It works better if you put the rubber bands on loosely and then put the crotchet needle through....and then tighten the natural hair by pulling it gently.
This is a style easy quick to do at home if you doing it at home for a beginner. They don’t typically last long unless you putting a bonnet or scarf on at night with setting lotion. You did a great job 💖
This tutorial helped me tremendously on my own head. When Pana says you have to twist the hair in the direction it wants to go I felt that. Got to my third twist before I figured out which direction the hair wanted to be twisted in. Thank, Pana! You are amazing!
Breeeee what's wrong??? You seem sad.... I hope your not regretting cutting your hair because you are seriously beautiful either way and you will be so happy when it grows out healthy and strong 👍🏾 Your hair came out really pretty 😍
Something to do for passion twist is you could just buy the already pre-twisted ones and those hold up really well and are super pretty. Last time I used them I had bought 7-8 packs. Hope it helps!! 😊
I just started doing my daughters hair and recently did the passion twist. you are so right it’s frustrating because hair is thick and it doesn’t tuck will with this style. But now I don’t feel bad because everyone is experiencing thing. Love your videos. Thanks for posting
Let me tell you as a stylist I had an issue with these passion twist clients too. Clients need to realize that every hairstyle isn't for them, but for me what I did was I divided their hair & used product to blend the braiding hair and clients hair then twist and the hair stayed inside the braid. IDK if you tried, but it did help me. Your work is beautiful.
Very beautiful style! The twists are so cute.It took you ,no time at all. She's all set,and very happy 😊 now.Keep on making ,all the ladies beautiful!! Go on,with yo bad self, Pana!! God bless 🙌 🙏 ya'll!
I find that if you use the rubber method that you should put the rubber band looser when you part the spots and then when you add the hair pull to tighten the rubber band. This will lessen the feeling of pulling on little hairs. Personally I love the style cause it’s so cute and not as long term as other. Great job❤️
Coming from the mindset of a very tender-headed individual 🤕 Pana, you put me on much game...now it's my turn to contribute to the game if you wanted to do it again with the rubber band method... Before you put the rubber band in... 1.split the box you made in half 2.lay the hair in between the split 3.(if needed, have the client hold the hair in place at the ends) gather the real hair around the extensions to put the rubber band in like normal. I am all for having a client/friend/fam holding hair. This will save them from pain just like holding the hair while braiding/twisting 👀 I hope that you give it another shot.
I use the crochet method like this wen doing my box braids && just a tip, to stop it from hurting don't make the rubberband as tight. Slide the hair under it while its a little looser && then after its under it u can wrap the rubberband around more avoiding the synthetic hair and then tighten it. Kinda hard to explain but i tried my best😂 super cute tho!☺️😍
i know i'm 8 months late lmao but when i use rubber band menthods, i oil the rubber bands first.. idk if it actually helps anything but it makes me feel more confident about them not damaging my hair. i have tea tree oil mixed w jamaican castor oil & i just submerge the rubberbands in it
Cutting their hair taking out the twist? I can't handle that mentally again. I cut my hair down to the root taking out crochet locs 2 years ago. A 2inch wide from the top of my head down to the nape.
I understand wut she mean. Wen taking the crochet needle under the rubber band or under the braid do feel like the hair is tugging from the scalp. It hurts me a little. I stopped getting crochets unless I do them myself.
I ALWAYS wind up loosening up my bands 😩 I love how NEAT it looks (when the band is "tight or close to base of parting) But the PAIN and possible tension alopecia that it comes with is NOT WORTH IT! 🤕 My hairline can NOT TAKE ANY TENSION.. I'll have itching, bumps, and hair loss EVERY TIME. You did a great job! Very neat! When I take my Bantu knots out I'll be doing this method.
OMG Bray you did an amazing job of Bre’s spring twists Boo! They look amazing on her! Hopefully the rubber bands will help with any slippage! Great video! Loving the big chop on Bree but love the twist as well. I had passion twist and within 2 weeks my ends were slipping out of the twist, so I definitely know what you mean.
I just wanna say those parts were so satisfying I was literally glued to my tv the whole video and not many yt can keep me off my phone the whole video not even my favs😭❤️❤️ you’re definitely getting a subscribe from me
Thank you so much for this video! I absolutely love the Rubber Band Method since I can't cornrow to save my life. My only issue with it is that the rubber bands tend to stick out no matter what I do. I don't know what I'm doing wrong so I just stopped.
Instead of putting the crochet needle in sideways, I saw one lady insert it from the bottom to top. Even try diagonally depending how you start the twist off. It completely concealed the rubber band from what I saw.
Your parting is everything !! Is there any way by chance you can make a detailed video about parting. All kinds too and how many parts depending on size. ❤️
I love how you do hair. Those passion twists I really love how you did them. Wish you could do my hair like that one day. Love u and keep styling my lady...
These turned out bomb!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💗 You are speaking all #FACTS!!! I only offer the rubber band method now...if they don't want rubber bands, then I refuse the service! It's beyond annoying to do these any other way😫🤯
nice do lets hope it lasts and Bre looks cute as always. Gald to see she is feeling better and not still not feeling well. Yall stay safe and sanitized
So ik I’m late to this video but if most of your clients don’t mind you can try using Afro twisting hair not only does natural hair blend in more but you on need one pack of the bundle of three and where I live it’s 8 or 9 dollars they look really cute and you can still use crochet
You can do what I do Once you put the ponytail in section two parts then 2strand twist the natural hair that way it wouldn't poke out. If that make sense
I love how she parts the hair with the gel in her videos it’s so satisfying
yesssss I love that part too lol
Liixxy it really is tho
i thought i was the only one 😭
@@Dopeaxxxpana what gel do you use?

