At the time the world was released, it came after Dark Ages instead of before, so players would already have Fume-Shroom unlocked. Although the reason is no deeper than that, I’d like to add that the Fume-Shroom can be upgraded to an icy variant in PvZ: Social Edition. So it’s likely that Fume-Shroom is simply exceptionally tolerant to cold weather.
I at first thought that the blockhead zombie took more damage to fire plants and melted when around them. After hearing that they weren't I got extremely disappointed.
When I first saw the blockhead, I was hoping it’d be that you would use your hot potato on it, melting the helmet and giving the Hot Potato some combat use. Oh well.
10:30 I… like Rotobaga. She’s actually a decent fighter (better than Starfruit) that can deal with other lanes pretty well and is excellent in slider levels. She’s also relatively cheap and has the ability to be planted over water, making her essential in BWB levels.

What a coincidence, i'm attempting the same challenge as yours! As someone who went throught most of these levels, i can safely say that Day 12 is possible without the help of premium plants. To explain the strategy, i'll use coordinates to explain the placement of the plants: each column represents a number from 1 to 9, each lane a letter from A to E. The top-left corner is coordinate 1A, the bottom-right one 9E I placed a pair of Wall-nuts on 6B and 6D. Between them i put two Bonk Choys (5/7B and 5/7D) to protect them. Except for the Dodo riders, any zombie will be stuck on 6B and 6D while being destroyed by the Bonk Choys. Since there wasn't a plant to protect them from the freezing, i added the Snapdragon on 6C, which is also protected by a Wall-nut on 7C. I forgot about the Dodos overwhelming the Snapdragon, but i luckily rescued it with the remaining sun i didn't spend on. For the rest i placed two Snapdragons on B2 and D2, Bonk Choys on A2 and E2 and Wall-nuts on A3 and E3. 12:39 i dont think snap pea counts beacuse well he can just eat the zombie at basicaly the first columm zombies step and he can shoot zombie heads like a peashooter so thats why i think it doesnt count
Keep the toad stool it’s a shame what happened to the kiwi beast I feel premium and gemium plants should be allowed like the ghost pepper it only attacks when close to zombies, and can’t be eaten only crushed
