If you're worried about possibly punching your drywall through with the .screwdriver punch technique , another technique for molly nuts is a diamond metal-cutting drill bit *slightly* larger than the screw opening. Simply place the bit on the opening and cut into the head. There are four contact points where the outer mount wings are attached to the screw shaft. The bit will chew through them. Once that happens the outer mount wings are detached and you can simply tap the nut into the wall and let i fall. The wings will either fall off or can be popped off with a chisel or flat-blade screwdriver. It is obviously important you use a sharp bit. Best of luck everyone!
simple way to remove a molly... unless you have thin plaster board, havent tried this but maybe you can use an oversized drill just like you do for removing the flange of a pop rivet.... as they are from the same family / manufacturer of products this may work
No pretty solution here. I haven't done it this way but my suggestion would be to take a X-Acto knife in and dig around the perimeter of it and then punch it into the wall.
The tip about hammering a large screwdriver into a molly bolt anchor is pure genius, thanks.
Very informational and helpful. I have all three types to remove! And appreciate the *one-stop shopping*.
This is exactly what I was looking for! I have those cheap plastic anchors in my wall and know I know how to remove them!
Great common sense answer to an issue I was having. Thanks for the video.

Very helpful info BUT my problem is that the original screws are still in the plug with head grinded off so impossible to do hammer trick
