I'm not sure if they stopped because of the homelessness or because parents kept forgetting their kids at the store. 😂
Probably stopped because of a combination of homelessness and deeming it as unprofitable compared to just using the space for more product. Also, many places, including Walmart, don't feature video games very prominently anymore due in large part to theft. I remember a time when you could just grab a game off the shelf to buy it, rather than having employees open a glass cabinet and escort you to a cash register.

Even though I’m American, I totally get the overwhelming feeling about Walmart, because I’m old enough to remember what Walmart stores USED to be like in the 80’s and early 90’s. And they were still probably massive even then compared to what you see in other countries, but they were a fraction of the size they are today.
On my day off, at 3 AM, I would go to the all night super Walmart, because I was a night shift worker. It was me, the checkout person, and the stockers. So quiet.
This is why it's called a Walmart Super Center. It's one stop shopping for anything and everything you could ever need and it has evolved over the years/decades. There is not much that exists that Walmart doesn't have at least some version of. You're not going to find designer clothing, specialty items or high quality furniture, etc, etc, etc but they have pretty much all the necessities in life you could ever need, a cheap version of them anyway. Like that bed probably isn't something you're going to want to sleep on long term, it's not a high quality mattress but it will get you a bed to sleep on for cheap.
I love how he was commenting on how cheap everything was, while we have politicians telling us that prices in the US are the highest in the world and that we're all going to starve to death because nobody can afford anything.
I am so happy you finally got to visit a Walmart! Your daughter is sooooo cute and your girlfriend is gorgeous. Hope y’all had a wonderful time in Florida.
Wait until you go into a Costco…even bigger. You’ll have to text your family to find them on the other side of the store! We are a big country that likes big stuff. lol. 😂
Glad you got to experience it. Walmart is actually what's called a "discount retailer". They're similar to a department store in that they kind of sell everything, but with a focus on low price and a "no frills" experience. A lot of foreigners seem to think they're a grocery store first, but their expansion into full grocery with fresh food was somewhat recent, and they did it gradually over the past couple decades as stores expanded or were remodeled. They always had food but it used to be limited to canned/boxed/shelf stable foods and drinks and things like sodas, chips(crisps), snacks, etc
The veggie tray is a good deal. You'd spend $11 on the veggies and ranch and the work is done for you. You can grab it as a work lunch/on way to party or dinner/ grab for kids for snack at the games and stuff. You can get huge trays in the deli for bigger gatherings.
😂😂😂 shopping with you is funny!! I feel like I need ADHD medication 🤣🤣🤣 Awww baby girl is beautiful 💜💜💜 our Walmart has Philly cheesesteak shop called Charley’s. No McDonald’s. But, ours in Texas was also built around a very old oak tree!!! Useless trivia!!
We are not allowed to have Walmarts in New York City, so whenever we visit Orlando we go to Walmart first for lunch and to stock up for the hotel room and we’re always overwhelmed by the size lol
@@novemBURRbby politicians have come together and blocked them from building here, and also the way Walmart works regarding employment and taxes and stuff is different from nyc law and they would need to change their business model for possible nyc locations
That's actually a relatively small Wal-Mart lol unless you skipped a few departments. One of the two Wal-Marts we have in our city has an entire wall dedicated to a pet store and mechanics in the back. They actually have fairly cheap tires
Wal-Mart had a small food court in the 80s and 90s, but then they made a deal with McDonald’s (and later Subway), so they took out the food courts. They weren’t very good anyway.
@@Plasmastorm73_n5evv I was young, but if I remember correctly, it was basically like high school sports concessions stands (cheap hot dogs, dry hamburgers, stale nachos with mystery cheese “sauce”)
I live in Florida and some of them are even larger! Some have car repair shops, doctors and health centers, banks, restaurants, and pharmacies all in the same building, along with all the things you see there.
