Marky Polo What about the unborn? Infants and young children? The mentally ill and mentally or physically disabled? The enslaved and trafficked? Sometimes nature provides animals with abilities and instincts to survive in situations in which most humans would perish. Of course, the opposite is also true.

People who care for animals who are subject to people’s cruelty will help vulnerable people too. I believe when you care for the most vulnerable creatures your heart is opened to all including your fellow man. All life is precious.

Kerry Hughes. You're right, people who care for animals have a natural proclivity toward caring for people. But, there's a reason that people are on the streets. They have various problems ranging from mental illness to drug abuse to alcoholism. Those problems are not something that non-addicted is, stable people can easily deal with.

Viktor I am so proud of you. I have a hard time thinking about all the animals that go through such hardships, I can only imagine what you must go through seeing it first-hand. But the thing is, Viktor, because of you I look twice and three times when I see a bag on the side of the road. Or I look closer when I think I see a stray. All this because of what you have done to me. Of how YOU have touched me - imagine how many others you’ve done the same. You are changing people’s minds one video at a time, one Dog at a time. One person at a time.
I can feel you are meant for huge things. And imagine what you are trying to do will have ripple effects far into the future. You will change people’s perceptions in Spain. The farmers who have abused their dogs for hundreds of years....will end with you. And that’s how you change the world.
May my God bless you and may the Universe bestow blessings on you, your strays and all who you touch, including your youtube viewers.

What you did for Jesus is exactly the same as what you do for the animals you rescue. You gave him food and shelter, and the medical (psychiatric) treatment he needed, and helped him find his home. These are basic needs for all living creatures, whether they are "two-footed" or "four-footed". And you make the whole world better by helping them.
    P.S. - I am not Christian either.

What a sweet story. I rescued animals too for a long time, I fostered, I transported , donated, fundraisers etc. I started rescuing animals after helping too many people that are ungrateful sadly. Animals always appreciate when you've rescued them❤🐶❤🐶 the only person I helped that was grateful was a guy and his dog I saw hitchhiking, and I had a feeling they didn't know a 5 day ice storm was coming , the story is such a cool one and I'll never forget that, too much to write, but it had a happy ending. Anyway love tour videos Victor they are amazing. You don't have to go to church to have a relationship with the real Jesus, just thought I'd throw that in, Jesus is a pretty cool guy and I know he watches all the beautiful kind things you do😁❤❤❤

If you were not, you would never have helped Jesus and eventually got him the help he needed and also finding his family. GOD Bless you. Ivan, great story. You did take a risk, and I'm happy you made a friend. You two shared the love of animals, and your doggies got a good vibe from him. Their approval helped you to decide to help Jesus. I too have a friend with mental illness. He has been homeless and estranged from his family at times. These poor guys really have it rough; for life! And kids born into 3rd world conditions -- so sad. There are many helpful organizations and many causes. Good luck to them. You choose to carry the flag for our furry friends, and you do it well. Some that don't work as hard as you might be jealous of your results, and complain instead of commend. Ignore them. BOY, DO I HAVE STORIES FOR YOU. One day when I was living in the western US, I had a long, long conversation, close to two hours, with a homeless man. I listened intently to his life story, asked questions, which were politely answered and my mind reeled and analyzed as he spoke - I'm pretty worldly. He seemed to genuinely want to get to the Veteran's Hospital for treatment. I gave him $50 for bus fare and told him I hoped to never see him again because I wanted him to remain in treatment and away from the temptations in the city where we were. Not a WEEK later, I saw him again in the same spot, probably pouring out the same story. Talk about frustration! He wasn't the only one. There was a person I knew who had a good life but couldn't refrain from alcohol. He ended up at a homeless shelter. I happened to come across a story that a reporter wrote about him (complete with things he had said in quotes) and this person lied repeatedly about his life and his circumstances. This city that I lived in had people begging in the intersections with their children in diapers in extreme heat. One couple "borrowed" their toddler to another couple so that couple could evoke more sympathy and garner more money as they begged from people. I've ALWAYS loved animals; they have NEVER had ulterior motives, nor have I have I ever met one that is a LIAR. I've seen the worst of homelessness and of people. I attribute this huge problem in U.S. to drugs and alcohol. I know there are cultural differences between here and Spain, but if the homelessness there has arisen from the same root causes, I will be watching whatever you share with us with an overly-cautious eye and neutral expectations. I really hope that you can effect change if that is where your heart lies.

