Interesting and dark. What ever call you make is understandable here.

I'd say go for it. Why not? If you feel like you want then go. Whatever happens you will gain by learning no matter the result .......

Why not? Well, there is potential for serious injury, maybe my ankle snap last year happened in just this way. So I must keep prioritising that. I've had over 180 international fights, so the allure of mere experience/learning doesn't add much. And if I really cannot fight comfortably, I'd be mainly learning how to cope with an enfeebled body, not sure it is necessary to be put through that. But we'll see... still a week to go.

@@LondonSavate ........ I understand well the situation now. You instruct well so to keep at that is fine. Plus there are some young ones in the class, you can see them through with your experience ..... Keep an open mind though and think it well ......

@@LondonSavatethe art is a lifelong pursuit. You have a lot yet to accomplish. If you’re not feeling great about competition, then maybe you need to listen to your gut and see if this is the right time. It’s a tough decision to make. With you, coach!

@@Allen2saintyes, I decided to train lightly over the weekend and will see what the body says on Monday. I often use a koan to reply when people ask me how long they need to train for: "until you die".
