Lets be real all the men on the show had a type and it definitely wasn't black women .Izzy was tolerated for her accent and more European features but ultimately didn't last either. But on the flip side the French girl was super classy and beautiful but got pushed to the side because she wasn't wild and was genuinely seeking a connection most of the guys were trash or simps that was definitely known in their previous shows.

I agree. To add to this I have been questioning the sexuality of the men that are on these shows. Like why do they all have nose piercings, or are wearing nail polish, twerking, wearing crop tops. It was hard for me to feel anyone was really straight at times and not either in the closet or bi. Chase for example just doesn't seem straight to me. I would love to find a comment where someone talks about this because it's not just this show I have felt like this is a pattern.

I came on UA-cam to express my feelings about the show and I come across this here. The show really shows the negativity and the way people feel about women of color they’re always last or used but never necessarily wanted, I’m not saying all women of color, but this is the way it’s portrayed. To add insult to say she is a beautiful chocolate drop. That’s an insult. You didn’t go to any other woman of another color and say they are beautiful and then match them up with some kind of candy or food. It’s really an insult. Just the way the women of color were just used and used by men even the ones that look like us, as it has been for so many years that we are less than or at the bottom of the barrel. It’s definitely hard to watch. Sad to see and not entertaining.

I felt bad for her when her and Zay matched up. The things he would say to her was kind of low. She made a mistake on picking Chase, but let’s all be real now she PROBABLY (maybe she did) didn’t knew Chase’s real character at the moment since he was technically new to her and he was being flirty and nice to her that it caught her attention. Poor girl looked confused when Chase wanted to go on a date when she thought they had a genuine thing going on. I thought that it was just low of Chase to take advantage of her like that then leave whiling pretending to care/like her. He even made a “joke” on the night they matched that he was gonna kick her out of the room and proceeded to laugh saying it was a joke.
I hope for the next season that the cast members would be more open minded and actually genuine about finding love and not looking for short hook ups on the show AND not set people on dates with women when they know that they’re perfectly doing good with their matches because it’s just plain unfair to the women that’s newly coming into the house 🙄 But it’s a reality TV show so nothing is ever genuine

I’m noticing this pattern as well and watch love is blind US felt the same way there too.
Makes me so sad for BW because I feel like these shows just help push the stereotype that black women are just the “bestie”, supporting actress but not a love interest, attractive to be romanced by multiple races,
not the main character in the love story, Nada ESPECIALLY DARK AND BROWN SKIN BLACK WOMEN I cannot emphasize this enough.
Non black folks love preaching “love has no color” when referencing when we praise “Black Love” but it’s simply because Black love is never elevated or promoted and black women are always at the bottom of the barrel in the dating pool due to Colorism often by our very own.
Black men have higher chances attracting various ethnic people because often I feel that black men are fetishized due to the stereotypes that I feel work in their favor (masculine, stereotyped as “packing down there”, great sexually and strong tough etc) which many women of all different backgrounds like and look for.
But I feel with BW works against them, often deemed as too masculine, too strong personality or features, too curvy, naturally coiled hair that doesn’t look like long straight hair unless it’s in a weave or relaxed, confident, outgoing, often more lively etc. BW are also seen as overly sexual, whorish etc that just works against us. which many men outside of the race look for the complete opposite also dark skin on females is just seen as unattractive I feel like cuz of deep ingrained colorism going so far back in time for beauty standards I mean look at other cultures like Asian countries whitening skin is very much a thing cuz of this (Korea, Japan, India) and of course Africa skin Lightening occurs. Even in Island countries in Latin America “Mejor la raza” os a thing (better the race) to date someone lighter to lighten your bloodline. (Im Afro Latina)
These shows just arouse those feelings in me everytime cuz I always can guess the BW going home and who gone play her if they matched.
I’m still trying to recover from Cashay being dumped by Andre whom she chose over Cinco and brought into the Villa for Alana then he said he “regretted it later”when she deserved to be there more than Alana.
So yeah these dude on these shows are pathetic and how they treat the BW on here even worse. I’m sorry but I just had to go there cuz I’m tired

It’s not always a case of colour and discrimination but more of character and maturity, these type of shows deliberately pick immature men who cannot handle mature-thinking women actually looking for love and marriage (whom may very well be ‘of colour’) unfortunately the focus is often on the wrong thing, interracial couples is much more common today so not sure why the argument is mostly “these men don’t like black women” rather than are these men actually looking for love and can they handle a mature-thinking woman who happens tp be black or of other ethnicities 🤔😮‍💨

@@ninagrace-lee8323 I can agree that yes this disproportionately effects all women of color as a whole on dating shows but at the same time effects black women the most. White passing or racially ambiguous women of color ( season 4 of too hot to handle for example) were highly ranked in desirability by the crop of men & had no issues finding multiple matches. Point being Netflix needs to do a better job casting a diverse group of men (including back men) who also date black women to give black women cast-mates an equal opportunity to participate in the experiment. I also wanna add that Savannah (as gorgeous as she was) was being too much of a lukewarm game player & her choices/behavior/attitude played a huge part of her not having a match….not because she wasn’t seen as desirable/dateable by the group of men

I’m all for spreading awareness but I don’t encourage us as Black women to fully embrace this narrative around being the only ones not chosen unless that’s explicitly what’s happening. Take it case by case, otherwise we will be calling wolf when ever we don’t get the representation we like.

She's incredibly gorgeous, but I feel it lies more in the inequality of the cast than the "Black Women" biais.
Two black women were overweight while all other ethnicities were ultra fit (may sounds harsh, but we know that tall, fit good looking men are less likely to chase overweight women). One black woman is 30 and sends the "combative argumentative bad b*tch energy" men are tired of. The last one had more chances, but sadly shot at someone who didn't want her.
I would have loved to see young, fit, soft Black women aligned on the selection of the rest of the cast, so we can properly compare the treatments.

I do feel like Fran didn’t actually like dom until it was to late because after she ended it with him she always looked salty that it wasn’t her he was with. But then again that could be because her and damion wasn’t getting the storyline/attention she thought she was going to. Soon as dom moved on the spotlight (couple wise) wasn’t on her anymore. Chase was right from day one of reading that girl! She was the villain and was using every partner she had to try and get that camera time. And I knewwwww I wasn’t tripping when she came out with the orange suit on with her black shorts folded down I instantly thought that was savanna’s look! and why is it every time someone confessed their feelings for that girl she played lost when she was literally stringing these emotions out of these people. She was playing a game the entire time. And she was ticked when chase called ts out even though he was no better, at least he was open about his motives from day one in the door.
