I've actually wondered about your screen problem for a while (since it's been alluded to in other videos). My first thought was to tension the screen somehow, but it seems like a lot of work for little reward. The solution you came up with here is really good in its simplicity. The rigid plastic ensures the screen doesn't bow from gravity in the middle, and cutting the screens small help prevent problems with warping inherent to the manufacturing process. My only concern would be if the screening started out rolled, it might be bowed as part of the storage, but you seemed to avoid the problem, fortunately.
Seeing a solution like this makes me wonder if perhaps there's a consumer application to this process: imagine being able to buy lettuce at the store that's STILL GROWING. No refrigeration required!

Hey Jeb, have you ever tried growing Saffron in hydroponics? Can it be done??
Plant more densely ? Maybe if you had a fan and cut the side of the tray by 3 inch...
Plants need good aeration, you're asking for disease problems and rot.
That second setup was doom to not work, have you not grown hydroponics long enough to realize that?
