As an M6 it discouraged me when answering A 2m cq to be told by an old boy" you're an M6 and obviously don't know what you're doing"..I heard him while on a local club net..didn't know how to log qsos on a laptop..was very tempted..but didn't!!!
Also hearing a qso between2 full licence holders about water down of licencing "I did mine at Bletchly Park,morse should be essential". Yup they're still out there..ignore them...it's a Hobby!!!
Nothing wrong with any M6s or M7s they are more than welcome in my book, but when you get stupid remarks from some full license holders and nothing is said or done by the clubs how can you expect the new operators to stay. I`m in Essex.

I had a terrible few sessions pre Christmas with one chap being quite abusive to me as I was an M7 and had no right - told me to shut up, even though the channel was quiet for a long time as I plucked up the courage to call CQ. The second session was similarly depressing as I was shoved out of a QSO, even though we had moved to another channel to keep the main clear. I said he was quite rude and the response was "you're not good enough and I want to speak to xxxxxx anyway, *go away*" (insert words that are not appropriate to post). Third session was similarly fruitless as the chap from the local club had picked my QSO up and we were stalked to another channel. Before he could get into selling the local club this lovely person decided to give me a load of grief as I didn't call the report properly. Feel like I wasted a lot of money and is not as friendly as first seems.
It's ok but it's like anything in life you get your good and bad. You just need to learn where to go.
