I have never used a slip bobber for walleye before, but I sure will give it a try now! 28 inches is my personal best walley and I am wanting to break that record this open water season.
Def give it a try. It can be alot of fun. My dad and I used to night fish for them shallow with lighted slip bobbers. Lots of fun

Clayton those slip bobber rigs would be perfect to use when we head up to Russell Lake off the Wheeler river system in North Sask next month. I can see some stellar walleyes being caught with the old jig and a minna. Where was the chartreuse today? Awesome video as always. Miss the ask Dr Donkey session. Those bobbers would be great for Devils Lake Walleyes!!
I would definitely use those bobbers for some giant perch and crappies on the Wisconsin river.
Those slip bobber kits should bring in a few nice eaters at LOTP!

Welcome back, I know you have to wait a little while for that STIFF WATER to thin out. Did a decent job on 3 species I see. Love your reminder about the kill switch cord and PFD. That wind did kick up pretty good walleye chop.

22+" smallmouth North Minnesota slip bobber goal. Drifting for walleye always seems to be my go to. However no matter what I toss the biggest smallmouth always hit the float. Not mad about it at all though, nothing (almost) beats a 20+ in smallmouth on a slip with a 7'6" medium light, So fun!

I feel like I've been using slip bobbers for 15 years at this point. Love them. Personally a fan of the boss 1.25" slip bobber. Love the colors and the way it sits in the water. Mostly use them for crappie and bluegills.
Southern Alberta walleye opener is May 8th every year. I love slip bobber fishing.
Im pumped for open water season too. My first walleye this season was 25.25"
