50 Years exactly, and it's all so relevant, precise and shows nothing has changed - it's all just the same story.
Your comment is exactly correct. “From time immemorial, however, the Jews have known better than any others how falsehood and calumny[character defamation] can be exploited”
It's the same old jee had the Muslims have been doing since 1929.
This is something that a person who does not understand the conflict would say
Mu s lims still destruktiv
Peace needs justice for the 6,000,000 Palistinian Refugees
I truly love this lady, how practical and honest this great leader is💙🤍💙
Great piece of history - would love more 50s-60s-70s uploads
Each word she has spoken is so well chosen to convey the view of Israel
Very crafty. Imagine the spokesperson of Hamas saying the same things as her.
@@yusefkhan1752 It takes 1,000 Muslim brain = 1 Jewish brain.
or it could be just her opinions, but i guess people like you are to tribal to see that.
The spokesperson for Hamas would not be compelled by virtue of ideology or theology to say these exact words. And of course it’s an opinion. It’s a subjective view that has as much to do with tribalism as the response to the opinion. It’s all essentially tribal. Subjectivity necessarily is related to tribalism or perspective. This is inescapable but not de facto uninformed or evil. Being pro Palestinian or pro Israeli is likely related to tribal viewpoint and interpretation of the same essential morality we mostly all ascribe to.
He would not say the same words because he is not trying to manipulate lie or steal from anyone. A lot of the Zionist arguments are the same as Hitlers arguments. @@Bluechefsteam
" i know that one must not judge the attitude of the one who ask the question, but i dont believe that is what you meant." And she said it with a chuckle. She wasnt afraid these guys and their questions. she is strong and emotionally intelligent.
It looks like an interrogation rather than interview :) At that time these men could not squeeze out of themselves Madam Prime Minister.
Magnificent woman!
She was HEROIC.Her emotional intelligence is BEYOND. Handling these RIDICULOUS MEN ATTACKING her...She was the QUEEN BEE.😢😢😢😢😢
she was indeed, and she was MY Prime Minister.
17:00 “I don’t think this is a sentimental world” In response to tough questioning she is a true realist
She have to go back to Ukraine
Fascinating. Tough, smart woman.
Not smart enough, the 67 war caught her by surprise and it cost her, the PM seat
@@amateur_football9751 Yet you are referring to the 1973 Yom Kippur War. But, hey, you're the expert!
@@jasonrose6288 So you know she is not smart and no, I'm not an expert, but I do have cousins in Israel, to them she was not a good PM, in fact they rate her second worst
@@amateur_football9751 She was rightly judged harshly for the near catastrophic blunder of '73. She was still highly intelligent and a tough and ferocious advocate for Israel.
@@amateur_football9751 ruling a country is the most difficult job in the world and Israel is the most difficult country in the world

An eye-opening interview and she was clever in answering questions. She was indeed a great leader.

Those people never want live in pease. Did u see Middle East now
My goodness , they didn’t know about round table then, to not appear looking like a court with 3 opposing men facing a magnificent woman! She was a force to reckon with ❤
It was called real journalists/journalism !
Some may not recognize it!!!
@@soulfireonfire6423 it’s called ancient interrogation!
She’s absolutely spectacular
Back when journalists asked questions and politicians answered them.
Should be FINED when they REFUSE!
Golda Meir was a genius woman! There have never been a great leader in Israel to match her!!
Actually she made some serious mistakes!
is a genious
Rabin?
She was my prime minister when I moved to Israel in 1971 - and frankly even with the mistakes that were made prior to the Yom Kippur War she was the best. I know as I was there, I do not have to read a book on that war - I lived it, as did my late husband and newborn son. The same cast of characters and bad actors bullied Israel in 1973. The Arab oil embargo and pushing the cease fire - and just like today it was a surprise attack from the south and the north. I watched Operation Nickle Grass fly over Tel Aviv with cargo/transport planes from the USA and the Azores - delivering tanks etc.. in mid October 1973 - we had severe losses over 2800 IDF soldiers killed and 8 thousand plus IDF soldiers and civilians were wounded. I watched as Anwar Sadat visited us and addressed the Knesset in November 1977, we gave the entire Sinai back to Egypt - peace??? Where is Egypt today? They and Jordan kept their gates closed to the Gazans and have joined forces with the ANC in SA against Israel. I wish she was here now. No-one can match her and her resolve. Am Yisrael Chai, and we are here to stay.
Amen and Amen
Am Yisrael Chai

