Sanguinius succumbed to the Black Rage and slew Horus and vegetated our beloved Emperor. So did his Divine Primarch Soul split into the Angel of Light and the Angel of Darkness. Dante and Mephiston.
Nope. Sangunior and Mephiston are the Light/Dark and Dante is the 'human' element of Sanguinius as well as his grounding to Baal. The three of them compose what it is Sanguinius was as a whole.

Aren't the primaris Blood Angels free of the genetic defect that causes the red thirst and black rage? Hopefully that could allow the Sanguinor to get the upper hand as he will still be fed by the nobility of the Blood Angels while Mephiston won't be getting empowered by the new marines.

Do you recall in which book they start to fall to the Red Thirst?
It's a reasonable assumption to make that Sanguinius was in fact both the black & golden angel, crammed into a genetically engineered body. It's been heavily implied that's what the Emperor took from the warp at Molech, nascent gods who had not yet awakened. The Primarchs were like enhanced Astartes but instead of a human soul, each had either a singular warp entity filling that role or multiple. Very unsettling to consider because it means they are/were essentially daemons. No wonder half of them fell to Chaos. E was absolutely insane to even try this shit

Welp, not happening for now anyway. Great Vidya!
Is this all cannon? Specifically the identity of the Sanguinor
It is indeed.
Herald of Sanguinius and Ruinstorm are the stories you need to read
Sanguinius gets so sad about his own death that he gets the black rage......... raven guard no longer the kings of the emo marines
That's definitely one way of phrasing it 😂
"with fates of 4 intertwined makes the gates of 8."
(The 8 watch helpless. As the 9th Vashtor steps forth intersecting the first malal chaos undivided...)
"With chaos I divide... with chaos you Divine.. now.. wager me this... your 4.. my 8.}
Damn that was good
Has it ever been explained why the Blood Angels experience the Black Rage yet the Iron Hands haven’t suffered the same? Their Primarch was murdered by his most beloved brother after all.
Edit: could it have been due to Horus being so utterly corrupted by the Ruinous Powers when he killed his brother, and Fulgrim was not yet a thrall of Slaanesh when he slew Ferrus?
So I think the reasoning is because of the golden and black angels
Great video mate!
Thanks a lot!
this cannon? so awesome
This is cannon
@@SandmanofTerra just finished it now wow!!! so cool!
What book is the scene from at the start where Sanguinius falls to the rage and attacks his son???
OOF... they pulled a Victor Von Doom with that mask.
I read the thumbnail way too fast and thought it said fallen to the black race 😂😂😂
What book is this from?
In order, these are the main ones (though there are others inbetween)
Unremembered Empire
Herald of Sanguinius
Angels of Caliban
Ruinstorm
Devastation of Baal
Darkness in the Blood
Mephiston City of Light
Crazy theory, what if Mephiston and the Sanguinor “fuse” and become one, would that result in a temporary return of Sanguinius? Imagine that
to be honest when they meet They will hug and Bury there Never easy relationship For The Imperiums survival they should do that tbh
Love these lore videos
Great video
Very good!
Sanguinius losses his shit
The Emperor: YES!!! LET YOUR HATE FLOW THROUGH YOU!!!!
8:50
Whats that soundtrack called
Also amazing video
Thanks!
Christoffer Moe Ditlevsen - The Atonement
I want Ahriman and Mephiston to throw down Psychically
19:23- Great video so far……. I do have a question about this picture though! Why does the picture of Guilliman make him look like he’s in white armor with black and gray here and there? I would say it’s a black and white picture but his eyes are red!?! Obviously it could still be one of those black and white pictures but with a little bit of color to draw the viewer to focus on that part!?! Is that it? Or does the leader of the blueberry boys have a almost all white suit of armor? I think it could be bad a$$ if so. But I just want to make sure it’s a lore accurate suit first!?! Thanks
Haha Thanks!
It's just the artist's style. Black and white with red eyes
Love it! Blood Angels let's goooo!
Sanguinius succumbed to the Black Rage and slew Horus and vegetated our beloved Emperor. So did his Divine Primarch Soul split into the Angel of Light and the Angel of Darkness. Dante and Mephiston.
*succumbed
@@theophrastusbombastus1359 Thank you for the correction.
Nope. Sangunior and Mephiston are the Light/Dark and Dante is the 'human' element of Sanguinius as well as his grounding to Baal. The three of them compose what it is Sanguinius was as a whole.
This is a very Interesting theory, If Horus died to Rage Mode Sangy then BIG E go Bitch slap sangy.
But wouldn't this just prove that Abaddon Is Horus 2.0, a Failure of a Son and a Failure of a Father.
Can someone please tell me the song title that plays at 12:30?
The Eternal War - Dream Cave
@@SandmanofTerra You're amazing, thank you!!!
Its a good breakdown. I like it.
So what did the act of pressing a decapitated head off onto a hot golden mask do? im confused is it to imbue a part of his soul into it or just Blood Angel rite?
Wow did not know this
I love how the grim darkness has roots in all our myths and religion. Vampires (blood angels) werewolves (space wolves) zombies, orks, creepy preachers, creepier cupid babies , ok maybe the last ain't from history but they creep me out....huge super men with super fast reflexes I can deal....I can see and understand.....even servo skulls I get as a creepy way to send messages or data process....like a creepy r2d2...but the babies ......yeah. obviously they were created by a dude with little womanly experience. No mother ever made would let those be.....and we all know the key to a happy home is a happy wife. Two words to a happy marriage...."yes dear"....😮. Erda wouldn't have let those babies end up like that.....esp when you could build little servo skulls with mechanical limbs that could do the same. In the heat of battle if I saw it I'd prob shoot it.....just saying.
Unknown to even the Emporer of Mankind itself, Sanguinius had a twin Brother, Sanguinor.
And after millenia of helping only in the worst battle the ledion had to fight, became the sign of we can't do shit, without Demi-Gods helping us...
So much Religion, in so little everything else. The one thing that always disgust me about 40k, is Religion in Sci-Fi and the lack of Science in every described piece of machinery.
"Yeah it work with belief into the emperor!" "Then why don't you build more of that?" " Its ancient, before Big E was a corps and every religion was erradicated." "Then, how can it even work with Belief?" "Don't know, don't care, praise the omnisiah!"
Aren't the primaris Blood Angels free of the genetic defect that causes the red thirst and black rage? Hopefully that could allow the Sanguinor to get the upper hand as he will still be fed by the nobility of the Blood Angels while Mephiston won't be getting empowered by the new marines.
Not any more, Primaris are starting to fall as well, the Redeemer has even have been summoned to care for them
@@jorahtheexplorer3262 I really feel like WH40K needs a dedicated continuity team like the Star Wars extended universe used to have. They write at odds or even retcon each others stuff too much and I don't think it is entirely intentional... they just don't know what else is written out there regarding what they are writing themselves. I know I read in I think it was "Indomitus" that Cawl's primary improvement was controlling the defects and specifically mentioned the Blood Angels new geneseed and having eliminated the Red Thirst. Do you recall in which book they start to fall to the Red Thirst?
@thenson1Halo they fell in the Codex IIRC and it's in the Redeemer of the Lost novel.
What’s the the soundtrack that plays when Sanguinius and the others make their way to terra?
What's the song around min 25 ?
It's a reasonable assumption to make that Sanguinius was in fact both the black & golden angel, crammed into a genetically engineered body. It's been heavily implied that's what the Emperor took from the warp at Molech, nascent gods who had not yet awakened. The Primarchs were like enhanced Astartes but instead of a human soul, each had either a singular warp entity filling that role or multiple. Very unsettling to consider because it means they are/were essentially daemons. No wonder half of them fell to Chaos. E was absolutely insane to even try this shit
How could he eat with the mask seared onto his face?
Was that part about Sanguinius falling to rage and killing his son only to be stopped by the Saguinor part of a fan fic or was that a genuine story about something that happened in the canon?
I don't cover fan fic on this channel. It's a genuine story
HOOOOOOOOORUUUUUUUS WHY DID YOU DO IT?!!!
What song was used in the beginning?
Sciophobia by Jo Wandrini
what music did you use?
Various music licensed from Epidemic sound
Sounds like HERESY
Can ypu get this figure to use in tabletop?
You can! Though he has quite an outdated model and I suspect will be updated in the future