Always remember that every Walmart and Target is laid out pretty much the same way. Electronics/the most valuable stuff in the back middle, clothes are front middle, food section is always either the right or left side of the store, auto parts or outdoor/gardening stuff is always on the opposite side of the store from the food
You have to remember, those huge stores like Walmart and Costco, each one handles thousands of people a week. Because of that they need lots of potato salad. Even if one in 20 people bought one tub it adds up quick
I am just absolutely loving getting to see your trip. The hurricane was probably a bit more excitement than you wanted but a huge conversation piece. Welcome to America buddy and we hope you guys get to try everything you've been curious about and have a great time! 🙂
don't know if that walmart had it or not, but a lot of walmarts around me also have lawn and garden areas (garden supplies, lawn mowers, etc.) and an automotive section where you can buy certain car parts, and even pull your car into their own garage and get tires and oil changed. Not every walmart has the lawn and garden or automotive sections though.
Walmart used to have a little in store cafe called the Radio Grill but it's all been replaced by in store fast food chains like McDonalds, Subway etc now. Those snack bar cafes used to be very common in discount department stores, Kmart, Target and others had their own versions as well, but they've nearly all dissipated now, Target seems to be eliminating the remaining ones in favor of a Starbucks in store

Hey, a Walmart visit, awesome!!!! Thanks for the vid and the investment in future content. Your daughter is an angel and hello to your partner. Take care!
My niece owns that record player. The sound quality is actually really good and loud. I don’t know what shipping prices to Europe are from that part of the US, but they’re reasonable in the part of the US I live in (Oklahoma) via the US Postal Service. My niece sends boxes of stuff to friends in Europe every few months. Those boxes probably weigh more than that record player. Though the downside is the player does require to be plugged in so you’d need an adapter for the plug/socket and apparently those are expensive in some places in Europe from what my niece’s friends have said (hence why she hasn’t sent them any electronics unless they are portable/battery powered). I mean she has friends in Canada, Korea, and Australia, too, and only the shipping to Canada is less expensive than to Europe (one of Canadian friends lives in a city right across the border; her friend can see downtown Detroit from where she lives in Canada and so the shipping to that friend is usually the same as shipping to one of our family members in the Midwest). Surprisingly the most expensive is shipping to Korea (we thought it’d be Australia, but nope it’s not too much more than to Europe for some reason). My local Walmart no longer has a McDonald’s in it. We have a Charley’s Cheesesteak now. At my local Walmart you usually have to get the Deli workers’ attention so they know you’re ready to buy. When a friend worked there they said that they get a lot of people that are just browsing and so after a bit you just adjust to customers calling for you (they didn’t work in the deli for too long, though, they ended up moving to work in receiving for a few years and now they do the home delivery service that comes with Walmart+ membership which they really enjoy doing because it combines their two favorite things to do: drive and chat with people). Idk if $11 for that veggie platter is good or not for the area you were and that particular one isn’t at my local Walmart so can’t give a direct comparison. I know there’s some big ones here that are priced $8-$10 and most are around $6-$7 for the average sized ones. The small ones are $4-$5, but I don’t know who buys those at their regular price. I have a friend who likes to go to our local Walmart in the late evening to see the fresh stuff, baked stuff, deli stuff that’s got the prices marked down due to the sell by date being that day. I mean, it’s usually stuff she ends up taking to eat for her lunch at work the next day so it’s not like she has to worry about the food going bad and she gets it for a good price (the small veggie things usually drop to $1 and she’s the only person I know who buys that size, but there must be others who buy it at full price because there’s not usually a lot of them there when she gets them). Don’t worry even us Americans get lost inside Walmart…..especially when things get moved and re-arranged (especially during the holidays season when they move stuff you buy regularly to either the front areas of the stores or into the seasonal sections; example from my local Walmart would be them moving all the ketchup and mustard and hot dog buns in the week leading up to the 4th of July so instead of being on the bread aisle and condiments aisle their on some display somewhere either in the action alley [large wide aisles that connect sections; action alley I think is just a Walmart term, but my mom works there and friends work there so I don’t know what else other companies call that] or an endcap or up near the entrance/exit area on displays there. Sometimes it makes it easier to find like the example, but sometimes not so easy….one year the store manager set up a display for Thanksgiving near the back of the store and that’s where cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie filling, premade pie crusts, bread rolls, other similar stereotypical Thanksgiving food things…and flour. They put all the flour back there and the area it normally was in the baking section was empty and this wasn’t the week before Thanksgiving, nah management decided to set it up early the day after Halloween. According to my mom lots and lots of customers, especially those from the surrounding small towns who only come into my city once or twice a month, complained so eventually they also re-stocked the baking aisle with flour). So yeah, we get lost inside, too. You don’t look touristy at all. Awesome that you gained a new subscriber while at Walmart. Hope they enjoy your videos!! Great video! I’ll admit that I never get tired of seeing folks experiencing Walmart and similar things that us Americans really do just take for granted as such an everyday, regular, mundane, fact-of-life type thing and getting to hear and see folks point out that actually it’s really, really not that mundane, etc, at all for most people elsewhere in the world. Walmart mostly I think because my mom has worked there for a looooonnnngggg time and I have friends that work there (and I worked for the company for a bit of time as well) so it’s something I am waaaayyyy too familiar with. Thanks for making this video sharing your experience!