Robin R my husband runs a team in our city (we're in the UK, we have the same problem) feeding the homeless. We have observed there are 2 separate groups: homeless and beggars. I worked for 12 years right in the city centre where homeless guys slept in doorways, like the store where I worked. We can tell you, the homeless don't beg. We know many of them by name, and those I observed begging never came to the soup kitchen. And beggars, sadly, are often not homeless!! The police, the local council, The Salvation Army, will all tell you please, do NOT give money to beggars! Unfortunately your kind of story is not uncommon. If people really want to help, donate clothing, blankets or money to the Salvation Army. They are out there - or teams under their leadership - EVERY night feeding the homeless. Another reason no-one needs to beg. There is plenty of food, and a point of contact for all kinds of help.

Most people don’t bitch out the person fundraising for cancer research because they’re not fundraising for heart disease. It’s a simple concept....your passion is for animals therefore you’re doing what you do, for animals. I support this site because of that. If it was about humans, I wouldn’t be here. What you did was genuine and bespeaks your noble values of the animal lover. You took a huge risk with the homeless fellow, and yet you ended the experience by winning big: giving Jesus hope again and more importantly, reuniting him with his family. Viktor, you are awesome💕🍀 the best thing to happen to me is to be able to meet you in person someday and have a chat with you.
    God bless your soul💕🐾🌷

So many humans and animals are homeless, abused, forgotten and 'invisible'. I live in North Hills CA, USA, part of Los Angeles, and there are homeless people on the streets just 3 or 4 blocks from where I live. They have all their belongings in a shopping cart. Several camp under the freeway overpasses for shelter. Most businesses will not allow them to use the restroom unless they are a 'paying customer' but they have no money to buy anything. I understand businesses point also because of the messes some people make and leave in the restrooms but other non-homeless people mess up the restrooms also. A lot of fast food places have the drink dispensers in the dining area and the homeless people pick drink cups out of trash outside and walk in to get drinks. But a lot of other people ask for water cups and proceed to steal soda by refilling the cups multiple times. No matter where we live, there will be other people who struggle to survive each day. I guess a lot of people living in other countries think that everyone living in the USA is 'rich' so the poverty related problems do not exist. I am a senior citizen living on retirement and I help feed homeless cats each week. I have a place to live and am not at risk presently, but I will have to move within 2 years because I can't afford to pay the rent. But I have a roof over my head and safe housing, food and other needs that I pay for. I see homeless people every time I leave my apartment and go out on the streets. It is uncommon for a person who cares about animals to not care about humans. We do as much as we can and when we can for those we can do for. So Viktor, your caring for animals does not mean you do not care for humans. Because you are an animal rescuer and welfare advocate, you must keep some of your personal life out of public eyes. There are some people who do not share your views and would have no problem causing you and your family harm, just like the person who did that horrible act against the elderly lady you spoke about. I enjoy seeing the animals and workers at the White House and Pink House and it gives a sense of my being one of the family also. Best regards from me and my eight kitties, three of which are laying down beside me as I write.

ettab47 I really enjoyed reading your comment. I lived in both northern and southern California back in the 80s before the extensive homelessness and everything graffiti plastered started. I used to feel safe on the streets. There were no stray dogs running in the streets, either. It's so out of control now and I don't know what is going to stem the tide.

Please don't beat me up for this, I'm a cat-lover, but if you can't afford your rent, can you really afford to feed stray cats? Look after yourself, it's no sin, and perhaps there is a no-kill shelter in your area who could take some in? I hope you can keep your home for as long as possible. Much as we want to, we can't help every animal, try to enlist some help 🐱

Rachel M. Leave the woman alone. You know YOUR circumstances, but you don't know hers. I hate it when people tell others how to live. Who are you to question whether she can afford something? Let the lady live her own life.

    • @ettab4762
      @ettab4762 6 років тому

@Rachel M. I live in the City of Los Angeles. The number of cats and dogs on the streets is immense. I have called some of the 'animal rescues' in the past abut re-homing cats and all of them (no-kill) told me to turn the cats in to city Animal Control because they (the 'rescue') do not accept them. Most animals voluntarily surrendered are euthanized within minutes of surrender PLUS a fee is charged to surrender the animal. Many of the 'animal rescues' go to the shelter and get cats (or dogs) out so they can place them at their facility. The city shelter is full even with multiple locations. Several months ago a totally tame ginger male showed up at my apartment. He had mange. In order to keep the other community cats from exposure, I took the guy to the city shelter. They had to accept him at no charge because he was 'sick' and not my cat. They kept and treated him and later I saw him on their website available for adoption. Many people who might adopt an animal find the initial fees rather high because it includes spay or neuter, microchip and vaccinations. That does not necessarily mean the people would not be good pet owners. I am not beating you up but hope this rather lengthy post will let readers know what the aspects are of taking care of street animals and getting the 'lucky ones' into a place where they might get adopted. Fortunately there is a vet hospital where feral & community cats can be caught and taken so they can be spayed and neutered. The cats must be returned to where they were trapped. And rarely, a socialized cat gets taken from that hospital to prepare it for adoption. How many locations have the programs that we have in Los Angeles? I do what my pocketbook can afford and share the feeding route with another lady. Perhaps I should not have started feeding the cats in the first place, but I made a commitment. They likely could survive without us feeding them, but their quality of life would be diminished. The main thing is that people worldwide need to be educated to stop the uncontrolled population growth of cats and dogs and to stop the abuse of all animal species.