black rage or the thirst ?? what ?????
I thought azkekellion was the sanguinor
He is not the Sanguinor, but he does "create" the Sanguinor in a way
@@SandmanofTerra I see that now I always thought it was him tho still the sanguinor is based
Sanguinius is a dangerously Warp tainted animal, and should have been put down. The Blood Angels are better, without him, even with the curse he inflicted upon them.
Vive l'empereur,,, et vive la France !! Ou la Bretonie !! ^^
Is this official lore?
I only cover official lore
@@SandmanofTerra ok well I'll sub cause your the only one who does cool lore like this
Unfortunately there is a heretical theory.
What if a Marine was to pilot another marine with Virtual Reality game console.
the lion beats the angel in combat.
Legion vs legion I can see the Lion winning but in a singles duel Sanguinius is going to win. It will be hard fought but the Angel will win.
nobody beats the angel.
Take it like this: we can assume that Leman and Lion are quite close to each other, and both are among the top contenders for best in close combat. Also, Leman stated that one of the primarchs he could not beat was Sanguinius. If it was so obvious for himself, and even that obvious to accept that publicly, I think it is quite clear that Sanguinius was over everybody else.
Every Primarc had his own Ability better than the Other .
Gullliman : Admiration
Horus : Charisma
Lion : Aura
Sanguinius : More powerful than his brother .
