First the announcer. The songlist from DDR X they're coming from DDR supernova 2. The other problem is also because the DDR X American cabins came out terrible and Konami did not respond to give support. In my country, Colombia, 3 machines arrived and it was never possible to solve the issue.
@@charleyx55 I'm not sure what happened to the cabinets, but I'll say this, holy hell the announcer was ANNOYING. Overzealous, never shuts up, it was actually annoying to play
i got this version of DDRX, and believe me, is really worth it!!!! i spend hours playing it and i still don't get bored, well, except for street master mode xD
That's the sad part, and that still makes X the most accurate conversion of an JP arcade to an American console release EVER. Again, look at DDR Max, Max2, Extreme, SN1 and 2 (all US ver.) and compare them to their japanese arcade versions. Pretty much every song in X-american PS2 IS available on X JP arcade, while Extreme US (for example) makes you believe that Kick the Can and Neverending Story are in DDR Extreme AC.
But then again... So many nice Japanese songs, new KOs that I don't have the patience to wait for in the next mix XD And so many classics that haven't been featured in anything above 8th Mix, so playing them and editing them using the more updated X engine would be awesome. Plus I'm SO making a freestyle for SP-TRIP MACHINE ~Jungle Mix~ (SMM Special) ^_^
It's quite funny you're making that statement on this video, since DDRX (US ver.) was the most accurate conversion of a Japanese DDR game to this date.
Yeah it still got some differences but they are minor compared to what they have done with other games. Look at DDRMAX or Extreme (both US) and compare them with their japanese counterparts. They make X look almost like a perfect adaptation of the japanese version.
I find it weird that this version got Wine Red but not Put 'Em Up, yet the arcade got Put 'Em Up and not Wine Red, and the US CS was the only one to get Hero (2008 X-Edit) so far. I also find it interesting that many of the revivals are from 2MB. A pretty good list overall, but I am interested to hear what in love wit you sounds like.:)
@TheOneBlueNinja I know. there are only so many paranoia remixes which you can stand. there all the same anyway, just the same paranoia stock sounds with a faster and "evil-er" beat.
Yeah, but the MAIN Series and Ports Aracdes that was released Only on PlayStation Consoles from PS1 and PS2. (except the 2ndMIX and CLUB VERSiON that also was realased in Dreamcast in 2000) the DDR X JP was the last in Japan. It's a shame than not more DDR CS in US and JP for PS3 and PS4. No Real DDR X2 for PS3 in 2011 No DDR X3 vs 2ndMIX for PS3 in 2012/2013 No DDR Pack 2013 and 2014 for PS4 in 2014/2015 and No DDR A for PS4 in 2017/2018
Mr.AirbusX 340600 and that pisses me off . PS3 ddr in us keep getting delay Everytime til they finally released it. Japan supposed to get PS3 ddr too but they cancelled it
Has anyone other than me noticed that some of the songs in DDR X are Japanese and we enjoy them? I mean, people who aren't anime/vocaloid/etc. fans who already enjoy it. I mean the people who've never heard someone sing in Japanese?
ok i will tell you how, hl1auz already told me how the day i need it When you finish everything, you are missing Xmix5, PARANOiA MAX ~SMM Special~, SP-TRIP MACHINE ~SMM Special~ and Chance and Dice When you finish the last episode of Afro, go to story mode, because every character have an EX-EPISODE and clear this 4 ex-episodes and u get the songs: Xmix5 GUS episode EX PARANOiA MAX ~SMM~ BONNIE episode EX SP-TRIP MACHINE ~SMM~ RAGE episode EX Chance and Dice JULIO episode EX Hope it helps :D!
What model PS2 you running this on? For some reason I get a long lag between song samples when I switch between songs on the songwheel. Not sure if my PS2's laser is stuffed or not. Let me know if you can, cheers.
@foxxyforever Now that's what I'm talkin about! I think I'll suggest the use of DLC to them on the Wi-Fi enabled consoles... If they widened their demographic a little and remake the good old days, they'd be able to make a comeback with all these Music/Rhythm games blitzing the shelves ^_^
@timeparadox888 japans supernova and ddr festival and ddr extreme songs we get in the more recent songs Dance Dance Revolution from ddr extreme took 5 games to get overseas
The songs feel anemic, they don't have the same effect as techno or eurobeat. I get times have changed but most ddr players are fascinated by euro rave songs !
@SonicOrbit01 No kidding. It seems like every single DDR game has to have a remix of that damned song. I mean, it's good and all, but not THAT good. Hell, Butterfly is the most popular DDR song of all time, and I think they only remixed that one once. :/
Man... If you look at it this way, the JP version has more revivals than the US version, but the JP version pretty much only got like 10-15 new songs while the US version got ALOT of new songs... IS this a good thing or a bad thing? Idk really, but for the JP version to have that many revivals (to me) is pretty damn amazing, better than the US version IMO
@hsb17 Oh yeah believe me, Extreme US was a ruined DDR childhood right there. And obviously the arcade version would feature all of these songs considering it has songs from way back since the very first DDR game. But these PS2 ports should feature all the NEW songs. Not songs held back for a year and were already in the JP version of the PREVIOUS game.
I definitely want to get the US version first, mainly for the planet songs (considering the fact that I have the US SN2, that'll be my only chance of getting them, and Pluto and Relinquish), and of course the songs exclusive to the US X.
where I can get this game in Japanese for ps2, Might upload it to your server please, I appreciate you very much, I've been looking everywhere without success to get
I know this is kinda sudden.. but did u get the XMIX5 AND THE 2 OTHER SMM specials, becuzs i just downloaded and finished the story mode and sht and i didnt get em, i know it says in this comment u dont know but i touhght u would knew by now, im sorry if im rude just want to know how to unlock those songs. ty
OK songlist, but PARANOiA MAX in roulette (PN Max but with original PN steps) needs to come back and the planet song in this game lost its Expert chart (There is no Challenge choice, but attempting to play with the Expert choice brings up the Super Maniac or Challenge steps instead).