Begin and Shamir were pretty informed and resolved, though Begin went off the rails somewhat with his grandiose and unrealistic ideals.
Golda Mier was a God send
We seeing the same evil
Saying g the same things
And doing the same evil against
Children and against the people
Israel and their own Children and their own
People.
And a world looking the other way
And letting it grow...was it let qhat happened
in Germany and that lead to WORLD WAR ll
We need to look at this and ask why
The attitude then sounds like now! All the pressure to give up is on Israel and the mention of the " international community" is the same.
We are sovereign!
She's brilliant to answer his attacks aimed to demean her
Such a smart woman.
Thank you for sharing this important bit of history. And it is important enough to warrant pointing out the typo in both the title and summary text; it should read Golda Meir, not Golda Meri.
This woman had a backbone and infinite love for Israel. She was also a brave heart. To me, she was not tough, she was just defending what’s right and she was very disciplined and hard working.
Where was she born ?
In the sovit union. If I recalled came to Israel at age 9. @@fouadmas5413
As best I can remember came to Israel at age 9
@@fouadmas5413 She was born in Palestine to Jewish emigrants from Europe. I think she was originally from today’s Serbia.
She was a war criminal but she was also lucky because back then there was no social media that could air the Ethnic Cleansing and the Genocide against Palestinians live on air!! Thank God, she passed away and will never return again.
21:57 "Can we afford to live?" That one statement sums up the entirety of Israel's history
It pisses me off that these men haven't once referred her by her proper title. It's always "Miss" or "Mrs" Meir. But she was the democratically elected leader of a sovereign nation. It's Madam Prime Minister/Prime Minister Meir.
I can't imagine Europeans sitting down with President Nixon at the time and just calling him "Mr. Nixon" the entire time.
Give me a break. This is what worries you at this time? Today they would be grilling her with one-sided zeal.
Or Chucky?
@@BenjaminGolden-c5u They DID grill her after she won the war. The Judiciary held her to account. Unlike male leaders she took ALL of the responsibility for the human losses of Israel on herself.
@@purenkool2024 Please spare me the "women are oppressed narrative." Golda should have been grilled as all politicians should be. In some ways women may be treated more harshly whereas in others not at all and are treated with less scrutiny.
How much are you willing to pay me if I give you links to videos where Nixon, Carter, and Clinton were referred to with a mere 'Mr.' followed by their last name?
Great opening troll from Golda...."56, 67, 69...If it was necessary to fight a war and for Arab countries to lose to bring about a peace, they had these opportunities"
Period
I personally love this woman.
A great leader.
Nothing changed... The media still treats Israel the same way these two guys attitude. The current Israeli PM gets the same style of questions from the media... Nothing changed.
It’s gotten worse, far worse even.
@@PaulBCohenWith this I agree 100%. B'ezrat HaShem we will in future have no reliance already on antisemitic USA.
She's rolling in her GRAVE. She was HEROIC. If these WOKE PROTESTORS ONLY KNEW WHO SHE WAS....❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Yes, she would be rolling in her grave to see the inhumane war by both Hamas and Israel. She abided by international rules of law and she would not have supported the illegal expansion of settlements.Israel and Eygpt chose to assassinate its leaders that pushed for peace through Camp David. Now both countries are morally bankrupt. So very SAD.
It's lovely to watch PM Golda M in TV.

"it seems like they are more interested in fighting than winning"
Wonderful woman
PM Golda Meir - what a hero!
She defeated 2 armies: Assad and Sadat. She was so strong and so courageous. She won! And then she forced her enemy Sadat to become an ally. That is why I am a Feminist. Women like Golda are such brilliant diamonds! 🇺🇸💕🇮🇱💐💐💐❤️
So pride of Golda Meir, A Giabt in knowledge🙏💚💛💙🩵💋
Why was her last name spelled incorrectly in the video title? It’s online for few weeks! 😮
I found it disrespectful. I didn’t subscribe because of it.
They are so lazy, it will be there forever. They never change this silly typos.
I was 6 mnths old when Golda spoke here.
I was 12. I did a book report on her!
Thank you for sharing this important bit of history. Respectfully, I couldn't help but notice how she was interrupted several times and not allowed to finish her thoughts. Though sometimes it's understandable that some interviewees can be somewhat hostile, such was not the case here.
Important to remember there's no substitution for good listening to foster communication.
It was 1973 and she was the first ever female leader are you that surprised
Please correct the spelling on the banner!!!!!!
And within the text too
Ok, Mr. Mier.
She was absolutely great.
It is so sad to see that nothing much has changed.
GOLDA MEIR, OF BLESSED MEMORY, WAS BRILLANT!
WE NEED SOMEONE LIKE GOLDA TODAY! THE TOPICS ARE AS REAL TODAY AS THEY WERE THEN. WAKE UP!
Talk about history repeating itself. Golda has always been one of my top political leaders.
The setting of this is remarkable: to me it seems like a tribunal…?
Golda Meir was grilled by the Judiciary for the human losses at the start of Yom Kippur War. They declared her acquitted of any guilt.
This has always been the format for "Face the Nation."
Dear Golda,I will miss you forever

Unbelievable, three against one
All the guests were treated the same. Are you saying that she should have received special treatment?
Just like today… news caster always break in and dooooooo not let the INTERVIEWEE FINISH THERE SENTTNCE!!!

Whether some accept it or refuse to do so, we don’t depend essentially on any other nation, we depend on the Almighty. Who brought many back to Eretz Israel. We have always depended on God.

Today, our leaders are all stretching the truth(NOT good).
I lived in Israel in 1969 and she was awesome. But this fight will never end...
One never knows. The French and the Germans getting along was simply unimaginable. Sadly, I think you are probably right. You are an old guy as I am based on the date in your comment. I hope I am long gone when and if Israel loses the struggle.
It will end. And spoiler alert...Israel will subdue all its enemies, specifically The Vatican and its depraved Pope.

Please correct the title and video details: Golda Meir (not Meri)
Many Egyptians are still taught they won the Yom Kippur War 😂😂. Glad Golda Meir said the truth here, that Israel won.
Let them think that they won. Reclaimed "pride" is one reason that the peace treaty with Israel has been popular in Egypt. But Sadat knew that peace was a strategic necessity.
It’s so nice to see 50 years later all of this was figured out, and it is just a memory…..
Ahhh. Sarcasm. Too bad it wasn’t true.

This is a guy!!
"Can we afford to live?" Quite a remarkable leader.

Cool. Enjoyed watching ✌️😎
There are still letters available in the archives of Golda Meir's letters sent from Cairo addressed to Palestine

Because though God has punished her for her sins, every time she breaks her part of the covenant with God, He punishes her if they don’t repent of their sins. Afterwards, God restores her & judges Israel’s enemies & destroys them.
