very impressed that buzz didn't decide to blow them out for him! I know lots of older siblings cant resist the satisfaction of blowing out the candles on a little sibling's cake
That moment when Carrie's killing it at life and your sat on your bedroom floor nearly in tears at 18 because you've messed everything up....again and Carrie makes a video that just makes things a little bit better for a few minutes x
My history teacher always taught us to how remember the difference between suffragists and suffragettes because suffragettes have 'rage' in their name so they were the violent ones aha
When u said happy Valentine’s Day to the taxi driver I thought that was very sweet and when u were playing the piano and singing that was amazing Carrie
I work at the museum of london and because of uni I haven't had a chance to get my training for the exhibition yet!! I can't wait till I get the chance to work the exhibition every day! I'm so glad you had a great time, I'm so excited for when I get to see it properly for the first time
I miss your three cheers for New Years!! We were spoiled with a video a day for a month and now that you’ve gone back to your regular schedule, I feel like you’ve gone on hiatus or something 😂
I was watching this after having a brief yet treacherous depressive episode and it made me feel much better! I love your videos, Carrie! They calm me down when I'm stressed and make me happy when I'm feeling down! xx ❤️
This made me unexpectedly cry, that song on the piano in the middle my flat mate used to play on her piano that when we lived together when we were at Uni.
AHHH I love Dita eyewear!! I own a pair of their glasses and they are so lovely on the face.... their men's range is actually really beautiful as well as most of them are unisex!
As someone who loves photography and is going to uni in September to study it, I'm literally so excited for the photoshoot vlog and the album photos hahaha
‘I was just stopped in the middle of the street by a guy who told me he thought I looked adorable in my orange coat. Told me his name was James - James, happy Valentine’s Day, thank you very much but I have to get to a meeting.’ 😂😂😂😂
Thank you for sharing a bit of important history to a new generation. Love when you show us about a bit as I am not from England and love to see some of another country.
Did you know that the term ‘Suffragette’ was actually invented as a derogatory term by the Daily Mail, when they were discussing the acts of members of the Women’s Social and Political Union. The WSPU reclaimed the word and used it as a badge of honour 💜💚
I recently learned about the woman who "threw herself in front of the kings horse" and she didn't exactly threw herself in front of the horse. She probably wanted to attach a scarf with "votes for women" to the riders sadle or feet and she most likely highly underestimated the speed a horse in such a race has. She then sadly got run over. I saw a little snippet of the show on a BBC facebook vid and, as i am dutch, i couldnt find it again but it was really interesting!
I love how when I haven't played piano in a few days it's like my hands have forgotten how to play and you can just crack out the really beautiful stuff 😂 Also love how Buddy is like "what on earth is going on" with the cake situation
I haven’t seen your vlogs in a while (mostly because i have been busy with school/work), but then you play my favorite song on the piano ♥️♥️ love you!
The thing with the suffragettes as well though is that they were very exclusive - they only supported white middle-to-upper class women having the vote and excluded other women (and all men) from the wspu. The suffragists were far more inclusive and their mindset was before their time as they also supported universal voting right fore men. I didn't want to disregard the suffragettes but there are more issues with them besides violence. Xx
Went to the Suffragette exhibition earlier this week- so good! I would say, although I don't condone violence ether, the suffragettes only ever targeted property not people. That tends to get forgotten because of how they were portrayed at the time!
I learnt about the Suffragists and Suffragettes at school so I knew the difference between them, and it’s really interesting to compare them. The exhibition sounds so interesting!
Woah. It suddenly just hit me how throughout school I never got the chance to learn about the amazing history of women. I know a lot of history is predominately focused on the huge events like the war, but I don’t remember ever being taught about the sacrifices and amazing moments created by women. That sort of sucks!! 😩
someone back when Twilight was popular made a video with written lyrics to that Yurima song and still i'll recognise the song and some of the lyrics will pop into my head aka help me D:
Lovely video Carrie! Have you seen the film "Iron Jawed Angels"? It's a GORGEOUS film about the suffragist movement, and it will shake you to your core. Give it a watch if you can! It's life changing!