Viktor, I think one reason I have bonded so much with you and your mission is that we have the same deep passion for the innocents that need a helping hand. The animals definitely do not have tools to help themselves like humans do. But, I know many humans who lose their way in life, like Jesus, that just need a little help too. One huge issue in the USA is the homeless people that are all over our country. When I see documentaries about our problem it always points out that the majority of these people have mental illness. The USA used to have separate mental hospitals about 60 years ago. Do to some abuses going on our governments, national and state, shut them all down vs. figuring out how to solve the problems. The people in them ended up on the streets most of the time, sooner or later, because their family members did not know how or have the resources to help them. I live in a nice community in the mountains of Colorado but near our small marketplaces there are always homeless people standing on a busy street corner with their cardboard signs asking for money. Many of my friends get mad and think they are faking and just get money from people and go to their real home. Honestly, in my mind, that may be 1% but most are really in trouble. My friends say don’t give money, that will just encourage them to come back. Depending on the day, how close they are to my car, etc. I give themmoney. It does my heart good and they always say thank you. Rarely I have a $100 bill in my purse for some reason. But I love giving them that and see the look of surprise. I tell them to go to the local hotel and get a shower and a soft bed for the night. I feel I give them a chance to change their life for just one day. Now, many times they have a dog with them. I go to the grocery store and buy food and water for the dog and the person and take it to them. I know I cannot change the overall problem myself, but my soul is warmed for that moment and during the rest of the day for sure when I help a homeless person. My passion though is helping dogs. I volunteer weekly with our mill dog rescue in Colorado. My job when I go is to socialize the dogs that have lived in cages their whole lives. I try to repair the emotional damage so they can become ready for a forever home. As a retired business person, this gives me purpose and makes me happy when I start seeing the dogs come out of their shells. Now, as I am growing older, I also have a passion for helping what you do as a Patreon. I know I can’t give a lot monthly, but I do know that if many more like me just gave a little it could cover your expenses each month. As a retired accountant, I know the power of numbers! So, I do hope many more from around the world who have a passion for helping animals in need will join this cause. I look at your video every day when I get up and then go about my day. Knowing I am helping daily puts a spring in my step!

Why should I feel discouraged, Why should the shadows come, Why should my heart fell lonely and long for Heaven and home, When Jesus is my portion, a constant friend is He, His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches over me, His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches over me. I love the lyrics of this song referenced in Matthew chapter 6. If His eye is on the birds of the air, just think how much more our Heavenly Father watches over and cares about us. I do not know Mr. Larkhill personally, but like many.. I think his cause is motivated by the best reasons - the most devoted way to love those less fortunate. How he does this, with a caring spirit, heart and passionate dedication, has recently been expanded to include orphaned children. Be careful about telling strangers that 'they' are somehow not connected to God. Frankly, you sound more SELF-righteous than righteous. Bless Mr. Larkhill, his supporters, vet and care teams...and all the fine work he does, in the Christ-like spirit in which he does it.

But when all is said n done, if we deny Jesus before men, He will deny us before His Father n no place will be found for us in heaven. God is real n He made a way. That way is the only way. That way is Him who you reject--Jesus.

What an incredible story. God bless you for listening to your heart and helping this man. Many years ago, I did the same thing for a homeless man. I was married and had 2 young kids but something inside me (not a voice) told me to do this for this man. The man said he belonged to AA and was really trying to avoid a relapse. I called his AA counselor and he said the guy was harmless. We took him home, fed him, washed his clothes, let him take a shower, gave him some money etc. and then drove him to an AA meeting place the next day. YES, that was extremely risky and tbh not sure I would do that again in this day and age. It is up to each one of us to do our part in this journey called life. Viktor, you didn’t leave Christianity, you just got off track. I am praying for you that you find your way back. Jesus Christ is welcoming you with open arms. Not the religious relationship but a personal relationship with Christ. Let your life and all that you do for the good of mankind count. God WILL bless you richly.

