I feel that is why they fired Jed and brought in Meghan. So they have someone to "fight" with. I would have rather had Jed who disagrees with them but it was more of a conversation among friends. They chemistry is way off with Meghan
Sadly it’s about ratings. If the ratings aren’t there ,funding does not come in for the show and show gets bye-bye. So on a producers stand point they will do whatever they can to keep the ratings up and advertising dollars coming.
Like all 21 cohosts of The View, I appreciate that I got to hear their perspective & views on the show. I honestly don’t dislike any of the previous or current hosts. They all brought something to each season they were on and that’s what creates a show like The View. So I thank them for their contribution!!
I only watched The View when Candace was on because I loved her naturally kind voice of reason. She always took the high road and is a true example of how a Christian should be.
I've always liked Candance. While I don't agree with many of her views, I think she is a genuinely kind human being. She seems to really live her faith, which I can respect. And she doesn't come off as sanctimonious like her brother, Kirk.
I don't think that's what they were saying... I think they meant they wanted to share their opinion and reasoning behind it without having to argue and try to force it on someone else.
I DO NOT IN ANY WAY AGREE WITH: Elisabeth Hasselback, Jenny McCarthy, Candace Cameron Bure, Jedediah Bila, or Meghan McCain, but they all were willing to have conversations with people who disagree with them which I respect! :)
I liked both Candace and Jenny. I think they were too sweet natured for those mean women though. Jedediah Bila was my favorite. She always had a smile even when disagreeing with the others. Her sense of humor was refreshing and i was sad to see her go.
It's called debating. It's not some nefarious, subversive act. Jesus could be used for better things in life rather than your fear of hearing someone challenge your viewpoint.
I'm all abput sharing my thoughts and yes i like to keep harping on my topics to really make my point across depends what is being said. I'm like candace i want to hear your point etc but i can sit there also to fight my battles.
Candace was the worst choice they could have ever made. She was incapable of stating an opinion without using cue cards, and came across as vapid. She was in over her head, and I am glad that she took some positive vibes from the experience, but am equally glad that she is gone. Meghan is someone I like because she has her own voice. She is bit too thin skinned, but I think that she will evolve in time to debate rather than attack (especially Joy), whom she challenged on her very first day on the show.
Religion is more up her alley. She just annoys me with that 24/7 toothy smile. Nobody is that happy 24 hours a day. I never liked her on that show when she was a kid. And that reboot,forget it.

That is what a producer of a show does. They feed you lines, prod you to the point of agitation and generally stir the pot to make a good show happen.
