Either Paul or Franck need to make that long trip to Canadia, land of the Linus Tech Tips to both check out Linus' HA setup, and to promote HA so that manufacturers learn, if they want to be in the business of home automation and domotics, they need to support HA first. It's summer. Now is the time. Why not make the next release party from Toronto for some of you? Bonus points if there's a 15 minute questions-and-answers-with-Linus to flesh out real-life wants. (The GE/Jasco Fiasco was already solved thanks to his channel!)
@1:15:00 can't wait for Python 3.12 to get even more fasterer. I've already noticed the performance optimizations (and the wonderful nested exception tracebacks!) in 3.11, and it's amazing. Thanks for adding typing information to HA all over the place. It really does help navigate around the source code and improve the quality of the internal API for us integration developers.
The custom board he’s talking about at 33:20 was literally me texting him asking “hey how hard would this be?” An hour later he sent me a PCB design for review. 😂
It would be great if you could put some effort into restoring a backup onto a new system… that has never worked for me and it never tells me why. I now just backup the whole VM and don’t rely on the built in backup tools. I’ve been a Linux Sys admin for almost 25 years so there isn’t a problem between the keyboard and my chair 😂
Thanks, you guys, for all the hard work. Keep the ball rolling so that you stay on top!
Great job guys!!!

Actually, maybe Linus can -- maybe he /should/ -- pay for that plane trip.
Again great update. Thank you!

I love how passionate/addicted Keith is to hacking around on ESPs. He's not alone...

How come my system doesn't have Storage even I've upgraded the release?
My Version number changed, but no new Features looks same as version 2023.5...
and now it works weird started working after I used Phone app
Interesting I have supervisor but I get "The operating system does not support network storage
Network storage is not supported on this host"
It never stops amaze me that all this is about home automation and guys play with toys, not DIN-rail devices and actuators that homes are made of.
