I visited to Pulau Payar in my student days 30 yrs ago, I couldn't believe my eyes as we first approached the island, I felt like i was in paradise. I never expected such island with breathtakingly turquoise water and amazingly rich marine life existed in the western shore of peninsular Malaysia. The soft coral there was richly pristined. From your video I can see tourists are feeding fishes, corals are mostly bleached and the water is getting cloudy. I hope the relevant department can do more to preserve and conserve the natural beauty and diversity of the marine park. Tourism is important but should be done in a more sustainable way. To me, Pulau Payar remains as one of the most beautiful place on earth in my memory.
