Great video Mark, always appreciate you bringing things to my attention. I know that there's a bunch of repeats in both this and the Women of Marvel box, but I'm really considering a box or two of each.
I clapped at around 6:28 - Nadia! Such a lovely surprise. Stature was quite a nice inclusion too. This seemed a better set than the Women of Marvel one you opened recently. I suspect duplicates are harder to avoid with the packs being double-packed, but you seemed to get off quite lightly with that this time - and two numbered cards! Nice! It looks like it would be a good beginner set to start, as it's $60(?) for 12pks rather than being one of the $2-300 boxes you sometimes have. Much cheaper to try get a base set.
Yeah this is a good entry level set, $50 seems like a fair price to me. Good for people that want to rip a box but don't want to break the bank. Or to look for a cheap base set on eBay. Good call on Wasp, the card does indeed feature Nadia!
Yes thank you I had to buy this & put up some videos it felt so weird buying marvel cards without your review. Upper deck had to drop all their sets at once before tge license expires. Companies what are you doing out there send this dude early access for review. He's Mark & he collects things & he's doing a way better job at selling your products than you are get this dude some free cards early we don't even know these products exist.
Sadly I don't think so, but maybe you will have better luck than I did. You receive enough card to in theory, but the collation is bad in the ones I opened. I opened 5 boxes of Women of Marvel and still didn't get a complete base set. I did end up with 4 or 5 Battle Time sets but not a complete 1-75 set.
I will be happy when Topps takes over. Upper Deck is not the power house they used to be. I like the different price points, but their sets have become oversaturated with what I can only describe as money grab sets. If they had more time, I'm sure we would see a "Furniture of X-Mansion" set.
@@omegainvestments2345 I am not some super collector. I am just under the belief, having seen Upper Deck release 100 sets in a year, that maybe 3-4 good sets with wide range of characters would be ideal. A chrome set(value price), a mid tier set, and a premium set I would be happy with. And have numbered cards no greater than of /299. Idk its just an idea. Doesn't feel very good deal if your hit out of a box is a squirrel girl out of /1499.
If holding for financial value always better sealed. I don't have the discipline to keep any Marvel sealed, but if I were to I would look at sets that have qualities like original art or highly sought after chase cards. Not financial advice😆
@ ok ok make sense…so what is a good set to invest in in your opinion? Not to familiar with marvel cards I only invest in Pokémon but looking to invest in some marvel… I seen a new marvel masterpieces set is coming out soon would that be a good set to invest in in your opinion?
@@PokeTroy1 I'm hesitant to make any kind of investment recommendations, and don't do any sealed speculating for Marvel. Mainly because I want to open it! I do stash some TCG product boxes but mostly I just collect stuff.
I heard the same thing from the Nahuel Grego interviews (which are great). Venom being left out is quite a surprise. I'm wondering if there is at least a different symbiote in the set.
thanks for this!
def like the cheaper price points
I really like the Battle Time cards. I had two boxes and did get a good number of duplicates as well but overall, not bad for the price point!

That's a pretty cool little set.

@icollectthings are you going to be opening a box of the Upper Deck Sscret Wars set!? I’m really curious to see your thoughts on it!!
I don't currently plan on opening one, but I may pick some up in the future if prices drop. There is a deluge UD sets right now!
@icollectthings yes for sure!! It’s $100 bucks on DA card world. Maybe I’ll just pick one up. I’ll let you know! lol
With that amount of base cards, you think 3 boxes of each Avengers and Women of Marvel is enough to complete their respective base sets?
Sadly I don't think so, but maybe you will have better luck than I did.

I want to disagree but I kind of agree but I think this will be 100x worse with Topps

It's going to be 100 x worst with Topps. Check out the sports card and breaker communities. 99 resellers to 1 actual collector
If your investing for long term is it better to keep this set sealed or open it?
If holding for financial value always better sealed. I don't have the discipline to keep any Marvel sealed, but if I were to I would look at sets that have qualities like original art or highly sought after chase cards. Not financial advice😆

There are zero boxes worth investing in imo. Sealed product isn't the same as it used to be. Youre better off opening and buying singles.

Great video as always. Also it sounds like (hope I am wrong) Deadpool and venom might not be in 24 masterpieces. Thoughts?

the art style is not good compared to my old cards from 94.
