    The problem with block is that it’s way too predictable (especially with knuckles) not only that, sometimes it does not even work (bad hitbox, activating after being hit or downed…)

      Sometimes block "doesn't work" because of the way Outlaik designed block. I'll avoid the boring long speech of scripting but everytime you block, your client plays the blocking animation but it isn't active in the server yet. Your client tells the server you're blocking and the server validates it. It isn't instant and take some time for the server to validate and actually activate the block due to ping. Outlaik made it that way to feel more responsive but it also make it feel like the block didnt work

      Don’t forget lag can happen which will suck for either side, correction the hit boxes are jank af so that also doesn’t help

There were times that I DID block, but sonic still hits me even if I did it 0.1 seconds earlier, thus why I rarely use knuckles now because sometimes it doesn't work (Because of your explanation), it's even harder against a laggy player.

      Ik im a knuckles main and argue with this but this move makes it to where players will waste it and make people cocky like trying to block when pretending to be afk like i just walk up to you don’t attack then your open for a grab or slash

    Honestly, i love block. Just being able to deny and punish an overeager stunner or that tails who's been too much of a pain is a fantastic thing. Also, it's easy to bait out, and Kolossus can't attack during it. Add in his big hitbox and slow speed, and you can bully him for failing the block. It's good risk-reward.

      ​@Looona_fan here's a good tip: shoot at him while he's chasing another survivor, and make sure characters like shadow and metal are still alive so they can knocback kolossus without risking the block activation. Plus, here's one big thing, most Kolossus players ignore their block in general because they don't understand the use. Even when there is one who does, it's not that hard to beat on him since the millisecond he is out of the animation (which isn't long) you can stun him again.

      He can block after metal has pushed him, and the delay allows Kolossos to know when to block.
      Plus, what you said only supports my idea that block sucks, because if half the playerbase doesn't know how to use it, or even cares about using it, then it's the worst ability in the game. It sucks to use, it sucks to fight against, it sucks that it does nothing against half the cast, and it sucks that it exists in the first place.

      So yes, Block has many flaws, but there's many benefits.
      1. It's ability to combo.
      See, whenever you block survivors like Knuckles, you can get a quick attack in. However, one must do this wisely as you can be stunned again or blocked by Knuckles or any other stunner.
      2. How short the block animation is.
      This one is a double-edged sword. On one hand, I have absolutely destroyed Amy and Knuckles players who got too greedy with their stuns and picked them off because the animation is really short. Now, I have noticed it might be slower against ranged stuns, which is a slight downside, but nothing major. However, such a short animation means you can get stunned again.
      3. Countering the annoying survivors.
      The characters Kolossus can block are the ones who are very annoying to deal with. Have you seen a good knuckles or Amy? Don't forget, Metal and Tails can be the bane of your existence as much, or even more. But blocking can help throw them off since, as stated before, most Kolossus players don't block. When it does happen, it gives him a chance to quickly rid of them. The only exception is if the ranged stunner is too far, since they can get away, or if said ranged stunner is gonna fly off.
      4. It can be hard to notice.
      Sometimes, in the heat of the match, you may not even notice he's blocking. It's happened before where someone wasn't paying attention and was blocked and killed due to their overeagerness. This even applies to ranged stunners as you might be too far to notice the block animation and waste your ability and watch your teammate die of death.
      What I've noticed is that Block isn't a move you can power through teams with. Like Knuckles' block, you have to be patient and play mind games with the survivors, which most people don't do. Now yes, Block may not work against most of the cast, but they are easier to pick off due to their predictably at times. This doesn't make Block worse, it just means you have to think and plan it out carefully, as it can be as much of a pain for the survivors as it can be for you.
      All in all, I know we won't agree, but can we at least agree to disagree? (My one braincell has been fried writing this.)

      ​@Derpo._. Funnily enough, I'm a Silver main. Despite him having a regular stun, it's so easy to bait a Kolossos player into using it. It's low cooldown an instantaneous firing speed allows Silver to bait a Kolossos player with block almost entirely, and since my danger time while playing him is usually between 80-120, I can cause a lot of problems for the killer. Unless the Kolossos player knows exactly when I'm about to do it, orb being blocked isn't really much of a problem for me, which goes back to the whole, "Does nothing against some players and cripples others," thing I said towards the end of the video.
      But you are right about some of the things you said, and you seem to be dead set on defending the ability, so like you said, we can just agree to disagree.

