Yes, Krutoy is the composer, so he was in his prime when you were reminiscing about music of the 80s. I agree it feels a bit military, but the purpose is to be a pep rally to kick of the Olympics. You're strong. You can do this. The world needs you.
Loved this "Olimpico" marathon! Would highly recommend that you do the same for "Know"/"Vocalise." There are 2 live versions of "Know" on his channel (New Wave and Moscow concert/VTB arena) as well as "Vocalise" (from his Arnau tour in Kiev) which is literally a vocalised/improvised version of "Know." He performs "Vocalise" differently at every concert; in addition to his Arnau /Kiev version, a couple of the best versions are from Moscow and St. Petersburg. Enjoy!

I would add "Know" form New York, a melisma. I soared to the roof of Barclays as it lifted off to Dimash's vocals . I was transported because I was expecting something different and it absolutely blew me away.

"War and Peace" is a composition by Dimash
There is only one answer to all questions ... Dimash is a miracle, a gift from God to humanity. He is perfect, elegant, modest, beautiful, charismatic, unique in all respects. The song was written by the same author's duet as another Italian-language composition by Dimash "La passione". The music was written by Igor Krutoy, and the lyrics by Lilia Vinogradova. The composition is incredibly complex, it combines melody, rhythm and assertiveness. This is a mini-opera for three voices, including a female soprano. But Dimash managed solo with the support of the chorus and orchestra.
"Ogni pietra" is a solemn hymn to the Olympians, a call to be strong and not stop halfway. But the words of the song can be perceived in a narrower sense, as a motivator for every person living in this world. "Every stone and every flower - everything on this Earth was created for love. We are its children, poets and heroes ..." The main call of the composition is to go forward and not stop, always remember that you can do anything, you just want to. And Dimash Kudaibergen demonstrates this by his example, perfectly performing a complex song for three voices alone.

Hi, Paul. You're a delight and I enjoy the way you're taking this journey. You may not be a music or vocal professional, but you picked up something in the first fancam version of Olimpico that I've only heard one other reactor notice or comment on, and he was an opera teacher. It was precisely where you said (paraphrasing) "What was that? It's like I can hear two tones, a high one and a low one" on those few notes where Dimash transitions from his mezzo/alto on his way to soprano. Your ears don't deceive you, but I didn't know what it was either until I heard one teacher play it several times to analyze it. As he explained it, Dimash is singing a mix of head and chest voice on those notes. But, he's bringing his head voice *down* to mix it with his chest voice, which is apparently extremely unusual, and the exact opposite of how it's usually done. For those few notes, you truly are hearing two tones simultaneously, as in overtone singing. I just know I love the way those particular notes sound. See you tomorrow!

Igor Krutoy wrote this song just for Dimash vocal. I don’t think anyone can cover this song like Dimash. He has set the bar high for up and coming singers. I really want him to sing this song at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

This performance is the opening of the European games. Hence the opening is the priority and Dimash was asked to be the opener, so to speak I love the version where he is in black. It was a great honour for him of course and part of the world recognising him. By the way he has a 6 active range.
yes, although we would love to see him more, the opening of the event was the priority, and thus we have to accept that mostly only the flag of that event was shown. but we still could see the size of the event (the stadium, the orchestra, etc), and the next video (the fancam) made up for it by showing his face, its lighting (and almost his tonsils :-) all the time.

The author Igor Krutoy tell that he wrote an “opera” to Dimash for Olimpic Russian Games, and is difficult piece for to sing (for two opera singers) and is in Italian......Dicen mash is trained opera singer and He has classical vocal Technique and do it wonderfully!..Last perfect note is a high E6 for 7 seconds....for that reason I like Dimash! The first performance was from Dimash's solo concert in Kazakhstan in 2019, its was more Rocky, Dimash loves to put rock music together with, pop and classical. The second was at Sochi in Russia with Igor Krutoy who indeed composed the song in collaboration with Dimash. The lyrics were written in Italian by a lady whose name I just cannot remember sorry. Igor and Dimash have collaborated a few times and always with great results. The third video is not the best as you see so little of him. The 4th performance is exactly the same concert as the first one you watched, just a fancam version, the dancers with lights are going around him, watch the first one again and you will see them properly. The 5th performance from Worldskills is nice and it was part of a few songs he performed there. If you like he has his entire New York concert on his official UA-cam channel its in 2 parts so maybe you could react to the whole concert just do it in parts. The sound quality is much better and you can see just what a charismatic showman he is, also lots of Dinglish and humility.. Dimash is a true superstar and his concerts are spectacular ❤

This song was written by Igor Krutoy especially for Dimash and his abilities. It won the equivalent of the Russian Grammy and Igor and Dimash won as the composer and artist.

Me pasa parecido a ti, Dimash me hace regresará esos tiempos cuando la música era intensa, con grandes voces ( claro que el supera a todos los cantantes que haya oído) gran instrumentación y grandes puestas en escena a fines de los 80's.
Yo había perdido el gusto por la música, estaba detenida en el tiempo MUSICALMENTE hablando, vivía añorando sentirme como cuando encendía la radio y sonaba grandes como Celin Dion, Queen, Witney Houston, Brian Adams, Elton Jon, Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi y un largo etcétera! Siempre había grandes que escuchar, ahora están muchos muertos o sus voces muy deterioradas! Extrañaba demaciado la calidad en la música y DIMASH ME DEVOLVIÓ ESA EMOCION MULTIPLICADA EXPONENCIALMENTE!

About his english... Well, his english is not the best, but he's improving a lot! I think he'll be speaking fluently sooner then we think, since he's really good with languages.
He has some english songs, if you want to check them out, I'd recommend to you the mj tribute (give me your love), screaming, across endless dimensions, golden (he realesed a music video for this one recently, it looks like a movie), lay down, mademoiselle hyde, your love... He also did some covers of already famous english songs, like "the show must go on" from queen, "hello" from Lionel Richie, "my heart will go on" from Celine Dion and, of course, he performed some MJ songs as well haha
