I'm glad that I watched this.
I learned that there is a champion and that that champion is Charles Oliveira.
Seems silly, in a way, that he keeps repeating that line, but in the end it actually gives me more confidence that he'll win because he's driving the message home to his subconscious that he is truly the very best, and this will make winning tonight seem natural to him. This self-brainwashing technique is something we should all take note of if we wish to perform at our best. I wish I did it more myself.

Not only did the translator convey Charles’ emotion well, but good god he has such a good memory for translating these long responses. Oliveira talks for like a minute straight every question and (as far as I know), the translator remembered all of it

This translator is a prime example of a man who got hired to do a job and saw it as an opportunity of a lifetime considering the employer and instead of saying “ah I finally made it, time to let off the gas” he said “it’s time to elevate to a higher level, get intimate with the fighters and really get into a character that makes me stick out immediately in a likeable way” and he executed it perfectly. Respect good sir.

I love Charles but missing the weight isn't professional. As a professional fighter, this is the last thing they need to worry about come the day of the weigh in. That's what they're paid for.
He is probably carrying a injury we are not aware of or he is coming in slightly bigger that will make him more dangerous or the scales are dodgy either way let all fighters get through healthy this will be a special one he is a powerful finisher

There's multiple reports the scale was a half-pound off and if you go look at all the weigh-ins 85% of the fighters weighed 0.5 lbs extra

This is honestly crazy. He has been in lightweight now for a while and never missed weight before this. Featherweight is a whole other discussion because even as a 20 year old he was still way too big for that division. They have to look at the scale.
True, supposedly there is a rumor that the scale was slightly off, even still though it could have something to do with him getting older, as it gets harder to cut weight with age, hence in your 20s it would be easier than mid to late 30s.
Why ? They set up that to vacate the title, we know for who.

Tony literally bounced on the scale and it was slamming back and forth. Tony should have been fined heavily for actually trying to ruin the scale. Obviously slamming a scale around isn't good for it's accuracy. But also, I don't think blaming the scale in the back room is really a valid excuse. I like Charles a lot. But he has missed weight on 4 other occassions, and he did get a 2nd chance to make the weight. What was the reason he missed weight on the 2nd attempt?

Charles is still the champion. The scale was off according to a ton of people who have analyzed it. 19 fighters were over there typical weight by .5 during these weigh ins

Well he was 1 pound over than lost .5 only. He knew from the first weigh in he needed to cut 1 pound regardless if the scale was off or not. Maybe it was .5 he only needed to cut so he would have made it but he wouldn't have known that he only would have known about the full pound. He makes weight if it wasn't a title fight.