      It’s so sad to see my Tails shot clips just stop after the 1.2 update. It’s amusing how Outlaik gives Tails a delay even though a lot of Tails mains are known for missing their shots, even in the near early days of TD

      Genuine skill issue. (lol, not really, it’s a pretty drastic change.) Seriously, though, you just gotta practice. It’s not too hard to hit shots, I can usually hit them after warming up about 60% - 70% of the time, and from _very_ far away, too.

      my gold eras with Tails was when he was on 1.2 alpha where he had no delay. Plus i kinda liked the blocky designs a bit more. Now his face feels so . round? idk it just feels off

      Was able to actually main Tails and hit my shots from across the map now… can’t even hit exe while he’s walking in zig zags a literal 20 studs in front of me (Mobile player)

    I barely use Kolossos anymore (easily the worst Killer, plus EXE and Tails Doll are just more fun), but when I did or rarely do now, Block is super fun to screw over Knuckles and Amy players. Otherwise it's just kinda whatever, as there's Survivors who don't have offensive abilities like Cream and Sally or just straight-up have unblockable moves like Blaze's entire moveset. Still kinda weirded out that Grapple is the only ability that has a unique interaction with Block too, like there's tons of opportunities. Like Kolossos throwing Amy's hammer behind him if he blocks Hammer Attack/Throw or pushing Shadow over if he blocks Homing Attack like how Knuckles gets knocked over if he blocks Charge.

      Dude, kolossos needs a NERF! he’s stupid good, and I hate it! I hate being 2 shot by some big ahh hitbox, and the ‘nerf’ he got increased his cooldown by 0.3 seconds, which is barely noticeable, they need to nerf kolossos since he’s so boring to fight against if a good player gets ahold of him

    i swear this isnt just me but the already fine hitboxes of almost every stun were definitely made smaller, because when theres a stun that should hit, but its just a damn pixel off, it wont hit. and sometimes they dont hit at all
    also i wanna mention i usually forget that the block exists and i tend to not use the grab on low hp players, since its technically just a shorter lunge with a higher chance of them actually living if their teammates are near

    My favorite part about blocking is when me (a knuckles main) and kollo share one singular braincell and both block at the same time, and then both proceed to miss our attacks at the same time

    Block primarily affects 3 survivor moves to oblivion and does practically nothing else. Incredible game design.

    I think the block should have different variations for certain moves like grapple.
    For instance, if Kolossos blocks Hammer throw, Kolossos can bait out roll and instantly hit Amy (I’ve done it before).
    I think a way to fix this is that Kolossos should grab the hammer and then chuck it away so that it cant be easily camped.

    I think tails still needs a rework, and a new ability, maybe like a landmine or a mid-close range grenade that stuns. Because as you mentioned, tails is kinda underpowered. And if you don’t shoot exactly at the exe, especially the bullet goes through the exe, they don’t get stunned, making you have to wait. As a tails main, it’s so annoying watching the bullet just.. phase through the exe even if it’s not a direct shot.
    Tails’ fly ability is pretty good, but it’s just the canon.
    The canon is the only way for tails to come of use besides distracting, and if you don’t have an eggman on the team to help out, you pretty much have to know when and how to stun the exe, and nothing to do whike you wait for the cooldown to pass. So that’s why I feel like tails should have another ability, because he also only has two abilities, and fly doesn’t do anything but propel you into the air.
    I also think tails’ gun stun length should depend on WHERE it is shot.
    Sorry if I sound biased, I just think tails is underpowered and deserves another ability and a bit of a rework, especially with the hitbox.
    The delay also pisses me off so much, but I don’t really want it to be removed, because it doesn’t need to be. Because again, it’s about prediction.

    Block is a good ability in my opinion, if you didn’t know. Block can block metals grapple ability, and I learned that yesterday.
    It’s helpful for metal sonic mains.

      If you successfully block the grapple, you can turn it into a grab or a free hit easily, if the metal sonic player is unprepared or they already used push and comboing with push + grapple.