Most importantly, I'm glad you're getting to do this with your beautiful family. These memories (for two out of three of you, at least 😂) will last your entire lifetimes, just to experience something so new and different. Loving it, can't wait to see the hurricane reaction!
Strange to see what we take for granted through anothers' eyes. My sister and I visited Ireland last summer, southwestern area and we loved it. To be honest we'd move to Ireland if we could!
My favorite way to shop at Walmart is to order it online, they text me when the order is ready and I go to the parking lot assigned for online orders and they bring my entire order to the car. Absolutely zero hassles! For a monthly fee you can also get your orders delivered directly to your home by Walmart delivery services. In my experience, the only reason to actually go into the store is if 1. The item is needed immediately or 2. I wish to people watch (which is best done about 9:00 p.m. on a Friday night).
These videos help me appreciate how well we have it in the US for quality of life. Being able to go to just one store to get everything you might need is something I forget other countries might not have.
Walmart used to have a store in Garland, TX called HYPERMART...it was about the size of 3 regular Walmarts with a lot of other businesses/stores/services/banks etc inside. It was an all day thing and parking was a nightmare, you were wore out crossing the lot before you got inside...so you'd get a snack...then you'd have to waddle around full doing laps around the store working it off. You'd need a nap in the car before you drove home. hahahaha The day it opened was so huge that people called in sick to go to the opening. Crazy.

Can we trade? Mine (outside Philly) has a subway 🙄
Ours has Subway
We are not allowed to have Walmarts in New York City, so whenever we visit Orlando we go to Walmart first for lunch and to stock up for the hotel room and we’re always overwhelmed by the size lol
Wait really?! Why?!
@@novemBURRbby politicians have come together and blocked them from building here, and also the way Walmart works regarding employment and taxes and stuff is different from nyc law and they would need to change their business model for possible nyc locations
Adams gonna walk into a Tesco after he gets home and be extremely disappointed 😂
No one tell him about Buc-ees
That's actually a relatively small Wal-Mart lol unless you skipped a few departments. One of the two Wal-Marts we have in our city has an entire wall dedicated to a pet store and mechanics in the back. They actually have fairly cheap tires
Wal-Mart had a small food court in the 80s and 90s, but then they made a deal with McDonald’s (and later Subway), so they took out the food courts. They weren’t very good anyway.
That's the truth. Those food courts had the worst food ever.
@@Plasmastorm73_n5evv I was young, but if I remember correctly, it was basically like high school sports concessions stands (cheap hot dogs, dry hamburgers, stale nachos with mystery cheese “sauce”)
I love seeing Europeans react to things i see everyday 😂🙏
I live in Florida and some of them are even larger! Some have car repair shops, doctors and health centers, banks, restaurants, and pharmacies all in the same building, along with all the things you see there.
Hair salon, nail salon, phone store, eye doctor/glasses retailer...