I don't think that'd work because it probably costs more money to license some of these songs to American audiences than we'd take by boycotting them. Plus, I don't even think they're making any more DDR games for the U.S. At least, not on the consoles that are on the market right now.
Thats a great idea but its almost impossible, especially on the Ps2. I think they should allow you to buy songs from past games on the wii version. The wii has the kind of hardware to do that and Konami would make much more money off of it!
Pretty cool tracklist! But come on... PARA -Respect- appears in JP mixes TWICE now, before even ONCE in a USA one? WTF?! -.- Plus, we miss Blue Rain and Ubertreffen?
@SonicOrbit01 Yeah, I pretty much facepalmed at that too. T_T Oh, and while I'm commenting...SIX PARANOIA REMIXES IN ONE GAME?!?! JESUS! What is it with Konami and that song?
+Ganulous Dont think so. Too many crossovers and not so much nee content. MAX 2 is better. Extreme is like DDR 2014 before 2014. (2014 was also a bunch of lazy crossovers too)
Japanese DDR is way better than American DDRs
In my opinion, I personally think the Japanese DDR Extreme had the best song list.
ISIchikaOrimura Agreed, 111 songs is definitely an iconic song line up.
Yes !!!!!!!!!!!🙈
it sure loads faster than the american version .-.
The Last DDR CS of The Main Series in Japan.
I never really understood why DRR X got so much hate. I mean, these songs were amazing!
Well the "Paranoia" and "Trip Machine" series are 'the' series that conveys DDR and keeps it alive, as far as I've learned.
6:03 This game is so caught up with the Konami Originals that old songs could be brought back
They did this with supernova2 as well
@@theriseoftony only on the Japanese version though, the North American version didn’t do that until DDR X2
Wine Red is one of my favorite songs here.
It's a shame it never made it to arcades
They should have never get rid of the DANCEMANIA licenses.
Yes, we need to get in touch with Konami's producers and get them to include -Respect- in the next US CS FINALLY!
Make it the 10.5th Anniversary XD
i got this version of DDRX, and believe me, is really worth it!!!! i spend hours playing it and i still don't get bored, well, except for street master mode xD
The announcer is offensive.
TAG Media you ain’t lying man, you ain’t lying
Why?
Enjoying the 1st/2nd Mix revivals :d
...the hell? Why do the Japanese games always have to have way better songs that don't come over here!?
Exactly.
ArcDargo maybe Japan just doesn't like to share they hoard all the good songs to themselves lol
This version no. I have played it and sucks. You can enjoy with paranoias and trip machine but the rest nothing. they are boring.
Licensing costs and complications.
Wtf are you talking? The song list is almost identical to the US version ya fucking weebs.
That announcer is the worst.
i would scrap dat announcer for tha Ultramix 2 Female announcer
X and later are when the announcer became shit
DDR 1st-5thMIX and DDRMAX-DDRSuperNOVA had the best announcer to me
懐かしい
The more Paranoia, the more chaotic awesomeness IMO
Especially RESPECT
:D
That's the sad part, and that still makes X the most accurate conversion of an JP arcade to an American console release EVER. What kind of super cool capture device do you use to get this beautiful quality?
cool this one has the classics
Dude why would these people give you a thumbs down I mean you are right after all. Hell ITG is better than DDR period.
In The Japanese PS2 version of DDR X, is the song Saber Wing available by Default?
I think so, it is on the North American PS2 version of DDR X, it was the first song I played when I got the game
This looks pretty cool, though Londell Hicks was a better announcer, IMO.
Wait, if Pluto and Pluto Relinquish are on Overcrush, why were they excluded from DDR X? I know they were in Supernova 2, but still.
Goldenblade14 always been like thst same with ddr hottest party courses
But then again... So many nice Japanese songs, new KOs that I don't have the patience to wait for in the next mix XD And so many classics that haven't been featured in anything above 8th Mix, so playing them and editing them using the more updated X engine would be awesome. ddr japan gets all the good stuff
It's quite funny you're making that statement on this video, since DDRX (US ver.) was the most accurate conversion of a Japanese DDR game to this date.
@IIDX7w34k574 No, the rating scale has expanded to 20, but there has yet to be a level 19 or 20 song.
日本版の方がXスタイル系が導入されていますね。海外版の方は諸事情でXスタイル系は削除され、
逆に他の音ゲーのKONAMI製品楽曲が導入されていますね。
日本版でエピックポエトリーをプレイしたかったな。
omg healing vision what the heck lol
this is the Japanese version.
They already got Pluto and such on SN2
Even Pluto The First isn’t on there as a replacement it appeared in the NA version of DDR X2
Yeah it still got some differences but they are minor compared to what they have done with other games. Look at DDRMAX or Extreme (both US) and compare them with their japanese counterparts. They make X look almost like a perfect adaptation of the japanese version.
Help!!! please tell me how to unlock Xmix5, and the 2 smm specials, I already finished the story mode with all the characters
O_O The song preview loads soooo much faster than US X
Man if max period was on the list it would be awesom X]
At least they fixed the unnecessary pause between selecting songs in this version
How do you unlock Waiting 4 u by DDT?
I seriously dropped a brick when I heard Polyrhythm in there. Perfume and DDR are a perfect pair.
Why are the Challenge steps on the 2008-X edit revival songs easier than the Expert ones?
I find it weird that this version got Wine Red but not Put 'Em Up, yet the arcade got Put 'Em Up and not Wine Red, and the US CS was the only one to get Hero (2008 X-Edit) so far. I also find it interesting that many of the revivals are from 2MB. A pretty good list overall, but I am interested to hear what in love wit you sounds like.:)
6:04 wtf
@TheOneBlueNinja I know. there are only so many paranoia remixes which you can stand. there all the same anyway, just the same paranoia stock sounds with a faster and "evil-er" beat.
dude seriously >_< its the last ddr release for consoles in japan ya know so it has more songs
DDRmanicAngel's Otaku World ^0^!!! Not exactly, MUSIC FIT (2010) for the Wii was the last Japanese console game as far as I can tell.
Yeah, but the MAIN Series and Ports Aracdes that was released Only on PlayStation Consoles from PS1 and PS2. (except the 2ndMIX and CLUB VERSiON that also was realased in Dreamcast in 2000)
the DDR X JP was the last in Japan.
It's a shame than not more DDR CS in US and JP for PS3 and PS4.

