I'm glad Dave is here with us, and is a fantastic musician. I'm glad his band is kick ass, more music for us to appreciate. He very well could have been a casualty, thank God he made the right decisions. God bless you Dave, thank you for being here with us. 😎
I think this is the first time I've heard anyone publicly criticize all the bands who couldn't play a solo if their lives depended on it. That's something I've felt, for some time, has been missing from metal for at least a decade. THANK YOU DAVE!
It's like Alice Cooper said. "He (Dave) went from being a skinny, obnoxious punk, to a really centered intelligent person. The dude's been reborn." Dave is such a great person! The bullshit between him and Metallica is over, he's still alive, writing INTENSE music, and now he's finding ways to give back to the fans. If only every kick-ass musician were like him. The world would be SO much better
Dave is a business minded band LEADER and built Megadeth from the ground up by himself if you can't respect that something is wrong with your perspective on life, music, and success. You can be great at an instrument, singing, and songwriting that's great but in order to achieve that type of success you have to be smart, be an asshole to the wrong people, be an ally to the right people, know your limits, and do whatever it takes to break through to the other side and continually reimagine your image, your music, and what your fans wanna pay money to come see and hear. It's truly remarkable. Dave Mustaine could take a band, any band and tell them exactly what they need to do to get better in some way. Tremendous amount of respect for him for being as real as it gets in interviews too. He's not gonna not say something in fear of upsetting someone or someone not liking it. Always a damn good interview.
Tbh, it would be fucking awesome to get a phonecall from Dave :) He still was like us when he was younger, a fan of some other guitar player (Angus & Page as his examples)

So much talent out there yet 1 out of 100 guitar players/musicians will actually sit down and CREATE their own songs. I've seen great guitar players do covers of their fav. bands yet don't have their own original creations. Instead of learning other bands' songs.. CREATE.. @Megadethmegadethfan1 Dave does contiunue to write and play guitar very well. He knows how to surround himself with top notch musicians too. He has done that from day one of Megadeth. Jimi Hendrix wrote great songs until his death. Listen to Valleys of Neptune that is an incredible album.

These days people shred for the sake of shredding, replacing emotion with pure speed and crazy techniques. Those who can incorporate both are the genius's(im thinking Zakk).
I really suck at playing guitar but I'd go into a class where Dave teaches. When a metal god like him offers you to impart his knowledges, one would be really stupid not to listen.

@gothicgarden2006 Not every band has to pretend to be gods though. Trash metal was always about being down to earth and being one with your fans. That's why it became so appealing when all people had was some classic rock and glam rock artists who were treated like demigods.
I love Metallica's first 4 albums, but there's one reason why Slayer and Megadeth are always gonna beat them when it comes to loyalty of the fans. They're a lot more consistent in what they play. When you buy a Slayer album you know you're gonna hear Slayer.

One of the small reasons Megadeth is my favorite band and Metallica is 3rd is because Metallica's website kinda sucks and they never update their fans on anything.