@@PinkHibiscus-eh9hy YES!!! 🤣
I'm so excited to see this!!
Couser!! Swear i heard a bit of the irishman in the final seconds of the vid, loved the whole video, but that was my fav lol
That is the most tidy Walmart I've ever seen. I worked at Walmart for a few summers and ours was NEVER that tidy lol
A large Walmart is like 20 department stores, a full grocery store, a plant nursery, and automotive garage, and mini-mall all in it ne...
Minus the food court though, but give them time!😅
You missed the entire outdoor and auto care sections.
Don't worry, Adam. I still get overwhelmed & lost.
Just as long as I remember where the door is! 😂😂😂
Always remember that every Walmart and Target is laid out pretty much the same way. Electronics/the most valuable stuff in the back middle, clothes are front middle, food section is always either the right or left side of the store, auto parts or outdoor/gardening stuff is always on the opposite side of the store from the food
Enjoy ya videos. Keeping smiling.
Have fun and be safe.
If possible, Costco or Sam's club are some other places you should check out.
You have to remember, those huge stores like Walmart and Costco, each one handles thousands of people a week. Because of that they need lots of potato salad. Even if one in 20 people bought one tub it adds up quick
We definitely take Wal-Mart for granted. I'm glad you're enjoying your trip to the States!
So glad you got to experience it for yourself!! Glad you had a good time!❤
😄😄😄 electronics in the distance 😂
I am just absolutely loving getting to see your trip. The hurricane was probably a bit more excitement than you wanted but a huge conversation piece. Welcome to America buddy and we hope you guys get to try everything you've been curious about and have a great time! 🙂
don't know if that walmart had it or not, but a lot of walmarts around me also have lawn and garden areas (garden supplies, lawn mowers, etc.) and an automotive section where you can buy certain car parts, and even pull your car into their own garage and get tires and oil changed. Not every walmart has the lawn and garden or automotive sections though.
Something so heartwarming about watching people appreciate what we take for granted! ❤❤❤
Best. Walmart. Reaction. Ever! Well done Adam!
Walmart used to have a little in store cafe called the Radio Grill but it's all been replaced by in store fast food chains like McDonalds, Subway etc now. Those snack bar cafes used to be very common in discount department stores, Kmart, Target and others had their own versions as well, but they've nearly all dissipated now, Target seems to be eliminating the remaining ones in favor of a Starbucks in store
the smores pop tarts are soooooooooo gooooooooooood

Welcome Walmart employee, as a sales associate myself, we appreciate you looking after Adam!
The baby boy is so Cute 😍!!!!! Just found out he's a boy. Yeah, Walmarts are usually pretty big. They do have a huge variety of stuff. Glad you got to see for yourself 😊!!

One of the nice things about shopping at Walmart is you don't have to do cardio afterwards.
Welcome to regular shopping stores for us here. Love the videos bro.
My parents live just across the "border" from N.Ireland and have for the past 20 years. Yes, walmart is bigger than the malls in Ireland and has way more stuff. I love explaining to their neighbors what walmart is. "You can get your oil changed while grocery shopping and buying the new shotgun you wanted all while your wife is getting her eyes checked and never leaving the store.
I haven't seen a model bed in a Walmart in DECADES.
Pretty sure it was just a display for the bedding.
I know you're back home now, but welcome to the US! We love people who love us. ♥
Most importantly, I'm glad you're getting to do this with your beautiful family. These memories (for two out of three of you, at least 😂) will last your entire lifetimes, just to experience something so new and different. Loving it, can't wait to see the hurricane reaction!
Good show! Thanks.
I wish it was longer!
Everyone goes to Walmart but NEVER SHOWS THE AUTO Service area...at Super Walmart
Preparing myself to watch you share videos from my neighborhood for the next few days. I wonder if I’ll see myself😮
It's a plantain not a banana...

Crazy.
Groceries have sky rocketed since Covid and hasn’t come down much since. I truly feel grocery company’s are price gouging people
