The thing about built-in wardrobes as opposed to free standing one is that they both can take up the same amount of floor space. London apartments are small. Not having built in wardrobes gives you flexibility on what size wardrobe you prefer and where to place it to maximise floor space.
Makes me sad to see how much it costs to rent in London nowadays. I bought my flat 25 years ago, and the mortgage payments are half what this place costs...and my place is probably a little bigger than this too.

I’m sure they exist, they’re just not common! I viewed 15 apartments and none had built in wardrobes lol
