It is particularly useful and inspiring for a humble enthusiast like me ;-) This concept of Time Traveller is looking for putting the same character in different situations if I get it right. I do see the travel dimension with the different locations but cannot really get the point about "time". Could you explain it a bit more? Best regards, "Fullframepix"

Thanks very much for watching. So the Time Traveller is a character I’ve invented. The beauty of fiction is that if you say they can travel through time then that’s what they can do. However I get that he doesn’t seem to be showing different obvious times he’s travelled to in my images. I will work on that.

Hi Frankie, I don’t use any special SD card. Just a high speed Sandisk of some sort

Hey Paul, I really like your general approach and the time traveller project shows some nice images. As for the street stuff….I don’t get the meaning of taking pictures of people walking in the street with a coffee cup in their hands or stuff like that. What is that good for? But that might just be me.

I hear you! I do! To be honest I’m a little bored of them myself. However taking street images of people going about their everyday lives on the streets is relevant. We look back at images of people with newspapers on a subway and think wow! The way people dressed in a hats and peak caps and think it’s amazing. But those seemed nothing special at the time either. Current styles and ways of life may mean little especially to those of us that see this as mundane. Whilst others from other countries marvel at the difference in the streets from their own. It is street photography. Even if it’s a document of the everyday life of today on the streets. That doesn’t make it documentary photography. It’s still street. Of course there’s hope that something makes an image more special. 90% of the street images I show on here wouldn’t make it into my book. But there’s usually one that I love from a day. The rest may be more special in 20 years time. Only time will tell.

How much editing do you do on the monochrome files? Could you show some straight out of camera stuff as a comparison?

The monochrome files are absolutely awful straight out of camera. Think of them like digital negatives. They’re flat, grey and many have sold their monochrome sensor cameras on day one. So there’s a lot of editing goes in to every image.