    I honestly think that Miles's laser cannon SHOULD stun based on where it hits instead of 3 second stun everywhere, OR the kollosos block only blocks where the laser shoots. (Like the head for both, kollosos's block only blocks the the chest, or the stun ver. 5 seconds instead of the 3 second stun for the chest)

      ıf there is no delay i swear more ppl will play as Tails. I mean Kolosos or idk has his block, Tails Doll can fly and Sonic.exe can just turn invisile where all of them can be countered the no-delay shots.

    as a knux and metal main, (i am a heavy front liner type player and often sacrifice to during final 80 to help my teammates)
    i do not like the fact knuckles hitbox now shrinks when blocking.
    it needs to either stay the same or be bigger, considering its easy to juke and punish, and it is very situational to make it actually useful.
    as for tails, he needs insta shot back, or at the very least slightly longer flight time.
    And tails doll casually negates tails' entire existence with flight alone.

    Tails’ arm cannon getting blocked isn’t realistic either because that laser beam will burn that flesh stick with spikes along with a claw. If anything they should increase the cooldown when something like that happens.
    Also eggmans shock was mostly on the floor so how does kolossos block that? Along with silver too because silver has an orb that does aoe and not centered attack which will spread around the body so also how does that get blocked with no disadvantage to kolossos

    And the worst part the stuns it can block use a lot of skill to land. Once I landed my hammer throw at kolososs it was pretty far away and all he had to do is block it.

    I get your points but block is more about decreasing punishment on you rather than giving you and advantage it pairs well with kolossus's design of being "slow and heavy exe"(even tho hes not slow at all)

      1.) Just like you said, he's not slow.
      2.) I got by with him just fine in 1.1, and I never thought he needed a block.
      3.) If you make stupid mistake, you should be punished for it.

      Actually, Kolossos is really slow to play as. He has a long attack cooldown, and gives a huge speed boost on hit. Compare that to Sonic.EXE, where you can easily down a full health survivor who’s separated from their team in about 20 seconds. Seriously, Kolossos and Tails Doll are _not_ fun to play for me, and it’s solely because of their attack cooldowns and survivor speed boosts on hit.

    The 0.2 second delay on tail’s arm cannon really sucks, instead of having to just click on the exe, you have to click WHERE the exe is going to be, which is extremely hard to do since lots of exe’s don’t walk in straight lines, after 1.1 tails is a character that I wouldn’t recommend new players to use since they will get frustrated missing their shots.

      @rodrigomusicman1871 I agree, though I think Kolossos' kit was rushed. Outlaik put out a poll a week prior asking his discord if the exes were too boring, which most of them said they were. His original kit was just going to be small exe, but with grab and a different main attack, he was even gonna have decoys and everything. But yeah, I agree. It is really impressive how Outlaik and his playtesters didn't notice any of the MANY bugs big exe had

    The problem with block is the fact that most of the character can stun or push kolossos where if one person use blaze or metal you pretty much can do anything because of the endless stun and people will just combo you like blaze even if you stun like Amy hammer attack she can still stun you with her hammer spin and hammer throw plus you can only block one out of everyone's attack from every match while being combo so it's pretty much pointless if there is people who constantly stun you also even if you get a block people can still stun you because of how many there are tails arm cannon knuckles punch Amy all hammer abilities shadow ability blaze metal most of them making it so useless you can even block eggman zapper making you so slow for people to stun you again so what I think is that maybe the developer add a new ability for kolossos

      @Looona_fan sorry it was just about how useless the block is when getting combo by some specific survivors like metal and blaze and it sometimes help survivors combo you because of the decrease of the stun when getting blocked and when I used to main him I never really used the block since it will just be pointless if people are just going to combo you

    I mean, The 0.2 delay is useful, Cuz its only useable for a 3 second count hit on Sonic.Exe, Kolossos & Tails Doll. But once they get up, its targetable if your on your last life. So Its best if Outlaik kept the 0 delay and fast shot, it made tails more mainable.
    Kolossos block has terrible hitbox. Cuz its a replica of Knuckle's block which is also which is also a bit bad, But it has some hits. But its not really reactable.

