The sucker cogs in the Agricultural Industrial Complex here are as screwed as the rest of us. Grain shortages everywhere and the poor suckers are being paid $340 a ton for their grain, down from last years $400 a ton.

for some yes also disabilities, social assistance people who do not meet the criteria for disabilities but are disabled things like PTSD fibromyalgia autoimmune issues mental health that kind of stuff. for Reference in BC for a single parent the Shelter portion of a check is still $325 its been that much for a couple decades then they bring it up to $1200 to include food heat phone internet clothes everything else. Its somewhat difficult to find a home for $325 a month. Because you get assistance you are ineligible for any other program like rental assistance etc if you make money on top if that you must report it and they deduct it from your check they did recently stop deducting your GST returns and Income tax refunds though so it helps them a bit. Trudeau made a big deal about how he was helping families it sounded awesome on the news but when it got to the parents it was 50cents a check but he was the hero on tv :)
