Chemistry Revamped E02 | Nanobots part 1: Materials & Structure

  • In this chapter, we’ll be covering how and why different types of bonds play a role in nanobot design. We pick up from last time on how interfering orbitals gives rise to molecular orbitals and hybridization. And, how those two play a role in defining the geometry and range of motion for molecules, which plays a huge role in chemical reactions - especially in organic chemistry. We also briefly touch on the other two types of bonds, ionic and metallic, and how the latter plays a role in computers and electronics as we know it. Next time, we’ll cover intermolecular forces & self-assembly, and how it impacts biology
    This series is heavily inspired by 3Blue1Brown’s intuitive explanation style, and I want to be able to create a similar style of content for Chemistry as well.