    ideas for tails: 1 drop dash can only be used in the air and is a worse spindash but you don't need to charge it the longer the airtime the better the dash 2: dodge tails gets ready to dodge there is no indication other then a slightttttt slow down if tails dodges he will follow up with a counter attack where he quickly charges the cannon to shoot the exe in his head this stuns for 3.5 seconds and blurs the exes vision or he could yaknow just dodge without doing anything flashy other than a speed buff if that sounds too Simler to knux

      @@Looona_fan these are just fun lil ideas i came up with so tails has a way of defending himself and also if he had 4 ability's he would be uncatchable but im talking about how tails could have been i still think arm canon is still the best idea outlaik could've came up with but something like my dodge idea can make it so if you get targeted for landing your shots at least you'll have a back up as for the dropdash that is wayyy too op to be in the game anyways i hope you liked my idea :D

      Yeah. Kolossos is my least favorite killer because to me, he is not fun to play as, or against. I think block is a terrible ability for him because it rips off Knuckles, and makes him way too op.

      Block is only problematic against characters who can get blocked (Like the video said). It's more of how fast you can block (10 seconds is too low) because a good kolossos will just keep blocking any blockable abilities with ease, it should be increased to 25 seconds to make his block more punishing/what abilities that are worth blocking (Ex: Knuckles' Punch, Silver's orb is the lowest priority). I have more problems of his jump height though, it acts as a secondary block for me. But Kolossos struggles on good teams so that's that.

      @Looona_fan I meant like, his entire moveset is built around high damage but slow and vulnerable attacks.
      His base attack's high cooldown and slowness, grab's short range, and charge going into walls, along with his naturally slow speed make him vulnerable to entering stun chains.
      The thing is, Sonic.Exe is the exact opposite, his abilities are fast, have low cooldowns get him away and to survivors fast, and bait abilities.
      It's the different playstyles that work between them, and why I don't like tails doll.

    Hey, maybe you still remember me from the other td video. With the thing with tails, the slight delay and sonic.exe with the small body, made people really hate on tails. Maybe the arm cannon is still useful for kollosos, bc he moves a little slower and has a larger body, but with the slight delay of the ability, you really need to time your shots. Causing people to be a little too happy when they hit the shots. And the block of knux, its just hard to land it anyway. With more experienced players will know exactly when your gonna use it.

      There’s no reason to even play Tails anymore. He’s _completely_ overshadowed by Eggman. He has turrets, _and_ a slightly easier to hit gun, with an effect that doesn’t potentially disrupt other players plans.

    i feel like how to buff tails arm cannon: when (krolos or how ever you spell his name im not fully gonna spell that bc im lazy) grabs tails and his arm cannon is ready to be shot he can use it to charge up and blast a small explosion pushing exe and tails back as tails take like five damage giving him a small speed boost but also arm cannon now takes longer to recharge as tails can only use it once and never can use it again OR when normal Sonic.exe is charging to tails with spin dash if he can shoot sonic.exe in his roling form when exe is not charging he can be boosted back a bit while tails can still have his normal cool down on arm cannon Now for tails doll when tails doll uses his little scratch bleed out thing (i forgot what its called im sorry) when tails is done charging his arm cannon he can parry the scratch and shoot tails doll away a little distance
    thats all i gotta say to buff tails ORRRR we can have kunckles be near tails when tails is charging up his arm cannon and exe wants to cancel his arm cannon kunckles can block exe attack to let tails to charge up then shoot exe to stun him some more
    also buff normal exe a little add like five more damage to him please

    Im really good at knuckles block, because I have this intuition whenever I'm about to get hit so if I'm being chased I'll walk in a predictable pattern that way exe can catch on and i can force a block without them catching on, but sometimes people are tryhards and don't even attack me until I block so it's kind of anoyying

    Thank you, someone who finally made an actual vid on this stupid ability and why it has so many problems, and i still see people defending this wack ass ability and it makes me so sad as a tails main since 1.0, and i've also grown to not care for the shot delay as much but the block ability makes me feel so useless on my team and it sucks, but pre 1.2 was when i feel like tails was at his peak, but im genuinely okay with this iteration of tails, but it's literally just kolossos that irritates me honestly from his stupid ass grab hitboxes, all the way down to his block ability, and i honestly just ignore the people who say that tails is one of the worst characters in the game because i don't feel like any character is inherently bad, but kolossos is definitely a big factor into why i always get a sick feeling playing any ranged type of stunner, and I've never really liked kolossos anyways as whole

