Before 2021 I have never been to a Freedom of Entry Parade. In 2021 I performed at two: The City Band that Zempilas mentioned at 22:12, and at the Bayswater SES Freedom of Entry into Bayswater marching with the Perth Firefighters Band.
The RAN was originally the Australian Squadron of the Royal Navy, Hearts of Oak was the service march up until the 1980s. While Lithgow's march Royal Australian Navy is now the service march there is no reason why Hearts of Oak might not still be played if the Bandmaster or DOM decides to, as long as it not for the official march past. They often play Anchors aweigh do they not? That is the branch of service march of the US Navy, written by a German. @@Quokka666

Please bring back the "Heart of Oak"
THE Heart of Oak is a RBN song not a RAN song