No DDR Pack 2013 and 2014 for PS4 in 2014/2015

no pluto or pluto relinquish? sog list is very very similar to US version
I wish they revived Max 300, Maxx Unlimited, and The Legend of Max with the other old songs
ok i will tell you how, hl1auz already told me how the day i need it
When you finish everything, you are missing Xmix5, PARANOiA MAX ~SMM Special~, SP-TRIP MACHINE ~SMM Special~ and Chance and Dice
When you finish the last episode of Afro, go to story mode, because every character have an EX-EPISODE and clear this 4 ex-episodes and u get the songs:
Xmix5 GUS episode EX
PARANOiA MAX ~SMM~ BONNIE episode EX
SP-TRIP MACHINE ~SMM~ RAGE episode EX
Chance and Dice JULIO episode EX
Hope it helps :D!

what's the song by pink lemonade called? i've heard it somewhere before..
This song list makes me glad to live in America. Also, the Xmixes don't even make sense in this one, since half their components aren't in the game.
Well yes the Xmixes are included in the North American version
This version of DDR X, in the North American version some of the songs are in DDR X2

The JP version of DDR Supernova 2 got Pluto/Pluto Relinquish though!
Should I get DDR X or DDR Supernova(/2)?
Or what DDR should I get? o.o
reply pls ;)
Pluto was from SuperNOVA 2 in Japan.
is there a way 2 have both the Japanese and U.S Version of the game at the same time?
Without them, DDR would not be DDR.

I definitely want to get the US version first, mainly for the planet songs (considering the fact that I have the US SN2, that'll be my only chance of getting them, and Pluto and Relinquish), and of course the songs exclusive to the US X.
I think its because they wanted to put a couple of easy songs that could introduce shock arrows
Why does your console charge so fast the music samples on this DDR and the mine so slow? =/
where I can get this game in Japanese for ps2, Might upload it to your server please, I appreciate you very much, I've been looking everywhere without success to get

Greetings from Chile
in Japan, those 2 songs appeared on SuperNOVA2
That's it? Damn... Nothing to see here. Moving on.
wow, u have all songs, how much hours u play?
They were in SN2 JP.
awesome revivals. Afronova Primeval is at least a 13. lol PS is a 14. I'm sure the 18 foot PARANOiA will be lulzy

what the song after breakerz
but hey do the combos change color based off how you're doing?
This is different then the American one you don't need to do Street Master Mode to unlock all the songs
i cannot decide witch is better between DDR X(JP) or DDR Extreme(JP)...? (T_T)
IMO, DDR Extreme is far superior to this.
Ganulous I'm guessing because of the lack of j-pop/k-pop?
The boss songs in Extreme are just way better and there are way more of them. And yes, the j-pop and k-pop does make a difference.