Kitty Marion story was fascinating, this is why I love history, and its even better if it's amusing, to quote horrible histories "its funny cos its true" ;)
For anyone interested in the suffragette part of the video- there’s a podcast called the Guilty Feminist that I’d really recommend you checking out! They’ve got a few episodes at the moment specifically around the 100 year anniversary of votes for women, and they’re super interesting :)
Can you do another hair routine, now that your hair is long, again? I love love love how it always looks and as a fellow wavy-headed-girl I aspire to look like that!
That was the most in tune birthday song I've ever heard
Kayla Moore that harmony though 😂
What about the Addam's family cast's birthday songs? They are incredible! :D
very impressed that buzz didn't decide to blow them out for him! I know lots of older siblings cant resist the satisfaction of blowing out the candles on a little sibling's cake
i find it so rude when kids do that, like stop you're stealing part of the birthday wish!!
and covering the cake in more spit than is acceptable
Julia S I
The first round glasses look absolutely gorgeous on you xx
Absolutely!!
I agree!
Agreed!!!
I just got through Buddy's birthday part and gosh, he resembles Carrie a lot xxx
DownTheRabbitHollow Yes! I can see a lot of Gi in him, but he just looks overall like a tiny Carrie, especially those adorable curls.
He does but he also looks like Gi! Definitely a Fletcher though! x
That moment when Carrie's killing it at life and your sat on your bedroom floor nearly in tears at 18 because you've messed everything up....again and Carrie makes a video that just makes things a little bit better for a few minutes x
So true XD
oh god this is me right now knowing half term finishes tomorrow and I have so much alevel work uncompleted
Things will get better
I'm 19 and I have no GCSEs, no A levels and no degree. I feel like I have no skills and I hate myself. How can 19 feel like my full potential?
Annie Every stay positive and you are still young and you never know what’s around the corner. Things might seem hard now but they will get better.
As if i screamed YAY when buddy finally managed to blow out the candles like i was in the room with them
My history teacher always taught us to how remember the difference between suffragists and suffragettes because suffragettes have 'rage' in their name so they were the violent ones aha
When u said happy Valentine’s Day to the taxi driver I thought that was very sweet and when u were playing the piano and singing that was amazing Carrie
That flowery dress is gooooorgeeeeoouuussssss
My family can't even sing Happy Birthday in the same key, and you guys harmonize. Incredible
With a name and story like that, Kitty Marion deserves her own musical. Damn that'd be a great show!
"Not played piano in ages" - Starts with Clair de Lune :O
Amazing Carrie - in awe of your skills
I work at the museum of london and because of uni I haven't had a chance to get my training for the exhibition yet!! I can't wait till I get the chance to work the exhibition every day! I'm so glad you had a great time, I'm so excited for when I get to see it properly for the first time
Rachel H It's on until the 6th January 2019 :D
Rachel H I definitely recommend it! I haven't seen it yet but everyone I know from the museum seems to love it :)
That was the most melodic singing of Happy Birthday i have ever heard
The bit from Buddy's birthday was too cute 💕 bless him. And everything you said about the Suffragette movement was so interesting
I love River Flows in You!! It's such a beautiful song
They even manage to sing Happy Birthday in perfect tune and with an amazing harmony!
Buddy's cake was so cute!!
I miss your three cheers for New Years!! We were spoiled with a video a day for a month and now that you’ve gone back to your regular schedule, I feel like you’ve gone on hiatus or something 😂
2 years later and there has been 150 videos 1 everyday haha
I think that was possibly the most beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday I have ever heard
I have the same feeling about London. I get to visit a couple of times a month and every time I fall in love with it
i am loving the style of these videos, vlog at the start and a more chatty sit down talk at the end
I was watching this after having a brief yet treacherous depressive episode and it made me feel much better! I love your videos, Carrie! They calm me down when I'm stressed and make me happy when I'm feeling down! xx ❤️
Oh my god, I love the second pair of glasses you tried on!!!
I want to see the suffragette exhibition! It sounds incredible.
This made me unexpectedly cry, that song on the piano in the middle my flat mate used to play on her piano that when we lived together when we were at Uni.
You played the river flows so beautifully! I love it so much
AHHH I love Dita eyewear!! I own a pair of their glasses and they are so lovely on the face.... their men's range is actually really beautiful as well as most of them are unisex!