      @@Looona_fan the Problem with block is that it's quite predictable and Characters like Amy will use They're Semi-Super Stuns before they're Normal Stuns and also Block doesn't allow Kolossos to attack or use his other abilities (Which is Great because it would be broken) which could be problematic in some situations like when a character like Knuckles for an Example is about to escape through a warp ring or exit door

      @@__ena__ If that's happening, then you don't have a skill issue, you have an internet issue.
      As for the basics, the only advice I can really provide is to be really fast with your attacks. Have jerky movements and rarely hold down your attacks.

    Nah bro, glide became useless when they added tails doll cuz tell me why my teammate got killed mid air. Also, the "click on exe" aiming system made an average tails player useful. Not all of tails players are pros and sell A LOT. So yeah, he kinda needs a big buff, but I see where you're coming from.

    Honestly, Kolossos and Tails Doll really don’t compare to Sonic.EXE. Kolossos gives a huge speed boost when someone’s hit, and he has a long attack cooldown. Tails doll, while better on the attack cooldown part, still gives a long speed boost. Sonic.EXE has a really low attack cooldown, and barely gives a speed boost. If you play right, you can _very_ easily down somebody at 100 health in under about 15 - 20 seconds. I don’t really enjoy playing Kolossos and Tails Doll, because they feel so slow to play as. But with Sonic.EXE, I can usually kill a team of 4 - 5 in about 150 seconds into a round.

      Speed is a _huge_ factor, of course it matters. Honestly, I’d say speed is more important than damage here. I _ALWAYS_ do better with Sonic.EXE than Kolossos, and it’s mostly because of attack speed and the survivor speed boost. And, while it’s true the hitbox helps, that doesn’t matter when you can fake swing to get a survivor to jump, and almost immediately swing again and hit them.

    I believe that block should be replaced with "glide" heres how it would work.
    I believe that glide could be activated while in mid air, maps like You Can't Run, and Kind & Fair would be VERY good maps for glide as they have high velocity, and large map layouts in general.
    Now, when activated, the user would be able to see a small bar at the bottom of the screen. Now, this bar would drain faster the more you fly, if the bar is filled a bit by the time you hit a wall, the user would be able to climb the wall (up and down) for more versatility. Now obviously, the user wouldn't be able to stick to the wall forever, instead they'd fall down after around 10 seconds.
    This could be used as a method of escaping or simply bating the exe.
    Now, since block is SO PREDICTABLE, i believe that glide would be a much better replacement.

      Very true. But yes, I do think Kolossos has an advantage with his block especially when his block lasts longer than knuckles. Quite annoying, even when it comes to movement for Kolo n' stuff, he maintains quite a bit of speed when blocking.

      Here's the problem: Not everyone can practice it/casuals/Doesn't like how it's designed. Outlaik wanted the arm cannon delay to not make tails broken, but that idea backfired because it's designed on a private server where the players are ACTUALLY skilled. What about the ones who just started the game? What about the casuals who likes playing as tails?
      This is why I shifted to Eggman after the zapper was added, and I tell you this: It's still HARD to land a hit even without the delay, and you need to hit it as early as possible because the down time for zapper is just 8 seconds (For tails, it's 15). What if your teammate NEEDS that assistance immediately? Without that 3 second stun, they will risk getting hit/downed.
      I see the point of being patient on shooting to hit shots, but the problem is that, you can't, in a game where speed is king. One second is enough to screw over your health/someone else. If you can't hit those shots consistently, you're basically just a sitting duck without any contributions to your team. You're MEANT to save lives from afar, and quick as possible.
      Let's go back to Eggman. Eggman is the perfect example that you don't need a delay to make a weapon balanced without being broken. If you put the zapper and the arm cannon in between, the zapper gun will be more favored than the arm cannon, why? It's more consistent, and the slowdown allows opportunities to land an easier stun or even letting a teammate get away, forcing exe's to use a mobility that may punish them even more (Kolossos may charge to a worser position, small exe risks stuns by standing still trying to spindash, and tails doll's flight is being forced to use).