Yes I also was brought up as a "Christian" by lovely mom & good dad - I really liked Tom Winter - Anglican priest who was SO sincere - rode a bicycle everywhere...now Clergy are in huge R400 000 4X4's (my dad had seen too much horror in WW2 & viewed clergyclass in general as HYPOCRITES blessing guns on both sides - mostly CATHOLIC PRIESTS but also few of the others)... until I studied the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses & discovered Satan behind all the mayhem & cruelty to both humans & creation going on but his days are numbered... it's like a Courtcase, a huge trial is in progress, Satan's days are numbered... I wish I cld say I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses but I AM NOT GOOD ENOUGH as I am a rebel & too VOCAL re injustices & wld bring reproach on Almighty God's Holy name & his named people...
I HATE to see homeless which is EVERYWHERE in every country... How about the MEGA RICH... ie. GEORGE CLOONEY & WIFE; MICK JAGGER (one tour earned the Rolling Stones £690m!!!) Elon Musk; Buffet; Kardashians, Beyonce, Royals et al... etc etc etc... I cld FILL this with FATCAT CUSHY NAMES.... why don't they help Homeless & Destitute????????!!!!!

denny smith. Hi Denny, Viktor's not a Dr. I am totally dumbfounded by the UK's (and the world's) obsession with "The Royals". Understand that my ancestor were "landed gentry", which I find ridiculous, too. Social class, social class, social class. In it's own way, the UK parallels India with it's castes. Why do the masses look upon the royals as though they're a gift from God? To me, they're a family of leaches, living off the populace for no particular reason. Sounds like a brainwashed cult to me. What's the deal with people?

Viktor , with all due respect , I knew that you had not found Jesus Christ , because Jesus Christ is not the one who is lost. I was a bit taken aback because I see the Lord working through you with these precious creatures of his. You have the heart of our Lord. You may not realize where it comes from , but I can assure you that it is no accident that you crossed paths with Jesus on the street. God puts suggestions into our mind. We can listen and obey , or we can ignore. You are listening to him , although you don't realize it. God is using you as his vessel to help these innocent creatures of his. I have always believed in God , prayed , sometimes went to church , I would talk to him all the time. I was not raised into a religion (Thank God!) , but I have a mother who taught us children to always trust in God. I could tell you what he did throughout my entire life , but that will take forever. I have a severe disability. (Rheumatoid Arthritis) , I lost my husband when I was only 39 , in 2003. He was ill for several years. Was it a coincidence that I was put on a new medication which enabled me to return to working when my husband could no longer work? No. Was it luck that I landed a job making great money to support us both after not being able to work in 7 years ? No. Was it a coincidence that I kept my job long enough to see my husband through his illness (4 years) , then get laid off 2 weeks after he passed away? No. That's when I hit my lowest point. I was devastated over the loss of my husband. I now had no job that was easy for me to work with RA. My RA had become worse. The med no longer helped me. My dog Barney had inoperable bladder Cancer. I spent my savings trying to save him to no avail. He was my baby. Now , I was about to lose my house , car , utilities were getting shut off. I had to go live with a friend throughout the winter because I couldn't afford heat. To make a long story short , I kept having worse and worse things happening. I no longer wanted to live. I had a breakdown. Then , I cried out to God to help me. One day , I walked into the doctor's office and sat down in the waiting room next to a 76 year old woman. I was severely depressed. Something told me to speak to this woman. I ignored the thought. It became stronger , and stronger until I gave in. I told her that her shoes looked comfortable. She said "Oh , honey , they are. My son bought them for me." Well , we really hit it off . We talked about our love for our dogs , our husband's who passed away , etc. We exchanged phone numbers , and became best friends despite the age difference. She was the Godliest woman I have ever and probably will ever know in my entire life. Miss June lived her life by the Bible. She became my mentor with God. He had sent her to teach me how to become close to him. (Not a religion) Miss June told me to never be afraid if she is praying for me and begins to speak in tongues. I said I would never be afraid of her. She had several gifts of the holy spirit given by God. She walked up to a woman in the grocery store one day and asked if she could pray for her. She told the woman that God told her that she had Cancer. The woman began to cry. She said " Yes, I do have stage 4 breast Cancer , please pray for me." I didn't know what to think. She laid hands on her and prayed for her. Miss June would sometimes spend the entire day in her house Just praying and spending time with the Lord. She was a very faithful servant of his. I only wish that I could be that faithful. I started going to church with Miss June. I asked her why she never asked me to go with her. She said that she wanted me to go on my own. I did. Anyway , during this time I was still having many hardships. One Saturday night I was talking to God. I was crying , and I said "Father , I wish I could hug you , I wish you could hug me". I wanted so badly to be comforted by him. I was desperate to hear from him. The next day in church Miss June came up to the alter to pray with me , as she always did. Again , I said to him quietly in my mind "Oh , Father , I wish I could hug you , I wish you could hug me". Suddenly , Miss June put her arms around me and pulled me close to her squeezing me tightly. Then she began speaking in my ear and said "My child , I will never leave you ,or forsake you. If you keep my hand in yours , I will keep your hand in mine. You have had shackles on you for a very long time. Today , I am removing them."
I knew that was Miss June's arms and voice , but It was God who hugged me and had spoken to me. I just cried with joy because my Father had reached out to comfort me. It was a love which I cannot describe. I wouldn't take a million dollars for the memory of that hug. I asked Miss June if she new what she said. She said No, it is a message only for me , but I can share if I like. So , I did , and continue to do so in hopes that people will know how wonderful our Father is , and how much He truly loves us. I promised him that I would tell everyone who crosses my path the great testimony I have. Since then , he has spoken to me in many ways. I know that he was the one who told me to talk to Miss June that day at the doctor's office. I'm glad that I listened. I'm closer to him now. Miss June passed away a few years ago. She was 84. I miss her terribly. She once said "Connie , we must set the example for others to see Jesus in us. Sometimes, we are the only Bible that they are reading. She was right. Viktor , I'm sorry , that my comment is so long , but like you , If I can save something or someone .......I will.
Continued prayers , God bless! ❤