Right
I just said the same thing b4 seeing your comment
That’s what I was thinking
If you do that it'll defeat the purpose of using the crochet, when you can simply pull it through with your hand
That's exactly what I do
I completely agree! I tried to warn my clients about them too. These came out really cute tho!

Yesssss thank you for braiding her natural hair in its natural state!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾braiders now a days only want to braid hair if blow dryed out.
What difference does that make when she put 5lbs of gel on each part?? They're both smoothing techniques.
S. P. no heat damage maybe? lmaoo delete your comment

@Lavender thank u
Close the hook part when inserting it into her hair that’s why it’s probably hurting! I do crochet method all the time and it never hurts me!

Choclate Dimplz 😂😂 we’re watching a show
I felt that she was sad 2
She did seem a little sad but she has a great texture of hair ...💗
Aww that was nice of you to say that ❤..
I thought I was the only one who felt like sliding the crochet hook was painful. But nonetheless, Pana slayed another style 😍😍
Everybody talking about bre lookin sad , that’s how I look when I’m getting my hair done 😂💀.
right, ready to be done.
@Jade Hudson it does?? They’re always soft and easy

they are super cute! i usually braid mine a couple rows then start twisting & they don't fall out as easily for me that way!

That’s common sense lol
your client's skin is so beautifu. Your work is so clean and beautiful.
If the hair pokes out try taking edge gel and rubbing the section of hair with it then twist that works perfectly for me
You know what? I love you and Bre's energy. Y'all two are hilarious!
“No Pain, No Gain”
Female beauty motto 🙌🏽
When I do mines I leave my hair loose until I pull the hair through & then pull the hair down to make to ponytail part more secure

Destiny Kittler I know what you mean. Make the rubber loose initially, pull then tighten the rubber band after you pull the crochet hair thru.
Exactly. No hairstyle is worth any amount of pain. I had to learn this the hard way also.
Also, oil the rubber bands before. No friction at all to put in or take out.
I love on how you do hair. I watch you all the time and learned on how to do my own hair❤️ thank you!
I do my hair like this all the time and it might last 4 weeks . If I can stretch it maybe 6 weeks
Love my hair like this so simple and doesn't hurt your head
Im trying to figure out why I had breakage everywhere when I tried it. I had for about 2 weeks. Idk what I did wrong
kay if you saturate the rubber bands in oil it prevents breakage ❤️
