If you want to up your productions then there's no better way to do that than by adding some cinematic camera movement. You can do it in various ways. Camera dolly, steadicams, camera cranes, etc. But the easiest and cheapest way is by using a camera slider. Here is a great one that I use from Konova.

jamesrules1234567899 a slider allows you to do a lot more precise and slower camera movements. Glidecam or steadicams are better for faster moving shots that don't have to be so exact.

Tom Antos how did you just adjust the manfrotto head for that crane shot? or you changed the head. Thank you for this video. Very helpful for my upcoming purchase.

Im using the K3. If it rocks back and forth then you need to adjust the tension of the two rollers. Just take off the top of the slider where the attachment for the camera screw is. Then use the tool that comes with the slider to adjust the tension till there is no movement

Thanks Tom! I have the slider and have been looking for a quicker way to set it up. I hate threading light stands into the holes every time, so it'll be nice to try it with the quick release plates on those Dolicas. Good review!

I read that the K2 was significantly cheaper and that the only difference was that it had 3, instead of 4 ball bearings. Hve you tried it? Which one would you recommend?

Hi Tom, Very well review as always. Quick question, would that be ok if I use Dolica Proline tripod for my videos and use Manfrotto MVH500AH Fluid Video Head? Can I get the same steady shot with this tripod? I have Canon 60D and using Tamron 24-70mm 2.8f (quite heavy lens) Can you please suggest some good quality tripod legs or tripods? Thank you

Hi Tom, Can Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod carry the weight of this slider (100cm) ? Can you please suggest some tripods (carbon fiber) which can hold weight of slider and I get the same sturdy shot?

Hey Tom, nice work, this is a helpful and thorough review! I have a Konova slider now and it is sticky...what kind of oil do you recommend for the slider. I think someone said not to use something like WD40 (if you know that brand) so I am not sure what to lubricate my sticky slider with!

i have a black magic cinema camera and the konova k5 but i need two tripods wich one would you buy for good stability ? because i think these tripos in your reviwe are not good enough for a bmcc + fluidhead+ heavy lensen ^^

79eyesonly For the slider yes... although Konova just came out with a side support that allows you to use just one tripod and get stable shots... haven't tested it out yet though

its truly in the eye of the beholder. but for me, its not that great.
the material is too cheap for professional use. i will try the cinevate duzi slider that can be used by one single tripod. hope it works fine and steady / smooth by slow operation. would be nice to get more reviews of different sliders. there too many konova reviews
    these days^^
