This video shows Dave Grohl (and Nirvana too) from beginning to the END. OR at least to what is the "present time" Grohlman's" state of being, here in the 2020's. I do love seeing the old Nirvana footage. Krist Novaselic has ALSO grown a LOT as a person since those early days. He has served in politics either in Seattle, or wherever he had been living, after Nirvana had no longer been a band. And, we can all see here that Kurt had NOT been some "constantly depressed person". He had been quite funny at times. But, I, am NOT going to even say that any of that means that he did not,. or DID commit suicide. My own sister committed suicide. And, she told her husband that she WOULD do it, if she could NOT come home to us. But, he did NOT believe her, and would NOT let her have the credit card to buy a bus or plane ticket. And, so, she did it.
I do think that it is possible that even IF she HAD come home, that eventually, she would have been missing her husband, and wanted to go back to him. I say that because it had happened before. She came home to us, and had eventually felt "like a failure", not being with her husband. Some of our neighbors had been asking her all about her business, and I think THAT may have been contributing to making her feel like she should just go back to her husband. He had negelected her, and treated her badly, BUT, I am NOT going to really blame him for her death. IF NOT for her mental health problems (Bi POLAR and Scizophrenic) she could have DEALT with how he treated her. And, HE had been mentally ill too.
About nearly 2 years ago, he had just shown up to our door. He mostly slept in his car, and used OUR "wi-fi". But, he would also come into our house ( in my mom's room) and would talk to my mom. In HER ROOM. All was fine, UNTIL he started to come in the living room, where I have been sleeping ever since I had been in a car wreck. I was and am still sleeping in the living room, in my recliner chair. And, while I had been watching the TV in the living room, he had eventually come in there, and kept talking to my mom. And, I had to explain that I stay in that room, and when the TV was on, and I had been playing shows that my mom and I want to see, that HE needs to either shut up, or LEAVE.
But, he would just KEEP ON being loud, and THEN, he started to TEASE our dog. This guy had to be MADE to leave. When my sisters body was laying in the morgue, out of the state where we (her family) lived, HE did NOT claim her body, he just would NOT do anything that most husbands would do. Sure, he is mentally ill, BUT, he had been treating her badly for so long when she had been alive. It had been YEARS that we did not hear from him before he had all of a sudden shown up on our door. And, Covid had been in full swing when he did choose to just show up on our door. And, he would travel from town to town, looking for cheap and reduced food items, and bring them to US. And, most of it had been sugary and fattening things. Bakery items mostly, or a bunch of canned beans.
In the END, he had started to bring a tent, and a outside type of bed. And had been with us for OVER 2 months. Had been teasing our dog, hiding his toy, and laughing. And, also doing some odd form of "petting" that had been him smacking the dog quite harshly. And, my mom would NOT say a damn thing to him. Talking over (loudly) tv shows my mom and I had been wanting to watch.
Eventually, I just FLIPPED out. He had clearly been planning on staying at our place MUCH longer than the 2 months that he had already been there.
Years ago, my mom and dad had bought my sister a CAR and a washer and dryer. This had been so that my sisters life would be easier, or more convenient. BUT, that SOB that she married had NOT let her drive the car, claiming that it was NOT SAFE for her to drive. And, he would NOT hook up the washer and dryer for her either. So, she had to lug the laundry to a laundromat.
Sorry that this is NOT about Dave Grohl. I have been drinking some booze tonight. And, so, I have been talking about MY own sisters situation. She had committed suicide back in 2007.
I do love the "Grohlman" though. He has made a REALLY noticeable change in appearance from the days of Nirvana, to the more current days in the "Foo Fighters".
I am really wondering now, IF the Foo Fighters are going to be "No More" since Taylor's death.
I would really NOT BLAME the Foo's IF they would rather end the Foo's, and maybe form a new band. I just hope that the music stays as great as the Foo's music is.
I am pretty sure that MOST people that would see how damn LONG my comment is here, will NOT read it, and IF SO I do understand completely.
If I only had music based on people's personality, attitude, manners, etc. I'd have 2 Foo Fighters records
Dave's story about Taylor Swift and Paul Mc Cartney is funny. The "NO number 2's on the bus" is pretty much a RV or bus with a potty's, standard RULE. SOMEONE HAS to empty that thing!!!
Dave with his MOM is really sweet and entertaining. Sadly, I have heard that Dave's mom has died. Really, I don't mean to sound like a big ole "sappy ass", BUT, Dave had recently lost his mom, and Taylor. So, I do feel bad for Dave. Hopefully, he will be able to be getting to work with some other talented musicians. Perhaps eventually, in a few years Taylor's son.
And, I may be all wrong, BUT, Wolfgang Van Halen seemed to enjoy playing with Dave.
But, I may be unaware of it, and Wolfgang is actually touring in a new lineup of Van Halen?
I am asking this as a question. I do NOT know if maybe the remaining members of Van Halen have reformed the band. I am NOT a fan of Van Halen, as far as the David Lee Roth lineup. But, when it comes to "Sammy Hagar" Van Halen, I do LIKE some songs.
Now, at the end of this video, there is talk about a song, and fans ending up throwing some "candy" or "mints" at the stage when that song had been played. Even after about 10 years of the band NOT playing that song. And, I have watched this video where it has supposedly
mentioned that song, and I could NOT hear the song name. Much of the words are in spanish, so, I am having a hard time figuring out the problem.
The last couple of minutes of this video are sweet and funny. Dave and Taylor talking about Christopher Walkin pronouncing the bands name before they had played live on either "Saturday Night Live", or another show.
Seeing THAT, you just can't help but realize that Dave had basically lost "a brother". Taylor had really been Dave's brother from another mother.
