So I’m from India, and was born and brought up in one of the most hot and humid cities of the country. I have never experienced snow, let alone walked on a frozen lake. I don’t know shit about fishing. I didn’t even know such a thing as ice fishing even existed.
..but man I love watching your videos. There’s just something about these videos that makes my day better, makes me realise there’s so much more out there that I haven’t seen, experienced, so many wonderful people I haven’t met.

I just started watching mavs videos and I gotta stop in and say how much I appreciate this one simple thing that also makes him a UA-cam genius in my eyes. Every time you hit play on a video it plays, no commercials to start the video ever. Of course there are ads during the video as there should be but its a great way to really show appreciation to your subscribers.

I've always wanted to try ice fishing but my dad wasn't an ice fisherman. My dad and later in life, a friend of mine, were the ones who taught me a little about fishing. I did do some trial and error on my own though during summer and fall months. Ice fishing is on my bucket list though. Seems to me fish fresh out of an icy cold lake would taste amazing.

I love watching your cold weather outdoor exploits as I sit indoors freezing my arse off when it’s 40F outside! 🤣 My dad and his side of our family are from Duluth and he was an avid outdoorsman but didn’t pass much of it on to my brother and I growing up in St. Louis. Order yourself some French MREs off ebay. I am partial to the 24 hour ones. They come with Muesli and two mains. You can get duck in the mains and also deer pate. They also have seafood ones like tuna and potato. They are pretty close to the best MRE's if not the best!

FYI Air down your tires if you get stuck in snow. When we off-road in the winter, we run 12-15 psi on the trails. It helps. You can always refill the tires once you hit the main road.

Wow this takes me back. Seeing you catch the sunfish. I used to fish off of my grandparents dock in Maple Lake, MN. It was the middle of summer and zero to do except fishing for sunfish and bullheads. ( YUCK) . I hated cleaning them even more. The snow and ice would NOT be a bonus. I enjoy watching you from a sunny state under a blanket.
