharing that with us all! I also can't wait to visit Minnesota and reconnect, even for a short while. Oh, reverse culture shock really is wild!!!
We hope you get to visit Minnesota soon! Yes, the options for everything were so overwhelming, it's nice being back and seeing only a few. We appreciate your continued support of our channel, thank you so much!
Great content guys! I was born and raised in the south netherlands (Noord-Brabant). Still planning to visit the USA, including Texas. Any tips for visiting Texas? 😀
Where are you visiting in Texas? Eat as much Tex-Mex (particularly queso) and Texas bbq as possible. If you can, visit the hill country. Tons of wineries and beautiful scenery. Bring your patience (traffic is horrible in major cities.)
Hello, I am from Texas. I live in the NL and married a Dutchie. For the best places, food, music and people go to Austin, San Antonio and Fort Worth. You must eat a steak while there. Make sure you have plenty of fuel in your car. You dont want to be pumping gas late at night in an area you are not familiar with. Have fun!
I definately like the story telling... You are nice guys :-) Nice fire place indeed. The one thing stereotype I always heard is: " Everything is bigger in Texas" ;-) And I did not expect to see "cold" weather. I thought it was always warm in Texas :-)
Thank you Hans! As far as "Everything bigger in Texas," with some things, it seems that way (like the grocery stores, and the traffic!) The cooler temperatures took us by surprise as well, it was warmer in Leiden while we were away!
It's definitely a hard place to leave, but we were so ready to come back to The Netherlands by the end of our trip. Thank you so much for your kind words and for watching!
You probably were wearing cowboy boots as often as I have worn wooden shoes... In fact, I can only remember one occasion when we were visiting a farm when we were children.
Home sweet Home! It must feel so good to see family and friends again! Have a good time, but I sure hope your weather will improve, because ours it quite nice at the moment (lots of sunshine!) 😘 🇺🇸🇳🇱
It was so nice, but we are so happy to be back in to our routine in The Netherlands. We had such a nice stretch of sunny weather after we came back, absolutely beautiful. We appreciate you watching, thank you!
Hello! I bought it for Travis about a year ago, on the official NASA store, shopnasa.com. I don't think they have that particular style anymore, but they have similar ones! Thank you so much for watching, we appreciate you!
Well looks like everything is bigger in TX. i would be overwhelmed to shop in a grocery store that big. i prefer the Dutch model instead. I live in AZ.
Of course the novelty of driving has worn off. You are Texas, the highways and bi-ways leave a lot to be desired, with construction, traffic and drivers who think they own the road. But it is also my home, and like other Houstonians and Texans, we suck it up and mosey on down the road.
nice family property, so it's your grand parents house, and your parents live there now? Or did I get that wrong? So does your family plan on keeping it? Like a brother or a sister (don't know if you have any) will move in there later, or keep it as a holiday place for the family? I think it's really nice to have a place like that, my family from my mothers side has something like it as well. The old cow barn of the farm where my grandfather grew up (it's also 100+ years old) has been changed to a banquet hall (no idea if it's the right word to use tbh had to google translate it 😜). So each year we have a couple of family events there, and they are huge. My grandfather had 4 brothers and 10 sisters, so when the entire family comes over we have around 130 - 150 people over there. Now my grandfathers oldest sister still lives there and takes care of the place, but she's getting really old, and I've heard my parents talk about my family plans on selling it when she dies. I understand they're decision for it but I also find it sad, I have so many memory's there. So I hope your family keeps it as long as possible 😊 also, sorry for your loss. I really like the idea of the tree to keep the memory alive. wish you the best with getting children
Thank you! It's been in the family since the 1940's, and before that, Travis' great grandparents actually lived in a tent on the property. It's mostly used as a holiday getaway property, and the family has no intention of letting it go. That's a lovely story about your family's cow barn-i'm sure it would be very difficult to let that go. Thank you for your condolences, it just felt right planting something that could grow.
Awesome!.....I'm always interested to see what's happening on the other side of the Atlantic.😀😉,.....I'm really sorry to hear about, you know what .....but I just hope you'll have a Great time overthere anyway.🙂👌.....I liked this Up-load alot.

Thanks! It’s not the same, unfortunately. We’ve since learned how to make it from scratch.

We have both kinds of music here: country and western.

Thanks for the quick response.
Of course!
Just curious... do you have a favourite butcher in Leiden?
Yes! We love Slagerij Van der Vooren on Doezastraat.
@@TAndTGoDutch Lots of nice shops over there. Like the bakery across for some real sourdough bread.
Forget rap "music" , Texas had Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughan and still has ZZ Top.
