The second bit should be used at the top edge like the third bit. With the third bit you can raise the bit up and get rid of the lip or down and make the lip bigger. Make sure when routing that your moving the router at a steady pace to keep from gouging or burning the wood and make sure you are moving it to where your feeding the fresh material into the cutting surface not against the back side. I hope this helps. Great video.

I bought one of this and a few 1/4 bit. I can not insert the bit even if I loosened the nut? Is there a way to remove the collet?

Having same issue. It's like the collet is in the closed position🤔

I’ve been looking at this for a good few months now, glad you’ve got one to review for us! How much is the router in the US body only?

@@noprojustsharing6506 ok cool, no worries, I appreciate the videos man. They are £250 so I may grab one when they drop in price slightly, having a cordless router really does have its advantages. I wish we had the same access to Milwaukee tools as you guys in the states do, imo the Uk 🇬🇧 is around a year behind by way of tool releases and even then we can’t get everything that you guys can over there yet. It’s getting better but we pay more for it too.
Anyway, cheers for the comment, keep the videos coming, I always appreciate videos on tool organisation or tool storage ideas, van storage ideas, organisation tips in general, in case you have any or are wanting some ideas for future content?
Have a good day my man 👍🙏

yes Gareth, I agree with you, the smoothness that it can cut a internal circle and the edge is not comparable to hand sanding or a rotary tool

Hoping to give you some insight on the batteries. The compact router is a Fuel designated tool, therefore you will be best served to use an HO or High Output Battery. You can use a Milwaukee 3 amp HO battery in conjunction with the Compact Router. The HO Batteries utilize the newer 21700 cells that provide 50% more power/torque and run 50% cooler than their Non-HO counterparts. The tools electronics will communicate with the batteries electronics, if more power is needed for a particular task it’ll be provided.
You can use a 5 amp battery, but for comfort, lighter weight and power I’d use the 3 amp HO Batteries. I use them with all my M18 impacts and drills. The most powerful of the HO’s (sans the 12 amp HO) is the 6 amp HO. It outperforms the 8 amp HO in torque tests. Check out the new Torque Test Channel on UA-cam.

Thanks Marty, I actually have all of those batteries but I was trying to make the video pretty quick and I just grabbed the closest battery not thinking to provide a super efficient setup for the tool but just for display purposes only. Thankfully you do not need a HO battery to just simply display the functionality of the tool. Thanks a lot for the comment, I really appreciate you taking the time 👍🏼