Victor some of us are called to help people and some of us are called to help animals but we can’t all do everything what matters is that we are doing our bit and we are doing the best we can which is what you’re doing! It was very good of you to help that man called Jesus but sadly he had a mental illness of which he needed professional help that was beyond you but you did the best you could for him even finding his family, you are a very exceptional person the world could do with more people like you.

It’s pronounced Hea - suz. But even when you don’t believe ? that’s okay because God believes in you ! I pray some day you will meet your savior, religion is man made but a relationship with Jesus is priceless !!
You have such a wonderful kind soul ! Don’t deny a relationship with Jesus he is right there beside you ! You might not see him ? Or feel him But he guides your loving heart, your love for Gods hurting and homeless animals .....Yes indeed I believe he gifted you this caring, loving nature
I thank God for all you do !and protect you from harm ! !

Unfortunately there will always be those who find something negative to say, even about people like you that want nothing more than to help those in need. Please don't let those people get to you. You are a wonderful person. I thank God for you and your entire team. Blessings and hugs from Texas.

Viktor rescues dogs (and other critters as the need arises). That is what is in his heart to do. His compassion for dogs is not discounted because he is not rescuing "29,000 children a day who die....". Each of us should do what we know is right to do and we are able to do. We are never to judge how another person's compassion manifests in ways that are different than our own. There are plenty of people and animals for each of us to hold out a helping hand to light the darkness. Thank you Viktor for what you do! You are an amazing man with a heart of gold. God bless you!

You said you're no longer a Christian but you remembered what most self proclaimed Christians seem to forget, all too easily.
This is a part of the Parable of the sheep and the goats that is quite fitting...
“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’
“The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me."
So yes, you did find Jesus.
    :)

Yes he did! I am saddened by his leaving the faith. If you will I must say to you Victor if you read this please know that I still see Jesus living in you. Jesus came to serve not to be served. And dear man that is exactly what you do. God bless you Viktor. Your love abounds.

Jezus as a Christ doesn't exist (everybody with healthy brains knows that). But good people do....And we need a lot of good people to make this world a better place...💖
Most of the people very close to me, family and friends, are not religious but respect the 10 commantments Mozes notched in a stone on the mountain. This commantments have a lot of value and the people around me respect them and live by it. But.....most of the Christian people i know don't. So again....you don't need to be a Christian to respect values and have a healthy moral sense...😊

When we had our short cold spell recently I must admit I thought first of the poor homeless folk, I dont question why they are homeless, I was just passing a new huge gold adorned Kadampa temple (a budhhist off shoot) built at enormous expense in the Spanish countryside where I live and thought how much those millions could have helped people by providing hostel accomodation and or cafeterias for poor and homeless folk. Many homeless people have mental health problems like Jésus as well.
I also am reminded of passing by the original set up 10 years ago and meeting 2 women who lived there who were staring down at a tiny kitten someone had abandoned with a bottle of danone and surrounded by stones (for safety?). What can we do? They said. Pick him up was my response suiting my actions to my words. Turned out no animals were allowed at the temple.
Lucio is now huge and snoozing on my as I type this. 🐱