    Ok don’t get me wrong kolossos block is still really situational but the thing is it’s more of a play a while and pay attention to how other people play and you get the reward kind of ability also just remembered that if people stun lock you with metals push you can block the first hit and surprise them then get a quick attack off

    After having watched, I'm here to give my opinion.
    Tails can cancel his shot and opt to use glide to waste Brute's time.
    Grab is more unfun to be hit by as it's treated as Brute's secondary attack rather than the "Sometimes hehe funni" it once was. (Common TD players waste their stuns all at once, nobody holds onto one just incase)
    Brute in general is overtuned due to how the game evolved, how stunners changed and so on.
    Lastly, block on Brute feels useless to me...both against and as, since I've put time into using the character's nature against the human psyche and furthermore, I rarely play Brute...Speed Demon/TD are much more fun.
    TLDR: Use your heads and suddenly, block is a mild inconvience and not a problem...this game has enough mindless cannon fodder, lets help people get better at the game instead, this game is awesome.

    you know anytime I play Kolossos I do forget to use his block also don't really see a lot of people use block anyways for Kolossos might be just me. I think they should just get rid of block or make it work for a few more characters. Also tails can't bait out blocks but I don't really use him from a close range and I don't think Kolossos is really going to be focused on tails while chasing another survivor far away even if he does use block it kind of wastes some time and lets the survivor kinda get away.

    So here is my opinion, first the worst ability is spindash, it’s just not reliable as many have just ran off the cliff when trying to hit, but it’s the least reliable compared to other exes, now for block, Kolossos is a really amazing character if used right but what about its block ability?……. It is fine on its own but this can stop grapple, amy and knux attack with tails too, it is still reliable unlike spindash which is much more countered. Now for knux I think outlaik is right and wrong. They nerfed his block so sonic can kill hum much easier, but it can come in clutch where you know when the exe is preparing to attack, even if they try to bait punch can be used right after to hit or have the frames to ignore the attacks. Now this is my opinion but yea, block a like a d tier ability as I don’t use it much but does come in handy when the time comes. Note: when u said that you can’t bait block is wrong, amy can hammer spin and it doesn’t have a cd for hammer throw and land it, knux can punch right after, but tails yea umm u just got to pray thst u learn his movement or your so cooked.

      Kolossos's block has no skill ceiling, only works on half the cast, and has a single use, and said use is infuriating.

    Its been a while since i've played on ps5 so can you actually chat on console? also tails has to be one of the worst characters now. In any solo situation he is always at a big disadvantage, all the exe's can counter tails in some way. Sonic.exe can just go invisible when tails charges up cannon(the invisibility lasts 20s and he can use decoys while arm cannon lasts 15s). Kolossus can just block the shot or if tails glides away after landing the shot he can just charge there . Tails doll's fly literally neuters tails's tails since fly is faster significantly and also is hard to predict unless the exe is braindead, even juking him in the air wont save you since the cd for tails's glide is 30s and tails doll's fly is 15s. Also if you actually glided to a good spot thats going to only give a seconds at best since the exe can fly there or use a ladder and unless the exe is doing climbing ladders, on a bridge chasing someone if the exe has a single functioning neuron in their head they can just do a small amount of juking and make it way harder to predict.     Wait block now can countet stun? When i use it just lower stun duration except for Metal Sonic it just pull him closer to me.
    Within block he cannot make it like that like he counter the attack like with Amy he grabbed her hammer and throw it away something like that after you do a successful counter It Go on a longer cooldown

      I would say that block counters hammer throw, because now you have just wasted your stun, and Kolossos is coming straight at you, giving you no time to try and pick up the hammer.

      I feel like the her shields should give disadvantages when broken like fire shield shifts their screen or blurs it a bit like rouge’s land mine thingy and bubble gives exe ability more cooldown a bit so she gets a chance or the survivor she’s shielding to run or fight back and normal shield slows exe down and gives a speed boost to the survivor she’s shielding only but not on her self because then she would be too op
