Amazingly, within walking distance is "La Isla" mall, "Lans Plaza" (with a supermarket), and Palmita Market & Deli (a convenience store). A taxi ride to Zona Romantica is about 20 minutes, dependent on traffic.
OK, enough with sounding like a salesperson. Although this resort is very family-oriented (lots of activities and entertainment for the kiddos), as a gay couple, Joe and I really loved our stay. Gorgeous resort, endless amenities, and impeccable service. Enjoy the short video.

We have visited this resort once. But then we fell in love with the one in Nuevo Vallarta. It is quieter with less people. Thanks for the airial view of the hotel area.

Your comment actually saved me a huge hassle and headache !! I mixed up the 2 Villa del Palmar resorts (didn’t realize there’s 2) and figured out I extended my trip at the wrong place so was able to correct that ahead of time!! I’m going to the one in Nuevo Vallarta!

Is it legal to fly your drone in Puerto Vallarta? Or do you have to have a certain permit?

It's legal. However, the Hotel Zone is near the airport, so you have to be careful about the restricted air space.

I recommend people not stay here because of the two sad parrots that have sadly been living there caged without proper care for decades. No one ever seems to give them medical attention and it's just sad to see that they don't do anything about it despite many complaints from patrons.