The Suffragettes didn't have balls, they had uterus and that's as powerful as!
that was the most harmonic "Happy Birthday" I have ever witnessed
Definitely need to check the suffragette's exhibition!!! (And HAPPY BIRTHDAY Buddy!!!)
Thank you for sharing a bit of important history to a new generation. Love when you show us about a bit as I am not from England and love to see some of another country.

Lucy Gittons wow, the Daily Mail did something useful
Literally of course it was the daily mail lol
I absolutely loved Buddy's birthday cake!
I saw Black Panther on Valentine’s Day. It was a good day. I choose to love myself and treat myself lol
Xk8rsx same! Loved it so much, my friend said it's her new favorite superhero movie. (Choosing from both marvel and dc)
those round gold frames are BEAUTIFUL
River Flows in You is one of the few songs I can play on the piano! Lovely x
Wow never heard happy birthday sung so beautifully
My Valentine's day was boring I was alone at home . Watching your videos . It made me happy . It was a wonderful Valentine this year . ♥️♥️♥️
The song you are playing on the Piano is one of my all time favourite instrumentals, and you played it soooo well🖤
I recently learned about the woman who "threw herself in front of the kings horse" and she didn't exactly threw herself in front of the horse. She probably wanted to attach a scarf with "votes for women" to the riders sadle or feet and she most likely highly underestimated the speed a horse in such a race has. She then sadly got run over.

I haven't heard River flows in You in forever! thank you for reminding me about it!

Carrie: Tries on various glasses
Me: WHAT ALL OF THESE LOOK GREAT ON HER :o
Glad you had a good one! Shows we don't need romantic love to have a day filled with fun and love!
I haven’t seen your vlogs in a while (mostly because i have been busy with school/work), but then you play my favorite song on the piano ♥️♥️ love you!
OMG Buddy is adorable!!! He looks just like you!
Emily Davison went to our uni, something which we are incredibly proud of. We have just named our new library after her!
Queenie245 what uni is that? That's so cool 😁

I’m also at RHUL!
It’s so nice to see you playing different instruments

Your clips and talking about London is making me miss being there so much! 😭
River flows in you was part of my wedding music! You play beautifully!
Love this video! Reminded me of time studying abroad in London last year. It was so great to meet you at your book signing! xx Carrie Love

The first pair of round glasses looked amazing on you!❤️
OMG I’M CURRENTLY LEARNING RIVER FLOWS IN YOU!!!
Btw I agree with James and your dress is beautiful
I am definitely entering! Thank you for informing me about this Carrie! Love you x
When you come to the realisation at the age of 20 that you are in no way suitable for any award with 'young' in the title anymore :(
Hannah Tudor I just had this exact realisation and I'm borderline planning my retirement right now
literally me

I learnt about the Suffragists and Suffragettes at school so I knew the difference between them, and it’s really interesting to compare them. The exhibition sounds so interesting!

Carrie I love your videos and I am watching with a G&T... what a perfect Sunday 💗😊🍸
Kitty Marion story was fascinating, this is why I love history, and its even better if it's amusing, to quote horrible histories "its funny cos its true" ;)
Carrie! Loved this video and these new glasses are lovely but where did you get the ones you usually wear? They are perfect on you!
*I Love You So Much Carrie*
yay!! Isle of man :D :D :D :D
I'm always happy when here it mentioned anywhere
For anyone interested in the suffragette part of the video- there’s a podcast called the Guilty Feminist that I’d really recommend you checking out! They’ve got a few episodes at the moment specifically around the 100 year anniversary of votes for women, and they’re super interesting :)

Nothing has changed! I still do my hair in exactly the same way! :) xxx

A family full of singers of course can sing happy birthday in perfect harmony, when the rest of us sound like dying donkeys lol. You're perfect
I wish I had a busy Valentine's Day
Quite happy you know Yiruma 💙
Oh God the Les Mis signs! The nostalgia. It feels like it was only yesterday.
God you have such a good face for glasses.
